I just started a new thread about this, but now that you're all sorted out and have af (Yay!) MY body's starting to confuse me. AF was quite light and only lasted 3 days with NO spotting afterwards and no cramps. My temp has also stayed at or just above the coverline the whole time. Also (TMI warning), I've been constipated the past 3 days even though I always get diarrhea with af. All of a sudden I got scared I might actually be pregnant and hurting my baby by taking Vitex and SP. I took and ic and got a BFN. Should I just assume it was a strange period caused by swaying and continue to take the supps?

Oh, I think I would hold off the supplements for a couple of days and test again just in case. It probably is just a weird cycle maybe caused by supps or weight loss. I had a strange period at the beginning of this cycle, I really think you should make sure you are at the upper limit of the calories

I'm trying to get to at least 1700 calories per day, but some days I find that hard without getting too high with protein or sodium. I know yesterday I didn't get enough calories - that often happens when I don't eat pasta for supper.
A 3 day period isn't going to affect my fertility too much, is it?

I just said much the same on the other thread.. will be interested to see any suggestions on this!

I really don't know and nothing is permanent anyway, if the problem is weight loss, you just have to simply put some back on, that is my understanding anyway. It's just all so unknown, it could be anything. Are you still losing weight or have you plateaued? I'm sure, if it is a different period, atomic would say different is good for your pink sway.

mocha, my periods aren't really heavy anyway but this last month it was particularly light. I pretty much had one day of medium/heavy flow and 2 days of light flow. We were able to DTD on cd4! I personally wouldn't read too much into it but I understand your worries. I'm sure it won't do any harm to your sway to hold off taking the supps for a couple of days if you want to be sure and do another test.

Thanks, ladies! My weight has plateaued - I only lost one pound in the last month or so, so I think I figured out a balance to help me maintain this weight. I found a website that lets you calculate how many calories you need to maintain your current BMI - it told me I need 1900, so I guess I should try to eat a bit more just to be safe.

YAY for AF swish, I would feel so relieved! Now your next attempt is near, I bet september is your month!
I think your sway is fine without the supps, I was doubting to drop SP too, after this cycle I won´t take it anymore.

That's a useful website, thanks mocha, I need just under 2000 calories so that'll be a teal challenge!
I hope you're right about sept, indira!

Wow, guess I fell off the face of the earth! Went back to work last week from summer vacation and today was the first time I've had to even log on my computer. Sounds like most of you are doing well and preparing for a September sway. No BFP for me in August, so on to September too.

Good luck for this month LadyScarlett - I think time when you can't get to your computer is usually a good thing!
The deed is done :D My poor DH may need to sleep for a few days now!

Hi all,
I got my blood results from the docs today. It ws actually really interesting. My testosterone levels were just a bit below average so that's good news and I feel better about not using sp. My oestrogen levels were also average. I was however low on lh and fsh levels, don't know what that means and neither did doc but said it wasn't a worry!!! Anyone know?

swish when did you stop it?

Don't panic swish, it may not be the Vitex at all - so many women take it for irregular cycles or because they can't get pregnant and it helps them. Perhaps it's just to do with your diet lowering your fertility?

Hi everyone! :)
Sorry I have not been on the thread! I have been trying to keep my mind off swaying a little bit as I think it was getting the best me...
I just finished my last night of clomid... boy.. that stuff gave me the worst night hot flashes! I am trying to stay hopeful at this point that it helps. :)
I am also trying to maintain my weight by upping my calories a bit. Besides my food poisioning incident on monday night (minor set back! lol) I am doing ok with it....
I hope you all are doing well!!! :) I am so thinking about you zanacal!!!! :) :)

I took it for 3 weeks every day at the beginning of may (my first cycle) and every other day for my second cycle with the last one taken about 5 aug. I'm trying not to strss, z, but do feel this could be my problem. I can't help but keep thinking hoe my periods stopped for 5/6 months each of the 2 times I stopped the contraceptive pill so I must be more prone to hormone changes. Atomic said this is not related to how vitex affected me but I don't know??? It did really lengthen my cycles that first month.

Yes you did get that really weird long cycle too didn't you? {hugs}
I just posted this on the 2WW thread but I always get 2 days of +OPKs. My first was yesterday and we DTD this morning because I wanted our attempt to be on O day but I just took my second OPK and it was negative! So now I have no idea whether we BD'd a few hours before O, right on top of O or a few hours afterwards. I feel like I have such a small chance of being pregnant!

I'm glad you got some answers, swish! I hope everything gets back to normal soon - you have af now, so that's half the battle. Now you've made me nervous about taking Vitex and SP - should I assume that since it hasn't affected my cycle dramatically I'm ok?
Z - can you tell from your cm and cp whether or not you've O'd yet?

I don't think I have any cm - there is dampness today but I think it's Aci-jel! It did cross my mind when I took the OPK that it might be negative because although my cervix is still open, it's lower than it was yesterday. I'm thinking we probably DTD at the moment my egg popped - woops!
