Hi ladies, my friend wants to join the great world of nub guessing. She is measuring 13 weeks. Thanks for any guesses.

Oh no, how sad! How far along was she and did they find the defect on the regular scan? Or did baby just die unexpectedly? I hope your friend is doing ok.

They found out at her 20 week scan. The baby died two weeks later from its own defect. She is totally gutted. This is also her second loss as 1st baby had no heartbeat at 12 week scan so was a missed miscarriage. She has great support but feels totally depressed. I'm hoping she finds inner strength to get through this.

Wishing your friend all the strength she needs to get though.

That is just so sad and unfair! She has gone through a lot. Does she have any living children?

I know, no she doesn't have any living children. Hoping she continues to try tho after some time.

Oh no! How unfair for a heart defect to happen twice! I hope and pray she heals and tries again. She may want to get testing done on the baby to see if there is a genetic cause that can be corrected.
So sad [emoji22]

Yes, I really hope she doesn't give up.
My DH's grandmother gave birth to her first two full term babies who died (still born boy) and a baby girl with spinal bifida who died right after birth. She asked her doctor if she would ever have healthy, living children. Her doctor said "You, Mrs. ....., are going to have many, many healthy children!". She ended up having 6 healthy babies after that (3 boys and 3 girls - has to be mentioned, since this is after all a gender forum  ). So sometimes you just get unlucky twice in a row, however unfair it might be. I also have a friend who had two 12 week miscarriages in a row who ended up having healthy babies after that. But I can understand if your friend has lost quite a bit of hope. I do hope she tries again, no matter how difficult it might be for her.
