Hello-

I am on my first month of TTC. I will ovulate next Sunday, so we are going to abstain this next week! So excited to start this journey!!

Good luck! Fx you catch a sticky pink egg!
I am currently 2ww. I tested yesterday at 11dpo and got a bfn :( I was disappointed as I SWORE I had implantation spotting on Tuesday (7dpo) along with several early pregnancy symptomes. I'm hoping it was just too early too test and I don't get any signs AF is coming.

I'm on my 7th cycle TTC but I've been swaying since November 2013, with the exception of a 3 month break over the summer. So I am getting towards the end of my rope.
I'm 9DPO in the TWW, but I will wait until 15DPO to test, though AF could arrive at any time as my LP is erratic. I can't handle more endless BFNs this month (I've been testing since 7DPO every cycle before now).

I prob won't start trying until next dec/jan but have been making changes like stopping snacking etc. but am planning on buying a personalised plan shortly with my birthday money, then buying an extra 6 months coaching once that's lapsed! Excited to get started but have delayed it due to moving bad all the stresses that come with that!! :hair:

We had our attempt last night. I've been vegetarian for 3 weeks now and loose le diet for 3 weeks before that. And exercising for 6 weeks. I've been taking my antidepressant, fiber and folic acid. Dh has been taking his OLE and not eating meat either. On one hand, I'm hoping our attempt isn't successful so I have another month to keep swaying and in the other hand, I hope there's a baby on board. I keep praying to our future daughter hoping she will come to us. I've never wanted something so much in my entire life.

I am just starting to think about a possible sway, maybe around June this year. I am usually a pretty healthy eater so the idea of the diet makes me nervous :worry: Ladies already on it, is it very hard?

This is so exciting ladies!!! I CAN'T wait until next Sunday. It took me 3 months with both of my sons so I am guessing it will take a little longer swaying…A March/April little girl would be perfect for my work schedule but I will take her any time I can!!!

I have been on LE since Jan 1st and our first attempt will be in April. I'm going to have my Tubal Reversal in a week (eek!!) and then we have to wait until April to start ttc. DH and I are both getting very anxious and excited to start trying!
Good luck everyone! :D

BrightSky, it depends on what you pre swaying diet and eating habits are like and how strictly you do the diet, but it absolutely can be manageable and is MUCH easier than standard weight loss diets. It is not a starvation diet. Plus, your mind and body will adjust, it will become a habit with time, and then it's not so bad unless it takes more than 6 months to conceive. I think the idea of the diet is actually the worst part, then the beginning. But always keep in mind that you can ease into it as gradually as you want, it doesn't need to be an abrupt, overwhelming change. Then again, if you prefer to jump right in, that can work too. Regardless, make it fit your life, not the other way around.

I'm in no real hurry, thinking the end of the year now as I sit here watching my almost one year old eat tissues I think I will try and ease into it, maybe go vegetation first, this part will be easy for me, not so much my husband, he can make some of his own meals! I also worry about low energy levels on the diet and looking after a small child and working. Guess I will start it and see how it goes, maybe being at work will get my mind off it!

Hey ladies! I'm towards the end of my sway don't know if that counts .....32 weeks and meeting DD in 6 weeks time! I just wanted to jump in and say BrightSky I found the diet hard at first but quickly I got really good at it and it no longer bothered me...I think you will find your groove! On a positive note it was great going into pregnancy that much lighter and as a result I look the best out of all three pregnancies! I should add I was on the diet for 8 mths. X

Congratulations kitkat18!! You must be so excited!! Glad to hear to diet gets easier!! Love hearing about a successful sway. My OB doesn't think it is possible to 'sway' the odds, but reading all the experiences on this site there has to be something in it?!

I tested today and think I had a BFP but will know for sure tomorrow when I use a FR. I've been ttc for 14 months with a break on and off. The last few months I've been very relaxed in my sway and if we aren't pregnant by March we will probably stop.

Good luck Mars! I hope the BFP is stronger tomorrow!
I'm just starting my sway after reading up on all the IG stuff for a while and then coming here and deciding it makes more sense. I had already been on a diet but I have tweaked it to be more LE, its probably still not proper LE but I'm trying to adapt to it. DH is currently abstaining and I'm hoping I O on CD16 like last month! We will just do one attempt which is different to how my two boys were conceived.

I have been told by two very reliable psychics that this is a girl and I am going to get the "answer to all my prayers" so I am hoping that they are right! I do feel it might be a girl but it might just be wishful thinking!!

I am thinking it will take us a while to conceive. DH seems to think it's going to happen instantaneously, I'm really worried he's going to be upset when it doesn't happen on the 1st attempt. How on earth can I prepare him for it? DS1 & DS3 were both surprises. DS2, hubby didn't know that I was trying (lol!) but we got pg the 1st attempt. With DS4, I only told him we were trying after 2 attempts didn't work but then we got pg the next cycle. So, he thought we got pg right away. I kind of regret keeping him in the loop this time. I didn't think he'd get so excited. :(

February 17th, 2015, 05:11 PM
I don't think there is anyway to prepare really except cautioning him when he gets really excited. I sound like such a debbie downer lol but i also thought we would get pg straight away as when we ttc#2 i got pg 1st month (had a mmc), got pg again 1 month later (had another mmc), got pg again a couple of cycles later (chemical) and then 4 months later got pg with ds2, so i could get pg very very easy just couldn't keep them. Ttc#3 was a bit of a shock. I had 2 chemicals in those 2 1/2 yrs. First one was 12 months into ttc and 2nd was 2 cycles before i got pg with ds3.

Are you taking Folate instead of Folic Acid? You might have the MTHFR mutation like I do. I've researched it and just discussed it with my doctor today and I'm supposed to take 4mg of Folate plus baby aspirin while ttc and throughout my pregnancy. The MTHFR genetic mutation can increase risk of miscarriage because it causes your blood to clot really easily which can cause the pregnancy to end. It is easy to treat though. I'm just wondering if that's why you had so many miscarriages. I've also had a lot of them and am hoping the Folate and aspirin will help prevent them in the future. That's a whole other thing that I am going to have to remind DH about. FX we all get sticky little beans!! :D

I have aps (antiphospholipid syndrome), very dangerous during pregnancy. I am already on low dose aspirin for it. It appeared secondary to my SLE (lupus). I have a hat trick of health issues lol.. SLE, APS and PCOS. The doctors look at me like i have 2 heads lol. My pregnancy with ds3 ( i was only diagnosed 2 months before conceiving) i was watched very carefully and took aspiring throughout the pregnancy and had to deliver at 38 weeks as the risk of stillbirth goes up dramatically with SLE after the 38th week. Add that to the fact i was trying for a vbac (failed) along with my other health issues, the doctors where quietly freaking out while i laboured and then had another c section lol. They broke my waters since i can't have syntocin to induce contractions because of previous c section. I think they were glad to see the back end of me when i was discharged!

February 20th, 2015, 12:28 PM
Been on the LE diet 5 weeks (vegetarian. About 1300 calories daily. Lost about 5 lbs)
Doing fiber, folate and DH is doing LR and OLE ( liquid form)
My clomid will get here in a couple of weeks but I will get a positive OPK in 2-3 days.
I'm tempted to do one attempt and kinda hoping it fails at the end so that I can get my mind occupied until next month and honestly to test if one attempt with a large cut off ( 4 days work).

Hi this seems like a nice thread. I've been reading about swaying for about a month and have been trying to alter my diet to include less high potassium foods and more simple carbs and trying to maintain low blood sugar during the day.
I'm finding it hardest on an evening not to binge on high fat chocolate after tea. Is anyone else struggling with this? I'm also not yet losing any weight so may start an exercise routine up. We plan to Ttc in April however I won't ovulate until early May so have a little more time. Has anyone found they have less ewcm while on this diet? I'm not sure if it's just coincidence as this is my first ovulation.
maidentomother
February 24th, 2015, 07:34 PM
Yep the LE diet definitely reduces EWCM. It's part of how it sways, I think.
Bobster
February 25th, 2015, 04:13 AM
Oh good I'm obviously doing something right then. Just need to start losing weight and exercising more.
Do you know why vegetarians are more likely to sway pink? One of my friends has been vegetarian from birth and she has 2 girls but she eats loads of fatty foods, cheese, bread and potatoes therefore must have a lot of potassium in her diet. Is it to do with a lack of protein? Also how long does it take for the polarity of the egg to change if you went vegetarian?

February 25th, 2015, 10:07 AM
How is everyone doing? I am currently 2DPO so excited to test!!
maidentomother
February 25th, 2015, 07:26 PM
Bobster, potassium doesn't sway. That's an outdated, erroneous swaying technique. There is no change in egg polarity - another made up idea with no evidence backing it. Your friend's husband could have low sperm count, they could rarely have sex, maybe she has very little CM, or any number of hidden factors and yes low protein and being veggie sways. But you can't look just at how someone eats to explain why she conceived a certain gender, and what worked for her won't necessarily work for you. Bread and potatoes are great for pink. Cheesein moderation is fine. High fat however sways blue.
