PLEASE don't give up! These tests are just a best guess! Women conceive all the time with dismal numbers. I would talk with Atomic about what you can do to boost egg quality.

From October to November, my FSH increased to 45.4 and my AMH was LESS than 0.3- it wasn't even detectable!! My AFC showed I have the appropriate amount of eggs in both follicles for my age and my lining is perfect. I am doing acupuncture, because I am not a good candidate for meds. The acupuncture is working; before weaning DS2 my cycles returned to what they were before having kids! I am hopeful its working! (If you want to PM me, I can tell you more about acupuncture and can help you find someone affordable in your area- Google POCA)

Be mindful of this but don't let it get you down. It will take us longer, but I believe it WILL happen!!! Please be kind to yourself! This is not your fault, you did nothing to make this happen, and you DO deserve another child! Hugs [emoji8]!

How old are you? Here is some info on AMH- http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ht-family-balancing-info-and-current-cycles/47385-amh-levels.html

My AMH was low and I used DHEA. You only need one good egg! As long as you are ovulating, there is a chance!

Thank you again for your support XX. I will be going in on CD 3 for FSH. I do not want to give up, I just feel soooo sad. I will see what I can do to increase my odds. I do know of an acupuncturist but can not afford it. It is not in the budget right now since we are seeing an RE. I guess I will see what she says. I don't care for her a lot but don't have many options where I am. This just really stinks!!!!

I just turned 39 last month. She suggested taking DHEA but Atomic suggested I see what the bloodwork showed. Wonder if I should start? I will go read up on that link. Thank you!

NBP- did you end up conceiving on your own using DHEA, or did you go HT? I wonder if it would help and not sway too strongly blue for non- HTers.

NBP- I just read your post! I have a question, what is the androgen test called? I am thinking of making an appointment with my GP and ask for this. The RE basically sent me on my way and said diagnostically, I should keep trying and have a good chance of getting pregnant despite of my numbers. The RE based this on my AFC and lining.

If you're getting DHEA levels tested I always recommend waiting to get results. DHEA when you don't need it can mess things up.

But that having been said, 39 with a low AMH is somebody who may be getting into the age range wehre DHEA might help so it is something to keep in the background.

She was going HT for a boy. I do think DHEA may sway blue but if a person really needs it, it may be worth considering. My concern with the DHEA is not swaying necessarily, it's that I don't want people taking it if they don't need it because it can really mess you up if your levels are normal.

Don't give up! I also had a very low amh despite being very fertile! I tried 3 times and had 3 boys and was shocked ivf would not work for me. I bought a customized plan for swaying from atomic and have a beautiful 8 month baby girl! I still pinch myself everyday for her!
The sway worked the first month we tried! Now after going through swaying and reading about how boys/ girls are made, I know look at families and say yep I know why you have girls or boys. The data makes sense. Don't give up hope there are other options beside ivf. Good luck:)

Awww honey don't lose faith. I had a friend that was told they could never conceive. So after hearing that they gave up on the idea entirely. Fast froward; she was falling ill due to something and had to antibiotics and other meds and she got pregnant and had their first DD!

Hi Atomic,
Regarding the DHEA, the RE's office said that it doesn't matter what my levels are and said with my low AMH I should take it. WHat do you think? They suggested 75 mg?

atomic sagebrush
February 25th, 2015, 12:25 PM
oooookay...not my preference, but they're the experts.

Well, I do think it tends to sway blue so I would prob. have you start off lower, like 25. We want just enough to help the egg quality without swaying blue.

djmommy
February 25th, 2015, 12:30 PM
Oh wow, I had no idea it swayed blue. If they didn't even check my levels I don't know how much I want to rely on everything they say. They do 600 mg of coq10 and DHEA for everyone and that just shouldn't be.

Looking forward to getting my plan!!! :)

atomic sagebrush
February 26th, 2015, 03:27 PM
I put them both in your plan, 400-600 mg coq and then 25 mg of DHEA. I always feel comfier if people have their levels tested but I know people who haven't and had good results with it.

Remember, this is a radio dial, not a light switch, and we're too far the one direction, so we need to dial it back slightly the other direction to get you pregnant. No BFP = No girl. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/25293-three-essays-swaying.html

I am having CD 3 bloodwork tomorrow and they said if my FSH is higher than 15 she probably won't do the HSG. WHy? I really need to find out if this other tube is really blocked. In August my FSH was 12.7.

No, when I checked it, a couple of the people who bought plans also needed theirs right away and while I can rearrange with people who don't need a plan right away, I can't with people who also need theirs right away if that makes sense. I am almost done with it.

Unlike when I do q's in the forum I have to have high concentration when I do the plans or I make mistakes. So I have to work around naps and stuff, that is why you'll sometimes see me answer q's in the forums when you want your plans right away. I really do try hard to get them back to everyone as quick as I can.

because in their minds your odds of conception are low and it would simply be a waste of money. :( Sometimes doctors forget they work for us and not the other way around.

Just got caught up on your thread, and, BIG HUGS djmommy! So sorry about the disappointing news. :(

As for the HSG, honestly, WTF?!? I am so sick of arrogant doctors. You're probably paying for it anyways, so why the heck do they care what your chances are??? It's not even going to impact fertility success rates if it's IVF clinic.

Honestly, do RE's forget it's called an INfertility clinic? How incredibly infuriating.

Thanks Lace! Believe me, I am with you, especially since I am paying for everything!! I don't get it because IVF is totally not an option for us and I would walk out if she even recommended that because with high FSH there is such a low percentage! I am just praying for good numbers today so I can at least have a chance to check my tubes again!! I have read that it fluctuates so heres hoping its lower today!! :)

My Anti mullerian levels were low and I also have only 6 follicles I was gutted too, feel like it's not going to work for me and I can only afford to have one go I think. In my head I see this little girl, a little girl I have always wanted I just can't give up the dream! I am taking 50mg of dhea and also q10, fish oil, conception pills and need to take taking 5mg of folic acid. Is there anything else anyone else can recommend? Since I've been told I have low ovarian reserve feel like my world has ended :(

What are in "conception pills" hun??

Can u switch to folate instead of folic acid?

I would follow the "atomic fertility diet" variation in this thread http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/9052-swaying-under-special-circumstances-part-3-pcos.html

Are you going HT or low??? I know it's hard when you are going HT to be told you have low ovarian reserve but when TTC naturally, you only need ONE beautiful egg and even with low AMH levels, you can still make good eggs - maybe only one a month or even just a couple times a year, but you just need to be in position to catch that egg - Goldie the Golden Egg! :)

Hi Everyone , looking for some advice. Have been with Dr savaas in cyprus and he has been helping me with trying to get the little girl I have always wanted. Found out with testing that I have a low ovarian reserve and so have been on 600 amps of menorial and 0.5 of suprefact . At scan showed I had 6-7 follicles some too small to produce eggs. He told me chance of getting four actually only retrieved two! Devastated ! He is talking about another cycle but it's so expensive ! Has anyone got any positive outcomes from just two eggs? Feel like he's written them off already! Also he knew I was only there for a week but he can be awful about passing information on, costs etc. he wanted me to stay until tuesday to see if I produved more eggs but was my 2 boys and I just couldn't do it with work and the kids and the cost but he acted like it was a surprise ! I know that's nothing to do with it but I feel utterly crushed ! Gone through all that injecting myself four times a day and taking supplements and my crap body just isn't doing what it is supposed to . I'm 35 amd that not even old although I feel like I must have the insides of a 90 year old ! I don't know what to do??!!! Savaas has said he will biopsy the eggs this week is that to see if they're good? What happens then will they be fertilised with my husbands sperm sample? Suppose that's jumping the gun a bit.... Do they need to be checked out first.... What's a bad egg anyway?
So low right now feel like it's never going to happen :(
