I'm having twins!

I just found out i'm having twins!
I'm in a shock but excited too. I had an ultrasound with 6 weeks and we saw only one baby. Now with 9 weeks there are 2 in there!
This means a lot..Lots of checks, i'll have to stop working earlier and i will be a mommy of four!! Can't beleave it :omg:

Are there some twin experienced mums here?

They don't share anything fortunately, they both have their amnion sack.

I really felt pregnant just 7 days after DTD, i had cramps, bigger boobs and nausea. But i thought that om just too much looking for every symptom.

I than had my doubs that it maybe twins, but because with 6 weeks we saw just one i forget about the whole twin story..

I'm excausted right now of all the emotions. Got a terrible headache so ill go to bed early.

Oh wow, what a surprise and shock that must have been! I bet it will take some time to really sink in! Congrats and I hope you have at least one little girl in there!!!! I have a mommy friend of mine who is pregnant with twins right now and is just about to hit 37 weeks. Amazing!

I slept again terrible last night, i dreamed about double as much diapers, a twin stroller and buying twin clothes ;)

It's surreal indeed, but i love the idea that they will allways have each other in their lives.

Today a collegae told me a horrible story (she doesn't know i Carry twins): a friend of her lost one twin with 13 weeks...
That really scares me, i don't want to loose one of them :(

It is always hard to hear things like that but people do lose single babies and one of twins sometimes but as the later is more uncommon I suppose people think it is more interesting (though not helpful) to share. Things will probably be fine. It is hard not to worry with a twin pregnancy but as long as you look after yourself and are healthy you have a good chance of two babies. Most twin pregnancies result in two live babies. I was worried more about losing one than I was when I was pregnant with my singleton. I guess they feel very much like a pair and I always worried about how the other one would feel about it if it did happen. I think these fears are very normal but I would try not to worry! I'm sure you have two healthy babies in there and I hope that at least one of them is a girl for you :)

But like you say, it would be heartbreaking loosing one of them. I allready feel such a conection with both of them..

Oh my that is awesome, huge congrats! And don't listen to people telling you horrible stories. You have a much greater chance of everything being alright and having two healthy babies. Try to relax and connect with your babies. I always tried to convince myself that worrying will not change a thing. If something goes wrong, it won't hurt less because you've already been worried. It only deprives you of living in the here and now, where you are carrying twins. How amazing is that?! Be proud of your body and be gentle with yourself.

The second baby is confirmed girl! The first one didn't want to turn so that wasn't so clear, but it might be a girl as wel.

I have a c-section planned in the second week of september, at 37 weeks. I really hope to keep them inside untill then. My babies allways come out small so it's the best for them to keep them untill then.

But it's hard...My belly is huge! I feel like every day it's getting harder. I sleep badly and walking hurts, but evertything is ready for them so i can keep calm. Since this morning i allso feel that i'm ready for them and happy to have 2 babies. Untill now the idea of having 2 babys kinda scared me...

I'd love to hear more about being pregnant with twins, and how it is with them later :) it fascinates me. You'll have to post once in awhile, or write a blog :)

My girls are born!
Last week, at 37 weeks pregnancy, my water broke. They are just perfect, beautiful, i'm soo happy!
Saying to somebody the words "my daughters" is still incredible!

I had a c-section, so i'm still recovering. That not easy with the boys who need to take a shower, get ready for school and stuff..But i'll be ok :happy:

The girls are doing so fine! I can look at them all day and see someting new every time again :HH:

Was your morning sickness way worse or about the same as with your boys? I'm still hoping for twins but my ms is about the same and then today she said my uterus wasn't giving any signs of twins... I'm 8wks 5days.

I had ms really early and i was hungry all day. This started at 5-6 weeks of pregnancy. I couldn't stop eating and that was something that i didn't have with the boys.

I'll hope you have your twins! When will you have a us again?

I'm hungry constantly too - I had it in my head that it was from all the months in LE lol!! But I've gained 15 lbs in just a few weeks!
