I thought about my parents different conceptions and how each time was different...

Feast: Boy #1 (brother), lived in S.Dakota times were good and they lived on a farm and had lots of beef.

Famine: Girl (Me) they moved to Washington state, the economy was in the dumps, dad was out of a job, and they were eating A LOT of smelt (bait fish) to get by. (My mother still can not stand for anyone to talk about smelt)

Feast : Boy#2 (brother) made a move to Georgia where Dad had a great job with money and "food a plenty" again. They also bought a whole cow every year (and still do). Mom wanted him to be a girl so bad...she did have some GD, but she was going to name him Crystal Star....so I think it worked out for the better (and looking back Mom thinks it sounds like a stripper name).

So, looking at my parents I see how feast and famine worked out just as it should.

Thank you for posting. LOL at the stripper name! It does kind of sound like "And on Pole Number One...!"
