hi girls,
i'm pretty newcomer here. As recommended by some forum members, I would like to start a discussion thread regarding Extreme Gender Swaying using the Swim Up technique for those TTC a BOY.
Now I know that some on here, believe this technique isn't any better than others or actually works, but after having a very difficult time going through IVF, PGD and Natural Swaying method, I don't want to get into a big discussion about the sucess rates, so please please leave that out and COME AND JOIN ME.
I could really do with all the advice and help.
Hope you'll join and contribute for success with :DS:

Hey hon...I just wanted to wish you the best of luck!! EGS MSU just isn't for me, way too much messing around and no evidence to support that it has any effect....but I hope you are a OHW and get that little blue bean!!

Thanks for your support Princess of Pink. Even if you don't want to try out EGS, please do post any info you know about it if you can.
Thank You!

Living in the USA makes buying all the supplies easier and a hell of a lot cheaper!! I am in Australia and the brief period I considered giving it a go...I discovered it was going to cost me a small fortune to buy everything needed, on top of all the supps and stuff because without diet/supps no matter how many 'boys' you stick up there...if you have a hostile environment good chances that one and only girl that get in will win the race. Are you in the USA??

Aqua also did MSU for one of her tries for her little boy she's pg with now (although she did a natural try within a day or two, so who knows which one was the "winner") so hopefully she can pop on and give you some advice. Good luck!

I don't know what to say...I did msu with the diet ect ect for a boy and got a girl. But almost everyone else got what they wanted so I really have no clue why not me? I did it good for sure. But I also had 4 msu m/c so who knows if it was all girls or boys? I did this ttc for almost 2 years all together I don't want to do it again.
And I read it here that some studies show even after a swim up the sort is 50/50? So I don't know why the success rate is like 80% after a 50/50 swim up??
Anyway sure you can try it it did worked for most of us and you don't need much to it. A incubator , microscope, test tubes, pipette , syringe, IC, EW , pretty much that's it.
I have all this lol because I thought I will do it again , but no. Just dtd 2 times or TBM 2 times we'll see which one.
Oh I think Aqua did TBM and not MSU.
Hope you don't need to practice a lot , lot's of us had a hard time making the damn EW float.Anyway GL to you!

thanks very much girls. FYI, I live in uk.
@ flava - I've already got a cheapy microscope. I'm having difficulty getting hold of the rest of the stuff, so if you or anyone can give me an exact list of items needs (make/model etc...) then i'll get the stuff together.
thanks!

Hi there - I posted on your thread in Introductions but in case you didn't see it, there was some discussion about SU on this thread a while back:

I'm sorry I don't know anything about it personally so can't help. Good luck :D

Hey this is TeeSharee from IG I wanna say I am going to try everything I can to get a boy that way if I end up with a girl anyway I will have no regrets knowing that I tried everything possibly available to me...I have tons of info, but so do you its all in the volume 1 and 2 of the Ebook on IG, Also I think the reason that the sort may have been 50/50 when inserted the Ph and environment/diet/ions/hormones all favor boy so most of the women on IG got their Boys, all I know is I gotta try at least!

I think there is no msu group here because the ppl did not come over from IG and even on IG there is not many left who do it.
I always wonder what happened to Anna from UK she was swaying pink ? I went back on IG to look for her but she is gone.(don't remember her user name)
Anyway I ordered new stuff in April because I thought I do a swim up again but we talked with DH and decided not to do it anymore.
So here is where I got my incubator from amazon. There are different types I have the little yellow one .Most of us did .
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=incubator&x=0&y=0
I always used this test tubes . You can cut it shorter to fit in the incubator, I did it all the time.
http://www.hometrainingtools.com/test-tubes-plastic-16x120-mm-6-pack/p/CE-TTUBCAP/
Pipet is from the same place
http://www.hometrainingtools.com/pipet-disposable-5-ml-10-pk/p/CE-PIPET/
syringe I always used something like this , but you can see there is a lot different ones to pick from.
http://www.amazon.com/3cc-Syringe-Only-Slip-tip/dp/B0002ZS5QY/ref=pd_bxgy_k_img_b
microscope I got it from toysrus it's a edu science mic. in a blue plastic case , but they don't sell it anymore.
Almost the same like this. (or maybe the same)
http://www.amazon.com/Edu-Science-36985-MICROSCOPE-PCS-EDU/dp/B0000D8DTR
You don't really need anything else as far as I can remember. I did lot's and lot's of swim ups but it was over 2 years ago.
Just make sure you practice because the EW don't always want to swim on top. You can give juice to DH the day you try it so the ew float better. (sweet helps with that don't remember how)
Just don't use any mesh or things like that in between because sperm don't really swim thru it , they just hang around the mesh. Also you suppose to see where is the EW and where is the sample after the swim up it's done.
Just saying this because I saw some pics on IG before and after and the after pic look like a big mix to me. But they say over there it's a good result and so .:suprise:
Don't remember anything else now . HTH and good luck to all who try it!

, but after having a very difficult time going through IVF, PGD and Natural Swaying method, :DS:
do you mind my asking what happened with ivf and PGD? no pgcy or wrong gender???

August 5th, 2011, 01:24 PM
@ flava - thanks so much for the links. I'm sure you also need ph strips and a ph tester too. Also i live in uk and have found it difficult to get that incubator here.
@ gizmo - the ivf/pgd resulted in no pregnancy and cost me thousands of £££ :(

Oh yeah ph strips did nto really worked for me so I ordered a digital tester.
I have this I guess you can get it everywhere.

so ivf/pgd is NOT 100% then.

yes its definately not 100%, although if you do become pregnant, then the chosen gender is guaranteed.

I considered doing the msu but dont think I'll be able to convince DH to go along for the ride. I might do Tbm since it seems easier and would require less practise. figure that its better than doing nothing. Hope it works as well. I wonder what the success rates are. ttc a boy in oct/nov, guess I have to come up with a plan soon. Nice thread ttcboy!

EGS - Extreme Gender Swaying
MSU - Modified Swim Up
TBM - Turkey baster method.
I'm doing MSU when I start TTC again at some point. Not sure when that will be though.

Here is the sticky on how to do TBM. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?2598-how-to-do-TBM-and-why-you-probably-shouldn-t-do-it-for-gender-swaying
I don't have a sticky for MSU because a) I didn't do MSU and I am no expert on it and b) I am pretty skeptical as to whether it works (but this is not the thread to discuss why that is.) There are some gals on this site who DID do SU/MSU and hopefully they will share their experiences!!!

Hey guys, I got it all downloaded from IG ( equipment and instructions for EGS/MSU)
I've never tried it though, seems too complicated for me lol+ I can't get all the equipment.
TBM is less trouble I guess and can be quite effective.

I'm going to do a write up about the Sperm Swim up/Modified Swim Up Techniques used in the IVF industry and I will explain how they do it and we can simplify the process for you. I need a little time to put it together with the correcsponding studies to explain what actually worked. The problem is, there is literally ONE study to say that Modified Swim Up works and the rest refute that claim. BUT, if you want to try it, I say go for it and leave no stone unturned!
I'll be back!
