I had a UTI around the time that I ovulated and was put on Macrobid. I'm still waiting to see if I'm pregnant (will know in 4 days) but I have yet another UTI (or the same one not completely healed). I am going on another round of antibiotics.
I am swaying pink; so If I am in fact not pregnant would YOU skip a cycle in worry that the abx will sway blue? Let me know what you all think:)

I'd go for it. I think it was the old thinking that antibiotics swayed blue and probiotics swayed pink which is not correct. I don't see how antibiotics could sway blue. They kill off all the good as well as the bad bacteria in your body. They must make it harder for you to extract the nutrients from your food. Well that's my thinking.

I think probiotics sway blue? So I would suspect antibiotics sway pink, but I'm curious to see what AS thinks. I think the fact that you need antibiotics would sway pinkish in itself?

I have never seen one iota of evidence that indicates antibiotics sway blue. I woudl take them and TTC and I would NEVER skip a month for that. It's always something.

Illness does seem to sway pink, I wouldn't rely on that alone tho. :)

HB do you think there is a reason why these keep coming back?

So true, Atomic. There seems like there could always be SOMETHING that won't work out 100% for the month. I have to stop trying to think that I can achieve the perfect sway.
Not sure why I have had this recurring UTI. I'm not prone to them and there's nothing I've changed re: lotions or body wash. Maybe this means that my nutrition has drastically decreased my bodys immunity isn't working at its best. That's only a guess... Yay for low nutrition and swaying pink ;)

I think it may have something to do with changing your condition.

I got a yeast infection after being strict on the diet for three months (5 months total). I NEVER get them- even when on antibiotics ( with the exception of any -cycline antibiotics)!

FX for you!

I would be sure you're drinking a decent level of liquid during the day. Don't go overboard, but sometimes when we cut back our food intake we also drink less and that can contribute to them coming back.

Yeah I would not include that into a sway, can't really plan it. Although we could all hug a snotty kid and hope for the best ;)

I totally think this plays a part in my case. I'm a Pediatrics Nurse and do 12-14 hour shifts and my patients lately have been very high need and I haven't been getting many breaks = not drinking or eating much. I've increased fluid intake since I have a few days off :)
