Luckily both my boys are pretty without stealing it from me haha. I was looking forward to having the beautiful glowing skin again. Looks like this bean has other plans for me. I can't wait to feel somewhat normal again!

I had horrible skin with all of my pregnancies until I hit about 20-22 weeks and then it clears up and looks great!
I can't wait to hear more gender results! I'm getting excited for everyone!

I had bad skin with all the pregnancies, look like teenager again. Still veeeeeery tired and hungry. That is exactly how i felt with my second DD. The pregnancies are so identical i was sure it is another one before the blood test. Even asked the nurse could the test be wrong, she said not with this one. She even opened her data and showed it to me, saying, look it says "male fetus" and your name next to it:)

Happy 16 weeks for me! I just celebrated by cleaning up a bathroom filled with vomit. DS2 puked everywhere, except on me. I still don't know how I didn't get any on me! I hope I don't get whatever this is [emoji16]! I thought something was up yesterday when he wasn't interested in eating anything- even his favorite foods. We leave for a vacation on Monday too. Ugh!

Oh dear heavens, XX...I am so sorry! That's never fun.
Seabee- I opted out of the blood test for the same exact reasons! I'm finding out in 10 days!!! Can't wait!
It's so funny how we all have different gender symptoms. With all of my boys I had oily, blemished skin. I looked awful! With my girls I had much better than normal skin and my eyelashes grew like crazy!

Thanks! Me too! He seems to be on the mend now. I just hope I can avoid it. It seems whenever I'm pregnant I always catch the puking stuff but miss everything else. I've only gained a mere 8lbs so far, and I don't have much to lose if I do get it!
How is everyone else doing/feeling? Who is next to find out gender besides fivebabies in 9 days?

Hello!
This is my first post in this thread, I hope you don't mind if I jump in! I am due mid January 2016 and swayed blue.
I am having the harmony test on Tuesday, so should hear the results + gender in about 2 weeks from then :)
I haven't had any symptoms really except for dizziness from the low blood pressure, and being a bit tired. I was extremely tired and hungry for about two weeks to the point of frustration, but that seems to have passed. I have been craving everything :)
Very exciting to read your results - congrats to you all!

I hope to find out in early July. I am tired and not sick at all...I swayed pink but expecting to hear boy :p Then again I was sick with ds1 and ds2 by this point and not tired.

Welcome Blue Herald! Congratulations! Hope you hear blue.
Xx - hope you don't get sick.
As far as symptoms I've always been told that girls rob your beauty. However in this pregnancy I've been told on a few occasions from people with Indian background that Im glowing and in their culture that means you're having a girl (which according to Genea I am ). I still can't wait to have that confirmed by a scan which I'm having in 3 weeks. Fx the blood test was right.
Can't wait to hear what you're having 5 babies and everybody else. It's so exciting!

I am so sorry about that fivebabies. It would be SO hard. WIth DS3, I had a couple medical ultrasounds (or at least one) with him that clearly showed boy...and of course I was hoping girl. I went for an entertainment ultrasound and the tech said girl! Then a couple minutes later she said no it's a boy. I didn't believe her when she said girl because of previous ultrasound(s)....but it still bothered me since if that was the first time I heard gender and I would have had those 2 minutes of thinking I was getting a daughter.... So I COULD NOT imagine, being told I was getting my desired gender, and then believing that for weeks or months. I am so sorry that that happened to you. Is it worth going team green? I am considering that this time, just because for my last two pregnancies I had giant anxiety about gender and the "what-if" the tech got it wrong.

I am soooo sorry. That's so frustrating. I couldn't handle a surprise. I have to plan! This baby has zero newborn sized clothes so I need to get some and I hate gender neutral stuff. I just want to know for sure. I thought I didn't really truly care about the gender but apparently I do.

Oh fivebabies I understand second guessing. When I got the phone call the nurse asked me if I wanted to know, and I almost chickened out and said no. It wasn't because I don't trust the results, though- but I can definitey understand your uncertainty. Do you go on Saturday?

Five-I hope everything goes well.
Anyone starting to feel better? I have more energy and cooked dinner for the 1st time in a month, but my breast still hurt and afternoon nausea.
Also had our NT scan yesterday. No doubt about it, he's a boy! I feel like a fool believing that swaying would actually work for me. The RE came into the exam room to see if we had any questions, etc and DH says "see you in a year to get our girl". I would happily have more kids except society makes it hard to. God forbid, you have more Then two kids, let alone five. And I know this sounds terrible, but, as soon as DH said that, I thought, get this baby out of me so I can do HT now! I know that's awful and this baby was totally meant to be, it's just hard to hear that DH is 100% willing to do HT and there's nothing I can do to make that happen now. Sorry so long and again I hope everyone is feeling ok.

I found out at 14 weeks with DS2 and it was a definite boy. Went to my 20 week scan and the guy said.. well she was wrong it's a girl. About 5 minutes into it he said "never mind the cord was just in the way, it's a boy". That feeling for those few minutes alone was enough for heartache. I can't imagine thinking girl for weeks. Makes me nervous to find out early again as well. I need to start shopping myself, we have no more baby stuff except a crib. I hope they give you the right gender this time fivebabies! You have a good reason to be nervous.

I can't imagine being told one gender then finding out something different later on. This is the pregnancy that I have found out before 20 weeks. Nobody has given me any indication before the 20 week scan.
Are you sure it's definitely accurate Smartson? I know it's not an easy time for you but please try to appreciate this time with this baby. I admire families with more than 2 kids. Such a gift to the kids and the parents. I'm one of 4 and feel amazingly blessed. It's hard work though obviously.

Sun-between the ultrasound and Verifi, it has to be accurate. She showed me his "tripod" as she called it. Didn't think testicles were visible at 13w5d. I did add the nub pics to my thread on the ultrasound board if you would take a look. I keep looking at them to help me bond with him. I hate this time in pregnancy, when you're starting to feel better (which is a good thing!) but no movement yet. The only thing I know about him, is his gender. I don't know his kicks, schedule, smiling face, etc. think that's why I'm struggling so hard right now. I know, without a doubt, that I will love and adore him when I hold him..it's just getting to that part that's hard.

I have had sore boobs lately too. Not usual for me but it has happened before.
I'm sick of being sick. ....still. Starting to notice that I'm very slowly on the upswing but am still miserable. I tried toying with the idea of not finding out the gender until the delivery but several of my kids threatened to runaway and never speak to me again. Guess that won't happen. Lol. But now I won't know until about 22 weeks with how my appts fall. Guess I need to learn how to be patient!

I am so so sorry for you smarston. It is so unfair.. Wish you strengt to deal with the idea of having another boy. I know what you mean; the part where you just know its a boy is so hard because you dont know him yet. Everything will get better once you see his beautifull face.
The sickness really kicked in here, especially afternoon and evening and lasts till I go to bed. I dont remember feeling so sick with the boys but maybe I just blocked that. And I am really fat! My 4 yr old asked me today if there was a baby in my belly because it was so big! Oops, if he thinks that, probably EVERYONE thinks the same :worry:

I'm feeling great, tired midday though. I've only gained 10-12lbs (0.8 stones or 5.4 kg) depending on the time of day I weigh myself. With my other boys I was 15lbs by this point! No cravings and don't ever feel super hungry either. Strange, huh?

What I don't understand is that DH doesn't want to try again. He wants a DD badly but wants to stop at three kids. I'm thinking of swaying stealthily and trying to get pregnant again when this baby is 6mo. DH would freak out at first but would happily accept an "oops" baby. The thing is I'll only have from June to September, because the earliest he would get a vasectomy would be next October. Plus, I will still be nursing and I think my chances will be slim of getting pregnant anyway. But I'll try anyway to give him his DD! I love having and raising kids! I'll be swaying all on my own this time...if it's meant to be it will be...

I will give it a go, but I'm not very hopeful that I'll be able to get pregnant while nursing. I couldn't when trying for this baby, but I think it had to do with a supplement I was taking (not for swaying purposes) messing things up for me. It will really have to be meant to be, take divine intervention, stars lining up, etc! I won't be sad though, if it doesn't work out, because I'll have this little guy to snuggle with still and at least I'll know that I tried everything I could with a much better sway. Not that I that I think my sway was bad this time, but the supplement I was on wrecked havoc on my fertility and caused me to have to add things to boost it. That I believe in turn played a role on the gender of this little guy. My diet and exercise was top notch!

There is no chance I would go HT, unfortunately. This is going to have to be a top secret sway, because DH pretty much has a panic attack about the idea of #4. The strange thing is HE mentioned #4! I would never plan anything like this if I didn't know in my heart of hearts that this is what he wants. I just only have a small window of time from next June to September. Although unbeknownst to DH, I won't be on any form of BC so it could technically happen before then. I just don't think I'll be able to get pregnant nursing as much as I will be. This is just to make me feel that I truly have done all I could for DH. If it is meant to be, then it will be. If not then this little guy will thankfully still be super snugly [emoji4]!

Ooh, what was your diet like then? I'm always curious how nursing moms conceived a girl, since my conditions will be similar.
Even now, I'm doing the Atomic fertility diet. It is a version of the LE diet that includes more protein. I just don't feel hungry or have any cravings, and I'm almost 20 weeks! Which is strange since with my other two boys I had a ravenous appetite that I had to keep in check!

Hi everyone! Sorry I've not dropped by for a while, but I have been either busy with guests or on vacation- my SIL, her two boys, and my mom came two weeks ago to stay with my kiddos while I went on a cruise to Alaska with DH. I revealed to them that I was pregnant, and that it's a girl, and they are so happy. Alaska was amazing. I missed my kids though. I also haven't been as sick, and it's really only bad when the heartburn/reflux gets out of control, or if I'm not cautious about what I eat and in what order. I feel like my digestion is so slow right now, I have to eat heavy things last. It was complicated while on a cruise haha, when everything was about food!
I'm so glad to read your good news, Blue-Blue-Pink! And Seabee, I hope that you have a better answer at your full scan. Nub shots are always so questionable. XX- sneaky swaying *and* sneaky TTC! Eek that's a lot to keep secret! Maybe it will just happen for you though, if it's meant to be. Lord knows I never expected this pregnancy to happen so quickly!
I know I'm missing people but I hope everyone is well and I plan to be back more in the next few days. Hugs!

XX, my diet was always girl friendly, i only changed it for a boy sway. When I was nursing it was mostly fish and vegetables, a lot of fruits, couple cups of coffee for breakfast and fat free milk, love sushi so ate it a lot as well, hated red meat, still do. Also, my cycle started 8 weeks after delivery, was regular, even though i was nursing all the time, so i knew i can get pregnant and she was planned(well, i was 25 back then, maybe my age played a role that everything went back to normal right away). We dtd every day starting cd1 for at least two weeks. Hope this helps:)

Thanks a bunch! I am allergic to salmon and tuna, but I can eat any red meat trout though. With DS2 my cycles returned 6 weeks postpartum at 33, but I didn't get pregnant until after I weaned him. We didn't try to TTC until he was 13 mo though. I really do believe that supplement I was on messed things up for me. We will see. It may not happen for various reasons, but I will try if there is an opportunity!
We liked BDing every four days and DH wants to continue that when I feel like having sex after this sweet baby is born. Secretly swaying and TTCing should be easy [emoji6]!

I'm in a high risk clinic (for now) and they don't give ultrasound pics at all. I wasn't even given the option (I'm in Canada). My anatomy scan needs to be booked but I may do a 3d private scan sooner than 18-20 weeks.
Baby was cute! He/she was pushing off and moving about.

I just had my next scan, and I am 20 weeks 1 day! It's hard to believe that I'm half way there to snuggling with my little man [emoji4]! He is so sweet! He was trying to get comfortable to sleep during the scan. He kept covering his face with his arms or using them as a pillow [emoji4]! We couldn't get a shot of his spine with his back facing us, but I'm not worrying about any spinal issues. I took more than the recommended amount of folate and I took choline to prevent additional spinal issues.
I can't wait to meet him! I think he's going to look the most like my DH than all of the boys so far. His profile and face look just like DH's baby pics. It was so sweet to get a glimpse of his personality! I'm so in love [emoji4]!

I have my anatomy scan on August 10- part of me is sad it's so far away, but Im super busy between now and then and at least I have that 99.4% chance of it still being a girl to keep me calm lol. I've started feeling small taps and slides which is so exciting! After seeing people struggle to conceive at all or who have children with disabilities I feel so grateful to even be having a baby at all. People who think less of the pregnancy because it's "another" boy or girl are very narrow minded. Whilst I wanted a girl before I found out the gender I always thought I'm lucky to be pregnant, a healthy baby is a bonus and gender really is not really relevant compared to those 2 things.
I think if you can help it is not to tell people you tried for a girl, or had a preference at all. If they think you're happy with the outcome that might shut them up. When I was younger ( and so silly ) I used to comment on gender. It didn't mean much to me at the time, I was genuinely curious if people wanted a girl or boy. Now I cringe when people say similar things to me.
No idea why your MIL is posting about one gender only. I thought as a grandmother there would not be a preference... Weird.. Very weird

I was told by my OB that between 20-29 weeks that it is common to get frequent uterine contractions since the uterus is going through its final growth spurt and to prepare for childbirth.

That's plenty.. Especially with 2 children. I never used to exercise with my kids (although they were older and heavier). I used to wake up really early and get the workout out of the way for the day. It's the only way I found I stuck to the routine.

I hear ya! I get so stir crazy nursing such a little one so I like to get out of the house with them. Plus, DS2 likes to go to parks and play- win win! Then if I want to do PiYo when DS2 naps, I can.
I need my sleep so getting up early won't happen since I'll probably still have a middle of the night nursing session or two [emoji6].

I need to start exercising walking again when the weather warms up. I have put on so much weight [emoji15][emoji16]

Really? Oh, yeah I forgot you were in Australia [emoji6]. I'm sorry about the weight gain. I'm worrying I've gained too little- only 12-14 lbs so far at 21 weeks! I was this weight around 12-16 weeks with my other two boys! Luckily I only gain 25lbs, but I think I'll be lucky to get to 20lbs with this guy!
I do still workout but only cardio (walking fast with a heavy double stroller) since the cramping/Braxton Hicks started. Once they stop, I'll go back to my T25 and Gamma workouts. I'm a SAHM, so I can workout when DS2 naps. If I were teaching like I was when pregnant with DS2, I wouldn't be able to workout.
You'll be able to get it off afterward! Just think about you're precious baby girl right now and all the cute stuff she can wear before she gets too big [emoji4]!!

Has anyone else been having awful, violent, scary dreams?! I swear mine keep getting worse. Last night I dreamt that I got an abortion (which btw, I'm VERY much against). I remember feeling awful after it happened, and later in the dream the baby came out and wasn't alive. He was the size a baby would be at birth. Now I'm completely paranoid something bad is going to happen. Ugh I'm so over these pregnancy dreams. I NEVER dreamt like this with my two boys!

I've had very vivid dreams about the baby and my DH. Basically someone dies and it is about dealing with the aftermath. I've worked out what these dreams mean for me and since then they have stopped. I think for me they were symbolic of something I am wanting but struggling with because it will effect my whole family. Yet if it doesn't happen, I will feel a strong sense of loss.
Basically these dreams were symbolic of me wanting a fourth child because I still feel like there is someone I haven't met yet, but at the same time I worry about how another child will affect our family.

That is the worst Sunbuny! I too feel huge despite the fact I have gained a notmal amount of weight. I don't know if this is the same for you, but I'm only 5ft 4in so my belly gets bigger to make room for the baby! If I were taller like some of my girlfriends, my belly wouldn't get so big because my torso and pelvis would be bigger.
Don't listen to them! I'm sure you look great, although if you're like me you naturally think you look bigger than you really are! I just focus on having a sweet baby to snuggle with and that makes me feel better [emoji4]!

I had to apply lotion after showering and take warm not hot showers and that made a difference for me. I have to put a body oil and body cream in my belly otherwise it itches like mad!
There is a liver condition, can't remember what it is called, that causes itching all over the body to happen. If it doesn't seem like the apply lotions and taking warm not hot showers are helping, I would mention it to your doctor. Ugh, I wish I could remember the condition! Sorry!!

Yes you're right about the name. I had pupps with ds1 and this isn't it. My palms and feet are not itchy as a symptom of the liver issue either. But anything could still develop. I will have to ask for bloodwork if there is a reason to be concerned. Great!

Ugh, my asthma has flared up really bad due to the weed and mold spore count where I live! Harvest hasn't even begun yet, which is another big flare up for me due to mold and air quality. I hope I can get relief soon! I keep coughing up mucus and having sinus pressure. Until harvest is over I'm using my nasal rinse, steroid inhaler, Zyrtec, and my nasal spray! I may have to add singulair soon so I don't have to keep relying on my steroid inhaler. At least these meds are safe in pregnancy and my steroid inhaler and spray don't even get into my blood ******!!

XX, I hope you're feeling better! I'm also having a hard time breathing right now. I've discovered that my asthma is highly allergy-triggered, so I take benedryl and it helps me a lot. I haven't had a full attack in years, though, and refuse to be on a daily steroid which makes my doctor frustrated. Unfortunately pregnancy can make asthma better or worse, and changes even between babies :/
Pebbles- I'm excited you got such promising news! I hope the itching has resolved and doesn't lead to something else.
I have my anatomy scan on Monday, when I'll be 20+1. I'm excited to see the baby but still nervous about her health. And there's still that slight worry that the blood test wasn't correct. So I haven't really committed to it being a girl, and although I'm looking at nursery ideas, I haven't jumped on any yet. I'm hoping that the mental block will disappear after visual confirmation of a healthy baby girl. On a positive note- I can feel the baby quite often now :)

Thanks ladies! I'm doing better. I'm still not back to 100%, but I'm getting there. I too, Temerity take my allergy medicine regularly, Zyrtec and my nasal spray, but it didn't stop my asthma from flaring up. The steroid I'm on, Budesonide, doesn't get into my blood ****** via inhaler or nose spray. It is the only one recommended in pregnancy and nursing because it doesn't get to the baby.
I'm probably going to have to go onto Singulair until I get past harvest. Right now, weeds and mold are high in the town I live in and harvest is just a few weeks away. I'm always bad this time of the year but usually weeds, mold, and harvest aren't all going at the same time :/.

Five- congrats on your healthy baby boy! He was surely meant to be a part of your family.
XX I hope the meds are working... I'm still laid low with this cold that's aggravating my asthma, but I'm hoping to be over it soon!
I had a minor disappointment today- my anatomy scan was rescheduled to Thursday due to a staff emergency. My oldest was so excited to see his sister today, but luckily we were able to scramble and set everything up so that he and DH can still be there for the scan. I'm finding that the catch-22 of finding out the sex early is that it leaves nothing to distract you from worrying over physical health issues at the anatomy scan. I'm just praying that all is growing well for my little babe.

He only wants to keep doing BD every 4 days. I have to do the diet stealthily and that also means no opks or temping. Good news is he won't notice the diet changes since I'm known to diet and eat less when trying to lose the baby weight! Plus I still kind of eat the LE way while pregnant with only two small snacks if needed.
NTNP- not trying, not preventing

Thank goodness the morning sickness is gone! Now the waiting begins....waiting for AF to start, waiting to ovulate, waiting to test, waiting to see the baby/heartbeat, waiting for the sickness to be over, and waiting to give birth.....waiting and more waiting haha!!!
At least patience is my virtue! I just noticed all the waiting we've had to do!!!

Yes! At least the "morning" sickness is gone! I've done all the shopping I need to for this baby. One good thing is that I have 2 ultrasounds scheduled both in the next 4 weeks. Get extra since I'm of "advanced maternal age"

I've only had one "proper " scan at 20 weeks although I've had one every time visited my Dr as he has an ultrasound machine in his office. Hopefully I'll get one at 32 weeks too. I can't wait to see my baby again. The scans at the Dr's is the old-fashioned fuzzy type.

Got to see my sweet baby again today! It amazes me every single time. I always get all teary eyed even though this is my 6th baby. I just love it! All looked good!
So interestingly enough he is still head down. My last 2 were breech and had to be delivered via c-section. I'm so tempted to try a vbac if he stays head down!! I doubt he will but the last 2 were breech well before this time. DH is scared to death that I'll rupture and doesn't want me to try. I haven't asked my Dr yet but what would you guy do??

five, just popping in here :) I'm due no11 in Feb, and the last one was c/s, I really want a vbac but having the same worries :) I am prett sure I will be insisting on having a try, I believe we would be closely monitored??

Yes for sure! But it still makes me nervous. I wonder if one delivery method or the other would prevent me from having anymore babies...?

Exactly:) In my head, if I opt for a c/s then that is it, I have handed myself and future over to the dictatorship of the medical profession, but if I insist and are fine then it is back in my hands. I looked up a study that found the percentages for rupture in grand multipa mothers to be as safe as lower numbers, if not lower, so I think I will just stand my ground a little and insist on trying, its just the first appointment I'm dreading, on the positive side it is the same consultant who performed the c/s who I will be seeing so hopefully who should at least be happy with his handy work and not frown at somebody elses work :)

Anybody else starting to get uncomfortable?
Yep. 28 weeks today and found out that instead of measuring right on target for dates, my belly is measuring 2.5 weeks ahead! No wonder why I'm uncomfortable- he's grown a ton in 4 weeks [emoji4][emoji16]!
How is everyone doing?

I've had a pretty rough week. Sunday night I only got 2 hours sleep which resulted in a sleep deprivation induced seizure. I didn't even feel it coming on. When I woke up I didn't even remember that I was pregnant [emoji17]
Thankfully my baby is well.
After 2 days in hospital I've been told not to return to work for a while and not to drive for 6 months.
I feel so lost [emoji21] I'm trying not to get depressed but it feels pretty hard not to get bogged down in the negatives. I'm also not sure if I should give breastfeeding another go now. I feel like I've lost alot of the joy I carried before.. I'm hoping as time passes I feel better. My baby deserves better than this.

Oh no Sunbuny! (((Huge hugs)))! Hang in there honey and just try to relax and take care of yourself.
Do you have a seizure disorder or is this new for you? The reason why I'm asking is I had a flurry of seizures 6 months before conceiving DS1. I had to be on meds, Keppra, and was able to get off of them and be cleared to TTC the month we conceived DS1.
I know you feel a wide range of emotions right now. Know you are a fantastic mother- things happen. You absolutely can breastfeed your little one if you want and feel that it won't cause too much stress for you. No matter what you chose- you will make the choice that is right for you and your baby.
Oh honey, I am sending lots of strength and love your way [emoji8]!!

Hi XX
Yes, I have epilepsy and I'm on keppra. They put me on keppra 1 day post partum with DS2 after I had a seizure whilst holding him. Luckily my DH was able to get him from my arms. It was working so well and I had so much hope but on think due to the fluctuating hormone levels weight gain the amount of meds was not enough anymore. They increased it again.
So far with each baby the hospitals have given my babies bottles whilst I've been unconscious. My DH doesn't even want me to try breastfeeding this time. I'm confused.
Wow, so you had seizures and they went away? What had caused them?

I'm so sorry Sunbuny! My heart breaks for you! I sure hope that the increase in dose will help. Are you on a higher dose of Folic acid? Most ladies with a seizure disorder need to be on 1000-4000mcg of Folic acid while pregnant/nursing. Also, have you tried Choline/Inositol? It is a supplement that helps regulate the neurotransmitters in your brain to be more stable in response to hormone fluctuations while pregnant and nursing. The dose is 500mg twice daily. I liked the Kal brand of Choline/Inositol because it is time released. These are also safe to take while on Keppra.
I experienced 10 seizures over 7 days and we could never find out why. I had stopped BCP that I had been on for 13 years. The Neurologist seemed to think that I was overly sensitive to the fluctuating hormones. Luckily, I have been seizure free but will NOT go on any form of BC ever again!!
Hugs sweetie! I hope you feel better soon. Please don't beat yourself up- you are a great mother!!

I've always taken a high dose of folic acid when TTC and when pregnant but have never heard of Choline or Inositol. I'll look into them. Thank you so much. It is such a relief to speak with somebody who understands

Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I stopped by, but I still think of you all!
Sunbuny, that is so scary, I'm sorry that you have this uncertainty to deal with. Why does your DH not even want you to try breastfeeding?
I hope everyone else is doing ok. How is the nursery, if you're doing one, coming along?

Hi Temerity, because sleep deprivation brings on seizures and he knows if the baby is bottle fed he can help out. After the birth of my first 2 I had seizures whilst breastfeeding at night or just as I was finishing. I probably will give it another go though.
I've stopped working now so starting to work on a nursery. Nothing major but still exciting [emoji4]
How is everybody else going? Not that long for us now XX!
