I actually feel normal... No nausea or much cramping ( which I had with past 2 pregnancies by this stage ). I think I mostly feel happy to introduce breakfast again and ease back on the exercise. I want to practise moderation again. How about you? Do you have Any symptoms?

I knew I was pregnant because I kept forgetting everything! I never do that! I burnt the lid to my marinade making dinner, put dirty dishes in the fridge, etc! I also had been more thirsty than usual.

Now I have intermittent nausea (not all the time), the sides of my boobs are sore, and have a heaviness/ muscle stretching feeling in my uterus at times!

Hehe.. I've been super emotional too. Amazing highs and bad lows. I think that is my one main symptom. I'm always tired by the end of the day. I think it's hard for us to distinguish some symptoms when you already have other children. Especially if they are younger.

Betas came back at 22,516! I'm being scheduled for a US next week for dating and to check to see how many!

My LMP was 2/26 and very normal- heavy bleeding/clots normal length. Hell my period on 2/6 was much the same. The nurse said above 2,000 was needed. Twins usually around 5,000 or more at this gestation.

Holy f--k!

I took one yesterday and the Wondfo was as dark as the control line and the CB digital said 3+ weeks like it should have. The nurse said this could be more than one!

This is a repost from the other due date thread, but I wanted to update and thank you all too!

Wednesday night I began to have Braxton hicks contractions, and I just thought I was experiencing growing pains like I did with DS2, around 8:00pm. I noticed a silver dollar sized red spot on my panty liner when I went to the bathroom at 8:30pm. It continued throughout the night but never increased in amount nor did I have any AF like cramps. It was gone by late morning on Thursday. I called my OB and they ordered a repeat beta HCG for today. Thursday night I noticed bright red again, only when I wiped. Never more than that and no cramping at all. By this morning it had turned to brown and only when I check, nothing on my liner and nothing when I wipe. Again, no cramping, no heavy bleeding, and no clots. My bbt went back up this morning to 99.59 after a solid night's sleep, yay (I'm one of the weird ones whose temp is lower when I get sleep)! My beta HCG taken today, 2 days later is: 32,682!

I didn't want to post anything until I had more information to go on. I'm sorry to worry all of you, but I needed your prayers and support! Thank you! I must be carrying a girl with all this unnecessary drama! DH better lookout!

Sunbuny- my nausea comes and goes, but when it is here, it lasts all day and nothing helps! My boobs feel heavy or I notice them more. I didn't really expect my boobs to ache a lot, because DS2 only weaned the cycle before this one. I am more thirsty than usual, and I am very tired! I nap when DS2 naps in the afternoon, and I am still ready for bed by 8:00pm!

Pretty mild symptoms! With both boys, my boobs hurt like hell, and I was sick but hungry all the time! We will see though!

I go for an US on Wednesday to find out my due date and to see how many babies there are. If, big IF, I'm farther along than 5weeks 3 days or 5 weeks 5 days then my symptoms are VERY mild for sure!

FX it stays this way!!!

Hello all, I got my BFP on Thursday! I have worked out my due date to be around 10th Dec, but as I have had the mirena with no AF and not had AF since having it removed 7-8weeks ago that could change!
Congratulations to you all!
Is any "feeling" a certain gender? I didn't get long to sway and am feeling it's a little guy, not sure if I'm just allowing myself to get excited about a little man growing in my belly then if it's a girl it will be a pleasant surprise!

April 5th, 2015, 04:35 PM
Welcome Dove! My DH is convinced it's a girl, because I swayed hard for a girl for a while before we conceived. I think it's a boy! We will see!

I had unexplained infertility after TTCing for 5 months and found out I had day 3 FSH of 45 and pretty much no AMH at all. My follicle count was excellent and so was my lining. The RE basically turned me away and told me to keep trying. After three cycles and two months of acupuncture, we got our long awaited BFP! So ttcing for 9 cycles and on some version of the LE diet for 12 months! We will see!

I'm just so over the moon excited to finally be pregnant, I could care less about gender!

Big congratulations to you XX for the BFP, this baby will be even more special after all you have been through!

I feel nervous, about this pregnancy, not sure why! I haven't been to the doctors yet so maybe when I go that will ease my nerves. A lot of people around me have been have miscarriages and I think it just makes it seem a lot more real. I haven't had any bad signs though, slight cramping and slightly tender and larger boobs, oh and weeing is more frequent!

Wow XX, you're certainly getting alot of symptoms for your stage of pregnancy... Maybe the high count is the reason. I can't wait till your ultrasound.

I had some cramping last night and drank a 700mls of water in one go in the middle of the night.. Otherwise I feel fine and normal. Weird. I can't wait to get my blood levels back.

I'm enjoying the Easter long weekend. Lots of good healthy food that I didn't realize I missed so much. Olive oil, nuts, seeds, smoothies.. I avoided all those like the plague whilst swaying..

It is hard not to hope, my OH keeps asking if i think baby is a girl and I say no because I don't want him to get his heart set on a girl and feel disappointed, he is more eager for a girl than I am!
I keep sneaking a peak at girls clothes though and feel that little bit of longing!

I hear you... Went shopping for Easter Eggs last week but because my niece is so young we bought her clothes instead.. I found it hard not to get too excited.. I tried to remain objective and not think of the " what ifs".

We told my family last night that I'm pregnant and all the women " are hoping it's a girl". Even though I hope that too I hated hearing it. They insisted on doing the ring test too. Ggrrrrr...

That is horrible, I remember telling my mum when I was pregnant with my DS, she kept talking about him being a girl and what names she liked and when I told her he was a boy she was really disappointed and I felt like I'd let her down. As soon as he was born though it was a different story, she absolutely adores him! It's funny how much pressure people around you put on you to have certain genders, maybe part of why Gd can be so strong!
I am just telling myself baby is a little man, looking at boys clothes etc so that I am already at peace with having another DS before the big gender reveal. I think we will probably keep gender quiet from friends and family for a while anyway. A beautiful healthy baby is just that at the end of the day, no matter what gender! But I have to be honest, every person who gets a successful sway result does give me hope but I just can't see myself getting DD this time. It's playing on my mind a lot at the moment as you can tell! It's lovely to come on here and have people who can relate though
X

XXforhubby
April 6th, 2015, 08:40 AM
My DH keeps referring to the baby as a she or the little girl. I don't think I can stand to see the disappointment this time, if it is another boy. I know I swayed hard and strict and it changed my whole personality, but there are no guarantees. I keep reminding him of that, but he still does it! I hope for his sake this baby is a girl!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

dove_love
April 6th, 2015, 09:35 AM
I also hope baby is a girl for OH sake, he feels he would have a stronger bond with a girl as my son is very much a mummas boy! But i think he will be happy with another boy once he knows what baby is for sure. It's the wait that is hard coz you keep thinking what if and maybe.
X

XXforhubby
April 6th, 2015, 10:56 AM
I may do MaterniT21 or Panorama depending on how many we are having to know the gender early. I can't bear to have DH keep getting his hopes up! 20 weeks is a long time for him to get attached to the idea! I'm 35 so insurance covers the tests and only have to pay 20% of the cost.

Anyone else going to find out early?

I would like to, but not sure how easy/expensive it is in the UK! I may try and book a private scan at 15 weeks if the wait gets unbearable!
Trying to be patient but certainly is easier said than done, especially with OH getting his hopes up. I think I'm scared of letting him down.

I'm so nervous though about the gender. Somebody who doesn't even know I'm pregnant told me yesterday I'll have a 3rd boy if I go a third. I was speachless and a bit sad afterwards. Luckily a lady I was with said " so what? " which I'll have to remember.. It did hurt to hear that though. Not because I wouldn't love 3 boys but because that would be the end of my daughter dream. Unless this pregnancy results in twins we have decided to stop at 3 regardless of gender.

It's so strange cos with my first pregnancy I had horrendous sickness and the thought of meat made me sick. It's making me worry a bit!

Were you this sick with your other pregnancies XX? It's a pretty strong symptom this early on. I hope it doesn't get much worse for you.

I started feeling queasy yesterday and today but haven't actually thrown up yet although sometimes I think it's better to throw up and get it out.

I am also starting to feel frumpy. I'm still lighter now than I have been for ages that thanks to the LE diet but I'm just feeling like I want to veg out in trackies ( tracksuit pants for the non Aussie's ) and slippers.

With DS1 the nausea set in at 9 weeks and only threw up 13 times with him over the course of 5 weeks. One day though, I threw up 12 times!!

DS2 the nausea set in at 6 weeks and stayed until 28-30 weeks! It was the dizzy type of nausea, and I had to take Zofran. If I didn't, I had to sleep to escape it! I don't remember throwing up.

Baby #3, nausea set in at week 4! No throwing up, just all day sickness that feels like I could puke but don't. Nothing helps. I can tolerate it for now. I am thinking I'll need medication though when it peaks in a few weeks. My midwife said she isn't surprised I'm already so sick since my HCG levels were so high this early. Yay me! At least I know everything is ok! Hopefully it stays that way!

I here you feeling blah! I want to wear my yoga pants- they are super stretchy and comfy! I haven't gained any weight yet- I too got pretty skinny on the diet. I look bloated though. Like I'm going to get one helluva period! I'm not surprised and expect to show early, since this is my third.

Ahhhhh! I am so glad that I finally get to join a Due Date Buddies group!!!

Intro: (this will be a repeat for some:) Just got my BFP 2 days ago. Ttc for 15 cycles! My 5 other babies only took 1-2 to convince so this was a very frustrating and trying time for me! I am 34 years old and this is baby #6 (gosh that sounds weird!). We are so incredibly excited though! I'm due December 16th.

So nice to have a handful already so far in this group! We are all very close in age too!

I think in going to have the Harmony testing done. It will not cost me anything so why not right?? Crazy to think that in 6-8 weeks I could know what I'm having! Eeeeeek!

Nice to meet you all!

Welcome Five babies! So glad you can join us!

I too am thinking about getting an early genetic screening done. I just have to find out what is the cheapest at my hospital. My portion will be 20%, which isn't too bad!

It feels so good to be pregnant, doesn't it?! I too just want a healthy baby over gender!

I think it is awesome that most of us are the same ages!

AFM- I'm so sick! I wish I could puke. This is so bad. I'm going to try acupuncture tomorrow, but I'm going to call Monday morning for Zofran. DH goes back to work Monday, and I will have to care for my boys. DS1 will be at preschool in the morning. I just need some relief! Nothing helps! I've been eating small meals, but man! Hopefully this is a good sign that this is a healthy, sticky baby growing!

Hi Sunbunny! I did very little to sway. I just wanted to be pregnant with any kind of baby! Lol. But I did similar things as my last sway. We dtd frequently, I drank double strength Crystal Light for a couple of days before O and thru O (to lower my pH since it's the fastest way to lower it, and I'm too lazy to do LE diet), I'm still nursing the last baby which sways pink too. And both of my girls were conceived this time of year with Nov and Dec birthdays. My 3 boys were born March, May and August. We shall see but I'd be thrilled with either. We want one more of each anyways!

XX- I am so sorry you're so sick already!!! I have only gotten sick with baby 3, 4 and 5 so I remember well having 2 little boys to take care of while laying on the couch most of the time! I start at 8wks and it runs past 22wks. o hope you get some relief from Zofran!!!!

We are going "home" to the Pacific Northwest in a few months (live in Arizona now) and I'm so sad that I will be miserable the entire time. We haven't been back for 4 years. I might need an Rx for that. Not looking forward to trying to hide this from my 5 kids but not sure I will be able to. I'm the type that feels like I'm on the verge of puking 24 hours a day but never pukes therefore no relief. It's awful.

Speaking of.....when are you ladies telling your kids or family? I plan to wait as long as possible!

Sunbuny

I think you're amazing five babies! I'm feeling so tired and sick now I'm struggling to get anything decent together for dinner etc. Don't know how you do it with 5. How old are your children? So you've swayed before and it worked?

We are so excited we told all our family already. I know it's risky this early on but I feel like they'll be there for us if something does go wrong. Even our 4 year old knows. He is really excited [emoji2]

When I told my dad i told him I already know its a boy. I hate how everybody tells me " hopefully it's a girl, everybody needs a daughter". Sure, I would love a daughter BUT I don't really admit that to many people IRL. I don't want pity if this Bubba is a boy.

Five babies- that is me to a T! I'm nauseous all day and don't puke = no relief!! Ugh!

We have told a handful of friends and two family members, my Grandma and my DH's mom and dad. We only told people that can keep secrets and are very close with us, A) so we have someone to talk to about it, and B) have a support system in case something goes wrong. Plus these family members couldn't be fooled anyway and would know right off of the bat!

Despite being so sick, I'm happy because this means a healthy, sticky baby! With the small sub chorionic bleed that I had at 4 weeks, I'm not nervous anymore. Both the US tech and my OB said it would pose no problem now or in the future when the placenta forms. I'm glad they warned me not to freak out when the placenta starts to embed in my uterus, it may push out any remaining clot that is left and it will be passed. It passed two nights ago and it looked like a scab, just like they said! It was very small, only less than 1 cm. I'm glad I don't have that to worry about anymore!!

When do you ladies plan on telling your children?

Sunbunny- I totally know what you mean! I would always put on a tough front and act like I didn't even want a girl. Lol. So we have DS1 (15), DS2 (13), DD1 (9), DS3 (5) and DD2 (2.5). After DD1 was born I have always wanted 2 littles girls in a row to match. Since my girls are 7 years apart it was hard to find stuff that matched and it only lasted a year. So I'd love a girl this time.

It's funny because if I do nothing and dtd every 3 days (which is our norm) then I have boys no matter what (I naturally eat a boy diet) but when we conceived DD1 I remember things being different. We had just moved from one state to another and my eating habits had changed, I was drinking tons of diet coke which I never did before etc and I conceived a girl. This was all before I heard about swaying. Then we were ttc #4 and were back to our usual habits etc and I had a boy. That's when I wanted to find out why and I found these boards. So I swayed for a girl with baby #5 and it worked! So I did the same things on a smaller scale this time. I just wanted to be pregnant again so if I didn't do enough then that's fine with me! I can try harder next time!

XX- yes, it's the worst feeling! And very hard to hide! I hope this is your girl!
I actually had a a sub chrionic bleed with my last baby. I bled for weeks 5-10! It was so scary. I was so stressed. They put me on pelvic rest the entire time. Glad yours resolved quickly!!

I'm waiting to tell family until we know the gender whether that be at 12 weeks with blood tests or 20 with ultrasound. I am not a teeny tiny lady and after 5 babies I have a belly so I can hide it. ;). Hiding from my kids that I live with and are old enough to realize why mom is so sick will be much harder! So they might know earlier but I'd like to try and hold out. It goes by so much faster when no one knows. I'm not even calling my OB until 10 weeks.

I LOVE Christmas time and Christmas babies. However, this is what we have going on in December:

December 15th - DH's b-day
December 19th - Our anniversary
Christmas (obviously)
December 28th - DS2's b-day.......and then DD1 is January 4th, so it is a bit nuts!

That IS a bit nuts so I see why you want to wait. DH and DD2 have the same birthday at the very end of November and the DD1 was born Dec 31st. We always have a ton planned in December too. Not a very convenient time but I really do love Christmas time babies too! Makes Christmas so magical some how. :)

I'm looking forward to a Christmas baby! Although, if I go a week before my due date we may have a Thanksgiving baby! We are excited either way.

I had acupuncture today to help with morning sickness and it helped a lot! I have Sea Bands on now and they are helping too. I don't feel quite so sick. I just ordered Psi Bands that are much cuter- we will see. I just don't like taking medicine when pregnant.

All of the Zofran class action lawsuits make me nervous.

I feel so much better today... I woke early, went to the gym , forced myself to drink a smoothie which I normally love but haven't been able to stomach the past few days, went to work and had an awesome night. DH is blaming my hormones but seriously the whole house seemed to be in harmony. I picked up the kids from daycare and they were laughing and singing the whole trip home. No fights, everyone ate dinner no questions asked or tantrums thrown. Wow.. What a day.

XX - that's awesome that the accupunture helped. Do you see somebody who specializes in women's health? I can understand wanting to try something natural if you can.

Wow Mommymachine.. You do have a hectic December. What a special month for your family.

Fivebabies... I got like that last week. Napping when I could on my days off.. I mean napping where I wake up in a pool of dribble and also early nights. I'm sure despite my energy levels today I'll still have an early night.

I'm actually going to pick up my workouts again! These Sea Bands are a miracle cure! P90x3 modified, here I come! I'm going to finish it. I should be done when I am 14 weeks. If it gets too hard, I'll switch to my T25 and then later on when I am huge, my Jillian Michaels Body Revolution. She has a lot of standing an work, which is awesome when pregnant. Plus, I have been eyeing a Yoga dvd for pregnancy. I may peruse YouTube for pregnancy workouts. I find working out at home the best when DS2 naps. I'm a SAHM, so this is easier than going to the Gym for me.

What do you ladies do for exercise?

Sunbunny- what a wonderful day! Love it when everything falls into place like that. So glad you could enjoy it!

XX- sooooo glad you're feeling better! I remember sea bands helping. Will need to pick some up for later. You sound like a workout machine. Exercise? Yeah, I seem to have zero time for that. But I'm also one of those people that truly does not like it. So I'm not exactly motivated. Lol. But when I do anything or find the time I hit the treadmill. Walking on an incline or slow jogging. If love to have a super active lifestyle but I guess chasing 5 (soon to be 6) kids is it for now.

XXforhubby

Five babies- that is enough exercise looking after 5, soon to be 6, kids! My boys like to exercise with me so that helps. I didn't exercise with DS2, because I worked right up until I gave birth. This time, I want to avoid late onset GD so I am going to try and exercise as long as I can! I started out 10lbs heavier with DS2, and I think that contributed to the GD. I didn't have it with DS1.

I do love my exercise though!

I just enjoy walking or the cross trainer and now that I'm no longer avoiding weights I've started with light weights again. I find I enjoy exercising when I'm not pushing myself do 60 mins 6 times a week ( like when swaying). Now that I have the freedom to stop I'm enjoying it about 3 times per week.

What are sea bands and where do you get them? I might look into them.

You can get them in most drug stores or online at Amazon. Just search for Sea Bands or Psi Bands. I ordered Psi Bands and should get them tomorrow or Wednesday. They apply pressure when placed on points below your wrist. If they don't seem to help, then move them farther down. My points are a full 1.5 inches below my wrist. If my acupuncturist didn't put marks on my wrists where to put the bands with tape, I would never have known!

I worked during pregnancy #1 so no exercise and then did exercise through the entire time with 2 and 3. Swam a lot with 4 (we live in AZ) but nothing with #5.

I got GD with #5! They thought it was so weird that I didn't with the others. Already started the diet this time. I actually lost 17 lbs during my last pregnancy (gained 2 the entire time and was down 17 at my 2 week post op appt).
I'd love to avoid GD this time around!

I've already started the diet too! I had late onset with DS2. I firmly believe it was because I was 10lbs heavier when I got pregnant with him. I'm the skinniest I've ever been preconception wise, so we'll see. I'm just so sick to exercise!

Hi girls,

what diet are you (XX and 5babies) are you on? Is that to avoid gestational diabetes? I woke up feeling sick again this morning but after exercising I felt much better. Even stomached McDonalds for lunch.. Yum. I wonder if it's a coincidence that the days I exercise I feel better?

So.. I've booked in for my early screening blood test. It's called Genea. It's on the 11/5. Wow... That's not that long. Then about 1-2 weeks for results. I'll also have my first ultrasound that day.

Hope you're feeling better today XX.

Xx

That's exciting Sunbuny! Is Genea part of the quad screen or is it like Harmony and MaterniT21?

Yeah we are eating the way you need to prevent or control gestational diabetes. Ironically, it is a good way to lose the baby weight afterward! Plus, I haven't gained any weight yet! I'm only 6 weeks 5 days though, but I gained 2-4lbs with the boys by this point.

I'm glad you're feeling so great! I'm going to add my Magnesium back in- my midwife said it can help diminish morning sickness if you take it before bed. I have the glycinate powdered form. I stopped taking it- I'm not sure why, but I'm curious to see if it helps!

Oh that's always so sad! It doesn't seem to get any easier with the next ones either. :( I have one that's a freshman in high school and I know I'll still cry leaving DS3 at kindergarten this August!

But it'll be nice to have 4 months with just DD2 (2 yrs) before this baby comes! It's always so fun to have just one little buddy to spoil for awhile before so much of my attention is on baby.

I walked through the baby section at the store today and got so excited to shop for a new baby!!! I wanted sooooo badly to buy a couple of things but not knowing the gender makes it pointless.

I have been tempted too, but I'm waiting until we know for sure what we are having.

I'm so proud of myself! I worked out twice today! I took the boys on a 30min power walk to a park (30min on way). Then I did a T25 work out with DH and the boys after dinner!

I'm going to kick GD's butt!! I think my monitor is going on the fritz. I've had a very high reading after working out, when it is ways low. I wait only like 10min, retest and it is what it should be. There is no way it could go from 169 to 80 in 10min!! Maybe I should use the control solution? My diabetic friend said I may need to lower the gauge of my lancets. She said if you use a too small of one and have to squeeze your finger, that can give a high reading. I may need to do that! There is no way my numbers are really that high and me not feel sick or symptomatic! Argh! One more thing to worry about...

My BS was 83 this morning! I think I wasn't getting a good stick. I squeezed my finger before pricking and that seemed to help instead of squeezing after pricking. Phew! I was getting nervous with those strange readings! I think I will get bigger lancets too, that should help. I'm just paranoid of getting GD. Given my age, if I get GD I have to switch from the midwives at my hospital to the OB's. The midwives stay with you the whole time you are laboring, instead of coming and going like OBs do. I guess it is out of my hands!

Feeling a bit better this morning. I'm going to try to exercise this afternoon when DS2 naps.

Thanks girls! I'm feeling better after a super long very much needed nap. I need to hear all of the home remedies you guys have! I want to avoid Zofran if I can but know that might not be realistic.

That's so nice that you work for your OB! You going to do the blood gender testing? I think most of us are. I have a New Years Eve baby and don't love that. I'm due Dec 16th and will most likely have a c-section so I can schedule that up to a week early (as you know). So the further away from Christmas the better for me. I need to recover for at least a week too. Busy time!

Fivebabies.. I think exercise is what works for me. No exercise today and I feel terrible. I have yet to try the bands.. I might have to though. Do you guys actually get sick? I haven't been. I'm baking for a charity and even the chocolate is making me feel sick. Lol... Normally I love sweets!

I always feel like I'm literally on the verge of throwing up but never can. So I never get any relief. If I'm standing I feel like I'm going to pass out and if I lay down to avoid passing out then my nausea it 100x worse. I stay sick until 22 weeks usually. :(

We went to DS3's Tball game just now and the fresh air, breeze and sunshine helped. That will come to an abrupt end very soon since I live in the desert.

That is how it is for me too Five babies! I feel on the verge of puking but never can [emoji20]. The bands help a lot but if I try to eat while nauseous, that makes it worse! Smells good or bad can set it off. I'm doomed! I hope it doesn't last until 22weeks like with DS2! At least then I got relief if it ate frequently!

SN- I had horrible cramping after sex! No spotting, but I told DH that we are using condoms from now on! Yeah, like I need something else to worry about!

Welcome and congrats Twinkle!!! Is this your first baby? :)

XX-yep, exactly. I totally feel your pain. It's so miserable. But worth it for a baby! I keep trying to tell myself that. Lol. I'm actually feeling better today. Need to run to the store to grab some bands before the ones I need to order come! But that'll be a dead giveaway and my older kids will probably figure it out. I guess I could say they are for digestion or something but I couldn't wear them out of the house....hmmmm.

My stomach mostly hurts now. Eating makes it worse but then not eating gives me other problems. There's no winning. I guess I'll lock myself in the house for the next 3-4 months.

I would call the doctors office and let them know. They did a Beta for me and an US five days later. Hang in there! It could just be uterine stretching or am owie on your cervix. TMI- if I have a difficult or large BM I get pinkish/red CM for a lite bit.

So last night when I couldn't sleep due to cramping after sex, DH and I talked about baby names. I wasn't going to tell him the name I really like for a girl, because I thought he wouldn't like it. He is already on board with a word name for a girl, since I have a word name. Well I told him, and he loves it! If we have a boy we have a first name picked out. Not sure about the middle name for a boy yet, but at least we have names picked out!

We didn't have any names for our boys until I was 8 months pregnant, and we didn't have any girl names picked out.

I'm so happy! [emoji175][emoji175]

So exciting twinkle! So are you of "advanced maternal age" like the rest of us? Lol. I think we are all 33-35. What genders do you have and did you away at all?

So the spotting was just the one instance this morning so far. Since there's really nothing that the Dr could do I'm just going to put myself in pelvic rest for a few days unless it starts back up. Now that you mention it XX (tmi warning) I have had loose tummy issues for the last 2-3 days so maybe it's from that? Can you take Imodium while pregnant?

AFM: I'm actually feeling pretty good! Still soooooooo sleepy. can barely keep my eyes open but the nausea isn't too bad and just comes and goes. I am hoping and (literally) praying that it doesn't get as bad as usual this time around. I need to be able to be a mom to my kids! I am still spotting exactly every other day. I sure hope the spotting goes away soon Five babies! Mine came back for a day then went away and then came back stronger three days later, but still light. I had a prenatal appointment and my midwife checked out my cervix. All is well! She showed me a study that puts my miscarriage rate at 9% since my SCH was only 1cm and we saw a strong heartbeat. That is about as close to the peace of mind as anyone can give me right now. I'll take it!!

I had to break down and ask for meds! I drew the line at puking three times in one day and not being able to keep water down! They put me on Diclegis, which is basically a time released Unisom/B 6 combo. in one pill. It is the only category A antiemetic approved for morning sickness. It works miracles! I only take two tablets at night and it lasts ALL day! I feel human! I can tell it is still there at times, which makes me feel good!

If you're in the states, don't hesitate to ask for it, if you need it! The Unisom/B6 worked for me but only lasted 12 hours and then I was sick the rest of the time. The Diclegis lasts all day long!!!

So mad at DH! He knows that smells can set me off into either puking or severe nausea. What does he do? He decides to soak his feet in LAVENDER Epsom salts and then apply salicylic acid wart remover that still smells in the other room! Ugh! I told him he wants to continue to live here, he has to use these things either in the garage or outside!!!

Now I feel so sick after feeling so great all day! Only 40mins until I can take more medicine!

5babies- I hope everything is ok!

DH felt so bad last night! He didn't realize his salicylic acid wart remover would have a lingering smell. He promised to use it outside from now on! Whew!

So I STILL don't have an increase in appetite and have to make myself eat and snack! I haven't gained any weight yet, which I know isn't a big deal. By 8 weeks with both of my boys I had put on 4-6 pounds! I only gained 25 with both of them. I wonder how much I'll end up gaining this time. I'm sure my appetite will increase at some point. It is just strange though and something different I have noticed in this pregnancy. Otherwise I seem to be more sick than with DS2.

Glad the Diclegis is working for you XX! I needed the unisom/b6 combo for both of my pregnancies or else I was dying. Without it, with DS2, DH would be showering in the morning and I'd be throwing up at the toilet next to him AND peeing all over the floor at the same time since I was vomiting so forcefully!!!! Sooo horrible!!!! After doing that daily for 2 weeks I had to break out the unisom/b6!!! It helped, but not as much as it did with DS1 and I was still sick till the 26 week mark!

I've had to stop exercise too. I still take the boys to the park and either walk there or run around with them. I'm hoping once the MS wanes I can resume my workout DVDs. My OB told me not to worry about it while I'm so sick, since he doesn't want me to get dehydrated. I just want to avoid gestational diabetes so I'm anxious to get an exercise routine established. All in due time!

Yay Eleena! That progression looks fantastic! I would definitely call that one attempt in your fertile window!

So so happy for you!!

I though so. I couldn't have ovulated later on the second surge I thought I had or the first positive would have been 7dpo which would have been too early. I am v happy with the timing/number of attempts and I also lost around 11lb

Ugh, I'm so sick! I'm beginning to think this baby doesn't like the food I eat! I did veer from my normal lunch today, but geez! Looks like I better stick to the same menu [emoji12]. I've even taken a third tablet this morning too! I just want to feel better....I'm glad though it means things are well with baby [emoji4]!

Any news from everyone else?

I'm so sorry xx! What do you normally eat that is considered safe foods? Nothing sounds good anymore. :(

I finally set my first appt up. They don't even want to see me before 12 weeks. All they would do is a confirmation pee test so I'd rather lay on my couch. Lol. I go in June 9th. I might call back in a couple weeks to ask them to call in an Rx for me if I can't take it anymore. Still soooooo sick.

Anyone else have a fun appt? I want to see some u/s photos!

No pics yet, but I did get the results from my second beta and hcg was 6237, making for a 48 hour doubling time! A friend of mine pointed out that after hcg reaches 1200 doubling times are supposed to slow down to 72-96 hours, so now I'm a little worried there might be twins in my future. Eek! First u/s is hopefully in 9 days, so we'll see what we see!

Don't worry about twins! My first at 4weeks was 22,516!! Two days later it was 32,682!!! I only have one baby in there! My high levels of hcg is why I'm so sick [emoji20] [emoji4]!

Did any of you guys get EWCM after a clear thermal shift? BD without a pos OPK because of EWCM. Now getting another patch 2 days later. Weird.

Morning sickness is getting in for you. I've taken 25mg of unisom and 100mg of B6(what the store had) every night. I think it's working but having a hard time "sleeping off " the unisom. Any thoughts on dosages?

I did! I didn't get a positive opk, but I had in past cycles. I too got another run of EWCM and kept BDing. As it turned out for me, that second run was due to a second estrogen surge to build up my lining for a sticky bean! Look at my chart in my signature. Your post O temps look like mine!

FX so hard for you!!!!

I would love to know dosage on the unison/b6 combo too. I need some relief.

I've taken the Unisom/B6 combo for both of my pregnancies and the dosage was a 1/2 tablet of 25mg Unisom plus 50mg of vitamin B6 at bedtime every day. I was never sleepy the next day with this dosage.
With DS1 it completely cured me of my morning sickness, but with DS2 it only helped (but enough for me to get myself off the couch and eat again)!
At 26 weeks I was still having morning sickness daily and my midwife told me to try drinking dandelion root tea daily as it helps the liver work properly and she was told at a midwifery conference that morning sickness after the first trimester if often related to poor liver functioning. Well, within 24 hours of drinking the tea my morning sickness was GONE! I sure wish she would have told me about it at 13 weeks instead of 26! The brand I bought was Traditional Medicinals and I'd have a cup a day with a little bit of sugar and milk. It kind of tastes earthy and coffee like LOL, but I was willing to try anything!

Thank you!!! I'll split my unisom tab in half but the b6 is really hard to split..any harm in taking the full tab at bedtime?

Nope! If you ladies find that the Unisom/B6 doesn't last all day for you, ask your OB for a script for Diclegis. It is the same, just that both medications are in one tablet and are time released. It had been a life saver for me!

I swear this baby doesn't like it when I eat! I always feel nauseous after eating no matter what I eat or how much! Ugh! Eating is not even enjoyable anymore [emoji20]. I seriously dread eating. 5 weeks. 5 long weeks I have been dealing with this. Sigh

The medication helps, but I still get nauseous after eating that lasts about 30-45min. It is awful. Then I feel fine. I think I would have HG if not for the medication!

Wow... That is terrible. I didn't get nearly as sick as you are but it still felt horrible so I can only imagine what you are feeling [emoji21]

I feel like I'm actually starting to feel a bit better except I'm starting to get insomnia and cramps at night. I went through that in a previous pregnancy. Horrible because it makes me even more tired and impatient during the day.

How long did the MS last for you in previous pregnancies. I'm sorry to all you ladies suffering... Its horrible.

I stay sick until 22 weeks. :(

I'll either get better by the end of the first trimester or it will last until 22 weeks. I hope it will be the former and not the latter!

Glad you are feeling somewhat better Sunbuny! I had insomnia with DS2. It was awful! Try taking a Benadryl before bed to get some sleep. Benadryl is a class A.

Took a half tab of unisom last night with the 100mg of B6. Woke up slightly better but nausea started about 10am. Wonder if I can take the other half tab in the morning? Yet, I'm so scared to take it during the day with littles at home. Ultrasound on Friday! Will be the longest week ever. How do you ladies feel about the ramzi theory? I hate to even think about it and give me hope for a girl. Just keep telling myself that I've done all I could. And know that if it wasn't for this site, I would have 0% at my girl.

This is directly off of my midwive's page:
Vitamin B6 may be taken to reduce nausea: 50-100mg per day
Medications: Doxylamine succinate (Unisom) can be taken at bedtime (25mg) and twice a day (12.5mg) for relief of nausea. However, this can be sedating. Doxylamine can also be taken in conjunction with Vitamin B6 in the above dosage and has been shown to be highly effective for decreasing nausea.

I feel the same way Smarston! Everything went out the window when I saw the baby on the screen during my first US. The baby implanted on the left side and my giant corpus luteum is also on the left! I keep telling myself that I could be the exception and this is still a boy. I just hope it is a DD for DH's sake!

GL at your US! Looking forward to hearing how things are going!

I have to share this with you ladies! So I have a family friend who is an OB (he over sees the midwives at my hospital that I see. It's like getting two for one, if I need interventions [emoji4]), and he gave me some tips that help with blood sugar and MS!

Don't sleep on your left side unless it has been 3 hours after eating. Sleeping on your left side before then puts more pressure on your stomach and cause it to take EVEN longer to empty! It also puts pressure on the pancreas causing insulin release to be impaired, which allows BS to stay higher.

So if we must go to bed/nap/rest cause we are so sick before 3 hours have passed, lay on our right side. It will help alleviate MS and not raise our blood sugar levels!

Why was I never told this before!!!!!

Also, sleep inclined after eating to prevent heartburn/sour stomach. I'm sure you all know about this one though!

How is everyone? I'm starting to feel twinges of MS, especially after I eat or if I haven't eaten in too long. I have the Unisom and B6 sitting on the shelf, but part of my is eager to feel some proof that the pregnancy is progressing. I know after about a day I'll be over that! Lol.

Hope you're all doing well! When is the next scheduled u/s to look forward to? Mine won't be until at least May 11, if they decide to do one the same day as my first prenatal visit.

Feel the same way. A few waves of nausea are reassuring. But, the unisom/b6 aren't making me want to rush time if that makes sense.
