View Full Version : Chart help please! Wrong ovulation date?

Hi!

Is it possible that fertility friend predict wrong ovulation day?*

I'm pretty sure i ovulated CD14. I ususally ovulate between day 14-15, and i always have ovulation pain the same day (FF always confirm this). But this month i had my very strong ovulation pain CD14, but FF says CD15?
This month my chart is showing a slow rise after ovulation, this has never happened before..

Take a look at my chart, what do you think? Is it possible that i ovulated CD14?

Yes, it is absolutely possible for FF to get O day wrong. It isn't psychic, it's just a computer program and it gets tricked all the time. On CD 15, if your temp was just a little cooler for some reason (like the room was chilly or just randomly) then it absolutely could hve been misled.

O pain does not indicate ovulation, though. YOu can get O pain before, during, and after ovulation.

It is def. possible you ovulated on CD 14.

I agree. You definitely could have ovulated on CD14!

Thank you! :)

Can a slow rise after ovulation be a bad sign? "Weak ovulation"?
I used to have these wonderfully perfect temp jumps after O..

Nope. Look at my chart in my signature. I either Oed CD10 with a slow rise too, or I Oed CD12. I got a BFP at either 10 or 12DPO.

I think it's definitely possible you Oed on CD14, but more likely you Oed on CD15 or 16. Usually fertile CM dries up on O day if not before. If you did O on CD15 or 16, that would be better for TTC pink anyway.

I wouldn't read too much into a slow rise, it can happen for multiple reasons.

Thanks! Sometimes i'm having ewcm after having O. This has happened many times before, for some reason. I guess it has to do with estrogen. This month i've been drinking a lot of grape fruit juice. :)

Hugs! 4 losses is many, and I know you've been TTC a while now. I really hope you conceive this cycle! Fx for you. We are cycle buddies, I'm on CD18 also (technically early on CD19 now) and pretty sure I Oed in the am on CD18 so just a couple days behind you. I sometimes get EWCM for a day or two after O as well, but MOST months I O on the last day of EWCM or the day after. And I have found temps to be much, much, MUCH more reliable than CM for determining O, both for myself and the vast majority of women. Regardless of when exactly you Oed your BD is very well timed, and later O would be pinker as I said...hopefully it does the trick. Have you been having multiple attempts in your fertile period just this cycle or for longer? How many cycles did you try with just one attempt?

I'm so so sorry for all your losses.

To me, it looks like you O'd on CD16. Fingers crossed for you!

This is how my chart looks like today! FF changed my O date to CD14. Also it looks like i'm having a dip. I hope that's a good sign. In all my pregnancy-chart i've been having a temp dip around day 6-7 and no temp dip in my non pregnancy-charts. (I swear this is the first chart for this to happen. Gah..)
Maybe CD5 is too early, hope not..
I hope my bbt will show a strong temp rise tomorrow!

Corpus luteum dip, anyone heard about this before?

maidentomother
March 29th, 2015, 02:22 PM
Yep, the CL produces estrogen, a secondary estrogen surge that can cause temp dips after O.

I took a cheap hpt this morning, of course it came out negative. With a 25miu test i shouldn't test any earlier than 9dpo, even that might well be a waste of a test.. I know!
I'm 8dpo. I have my morning urine stored in the fridge so i can take another test later today, but this time with a extra sensitive hpt, 10miu (will have them delivered later this day).

What 10miu tests do you get in Sweden? I haven't been able to find ANY sensitive, reliable OPKs or HPTs here in Germany and I've tried several brands.

I hope they are legit! I have used several brands that claim to be sensitive but really ars not. So don't be let down if you see negatives for a while.

Can't stop counting myself as out. :( Took a clearblue Plus this morning, bfn. My chart looks so good, i thought i would be able to see something faint, faint, faint....

:( this is after the time limit.

Why do I do this to myself?!
...maybe there appears to be the worlds-most-super-incredibly-faintest line... but i know this isn't reliable.

I see a faint line!!! It is still early, test tomorrow and I think you'll see a much darker one!

eme1ieh

Junie

You're only 9DPO so if you get a line it is going to be really faint. This is the problem with testing so early.

Hang in there! I know you have a history of losses and the waiting is hard but a day or two will make everything more clear. (((Hugs)))

Those tests are not sensitive enough for how early you are.

With my daughter and the pregnancy after her i had a clear bfp on 10dpo! Using clearblue.
I took one of these 10miu, bfn!

Please don't take this the wrong way but I honestly think you should stop charting. I feel like they cause you nothing but stress.

I see slow rises all the time that end in pregnancy.

It doesn't matter what happened in a different pregnancy. YOu start off with varying levels of HCG in your body that then doubles over time so if you start off with less, you would get a BFN on the same day you got bfp before.

I cannot stress strongly enough how much I really do not want you guys testing before !!!!!! 12 !!!!!!! days after the latest day you might have Oed. All you do is create yourself stress, heartache and despair by testing 8-9-10 DPO. I regularly have people who get neg. on 12 DPO even, who end up to be pregnant.

I understand how stupid this is.. I _know_ it causes me a lot of unnecessary stress. I tell myself every month, "the next cycle i will wait until af is due". -Then something happen! I hate that cheap hpts exist! Before i had my two latest miscarriage i actually had the patience to wait, to at least 12 dpo. Maybe it's the frustration, the grief and the longing for a second baby that bring out this hysterical side of me.
Atomic, i will seriously try to wait for now on and think of you if i get tempted to just crack open the hpt. I understand this isn't good. I won't buy any cheapy hpts anymore.

Back to the drawing board for yet another month, i just know. My gut feeling is usually right. :(

I'm super scared that i won't be able to be pregnant again, i know it doesn't sound that logical, but that's one of my biggest fears. All these thoughts and feelings they makes me kind of panic!
