Mommies! Opinions on the Bumbo Seat

I just ordered my babies Bumbo, she isnt here yet but ive heard such great things about it. I was wanting to know your opinions and how old your kids were when you first put them in it... How many months, how did they react, etc....

My son loved his! I think I started to put him in at about 4 months. When he started solids I used that at the start instead of a high chair. He used to it right up until he could sit up by himself. I think some ppl say it might slow down the sitting up process, but he got there well enough :) will definitely pull it out for the next baby.

They can be great when used properly. Always keep it on a level floor never on a chair because kids have died from that stupid move. Use it in moderation so they get the proper muscle development. The people that had problems of their kids slowed sitting up and other problems had their kids in it for hours and shouldn't have.

Thankyou, some people lack common sense. Why would you put it on a chair? Thats asking for something bad to happen..

I loved mine, worked great for about the ages of 4-6 months when they want to be part of the action. But you do need to use it with supervision and not on a bed, table, or in the bathtub. Once they are able to arch their back they can buck themselves out of it and/or tip over the chair so you don't want them above floor level.
