Hello ladies. I was just wondering if anybody else feels like they are eating too much? I stick within the limits (most days) but I do feel like I'm having more than I should. I tend to have 2 toast with hummus or low sugar marmalade or 2 plain tortilla wraps (no filling), a yoghurt, a packet of low fat crisps, a low fat chocolate bar, 2 ryvita or something similar for my first meal and then either something similar for tea minus the yoghurt or pasta with veg and another low fat chocolate bar for pudding. With each meal I will have a latte. I do not snack or have breakfast. I will sometimes have alcohol but not everyday. does this sound OK? Thanks.

I wouldn't have any chocolate bars for sway girl. Replace with candy or yogurt aspartame in it. Have a bigger lunch. Think 600 lunch 600 dinner
Eat bagels cream cheese and try couscous for dinner mix veggies and sour cream. And replace bar with candy. U have small piece chocolate but don't overdue it.

Thank you. Do you not think I am eating enough currently? As I actually feel like I'm eating too much, even tho most days I stay in the limits. The chocolate bars I eat are weight watchers caramel wafers and only have 3.4g of fat and 1.1g of protein so not excessive

I also ate chocolate after dinner, usualy a small peace of a bar of something.
Your chocolate bar doesn't have that much fat and protein but to be sure i would't take it after avery meal.

I neede to eat sweet every meal as a reward more of less (i love sweets lol), but i ate also other candy. Maybe you can try to take the bar once a day or every other day as a compromice?

Yeah that's why I have chocolate ha ha gotta have some sort of reward eh ha. I usually stick to the chocolate bar once a day but will have 2 low fat biscuits or something similar with my second meal, should I maybe leave those out? I have never really eaten sweets, it's always been about the chocolate for me, explains why I have 3 boys and only one girl ha ha.

I ate chocolate biscuits as well!

I totally understand your choco need lol. I prefer chocolate as well but I forced myself to take other sweets after some meals.

I may do that then just to be on the safe side, I'm hoping not to be on this diet for too much longer so I'm sure I can cope without chocolate for a month or two ha ha. Ill certainly try anyway :-) Congrats on your twins and successful sway :-)

I have cut out masses of fat from my original diet and I have managed to lose weight so I'm hoping I'm doing OK, I also don't snack and I skip breakfast everyday. I'm not currently exercising but I plan on adding it back in within the next week. Did you use any supplements?

I took fiber, folic acid and antihistamine.
If you can start with excercise that would be great! There are great results with diet and excercise.

I was doing exercise but then stopped as I couldn't fit it in, that was about 4 weeks ago now but I think I can manage to do it again now. I have ordered some fiber and folic acid so just waiting for those to arrive. I have been on the diet for 3 months now so feel I should have started the supps already really.

Is the aim to be losing weight at the time of conception or will any weight lose in the months prior to conception be beneficial?

Any weight loose is helpfull.
Just make sure you don't gain any weight or put on muscles.

I didn't loose much weight, a couple of kilos.

One hour of excercise a day is sometimes difficult to plan, especially when you have small kids. I walked high speed for an hour, and stayed on my cross trainer when the kids were in bed and it was a rainy day.

That's great, thank you. over the course of Feb / early March I lost approximately one and a half stone, I still have a little weight to spare so am going to buy an exercise bike today to restart the exercise. Yes that's the difficulty I have found as I have a 2 children who are in school but my youngest 2 are still home with me and it's not ideal taking them with me to go walking, hopefully though with having the bike I can do it when they are in bed.

I know the recommendation for exercise is the hour 6/7 times a week but if you can't manage that is doing say half an hour going to be beneficial?

Are you tracking your nutrients??? If you are, and your nutrients are fitting in the day's totals, then you are not having too much. It feels like a lot of food (and part of the reason why many of us actualy find it easier to stick to than other diets). I was rarely unsatisfied or unhappy on LE diet and I know many others have had the same question that you do, it just ends up being more than you think it will be but that is OK!!

If anything I find your food intake to be a bit low - are you getting enough protein and fat??? Also remember, low carb veg are unlimited you can have as much as you want, no need to limit!

60 minutes is more important than number of days a week, it seems like. So if you can manage it 4 days a week, that has worked for people. less than that does not seem as effective nd I would not risk it.

It's fine. There is not enough antioxidants in that to amount to anything.

any weight loss is beneficial. we had horrible results with trying to time weight loss - very stressful and people getting pregnant when they were trying to regain weight to lose (ending up with boys)

I do track my nutrients and typically I come in around the 40g for both fat and protein. I have on occasion gone over the 50g protein but rarely and if that happens I will try and eat less the next day. I do find it very easy to stick to and I think that's why I'm thinking I'm eating too much. This may be a silly question but What veg are classed as low carb?

Oh dear, that is certainly not a route I would wish to go down, I'm quite happy with my weight loss so far I just need to decide whether I should restart exercise, I just worry that I may not be able to fit it in.

That is one of those questions I just can't answer for you, only you know for sure what will be best for you. :)

If you didn't do the exercise for 60 mins for a minimum 4 days a week and you did less than that would it sway boy? I know being a couch potato is next best thing but what affect would day to day exercise have on that? Like walking to the shops and things like that.

That's a question I had but I read over some sways and it seems like we're doing all or nothing. I eased into it for the first week, but now im committed to the 60 (or more) x6 days. With the diet and excersize I just don't want to go half way but that's just me. This is one of those crystal ball situations.
Atomic said to me that you just need to work hard enough to feel it, like your having a good work out and work up a sweat. And for an hour is what is recommended.

I just feel a little confused with regards to the exercise. I was without a car so was walking everywhere, I lost a lot of weight but I was definitely not walking for an hour at a time, was more like half an hour twice a day walking to and from my children's school. I did push myself (I like to walk fast) and also had my two youngest children in a double buggy (which made me work harder) since having my car back tho the exercise has gone out of the window, I'm thinking I may restart the exercise but for 60 mins just the 4 times a week, I think if I tried to go straight in with the 60 6/7 I would end up doing myself an injury, also I do have some weight to spare but think along with the diet it won't take me long to shift it and I don't want to risk ovulation.

I wasn't doing any exercise when I conceived my daughter but my eating pattern was similar to what I'm eating now so diet may just be enough for me, who knows, like you said it's very much a crystal ball situation.

Everyone is an individual and I can't say that this sways blue for everyone across the boards. All we are trying to do is optimize our odds here and I think the best results come from a pink-friendly diet with exercise 60 min a day, 4-7 days a week. Less than that seems to be more likely to produce boys.

Do not count or worry about normal life stuff. I don't intend for you guys to shut yourselves up in a dark room to obsess about swaying 24-7. GEt out and live your life, but it doesn't count as exercise really (that doesn't mean it can't help your sway, just that it's too hit and miss to count)

I didn't exercise when I got my DD either. Was certainly walking a normal amount tho.
