An interesting blog to read. I was curious how she felt after her 20 week scan and the results are here:

The Unmumsy Mum's Guide to Motherhood: June 2013 (http://theunmumsymum.blogspot.co.uk/2013_06_01_archive.html?m=1)

I think GD is everywhere; it is just such a taboo amongst mums that it has become 'the beast that dare not speak its name'. As a mum you are expected to take everything that life throws at you (actual sh*t/ vomit/ food etc) with a smile on your face, whilst also being bombarded of the 'perfect' family make up by media/ friends/ strangers and practically berated for 'not doing it right', but god forbid a mother should profess a preference!!?! Well that is tantamount to child abuse!!!?! (Please note my MASSIVE sarcasm here ;) lol).

You are not a bad mum for having a dream, whatever shape that takes, be it a pp, only 1 boy/ girl, 2 boys/ girls, another brother/ sister for your boy/ girl, 8 kids, whatever. It's all good. Having a dream doesn't mean you don't love your kids; if anything I think GD makes us love our kids more to make up for the guilt....

Big hugs mamas all over the world xxxx

I think this is the post you meant (about the 20 week scan):

The Unmumsy Mum's Guide to Motherhood: Lesson 19: What You're Not Allowed to Wish For (http://theunmumsymum.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/lesson-19-what-youre-not-allowed-to.html)

Also the comments have people writing about their GD.

That woman is awesome! I love it when people tell it like it is instead of telling how it should be. I wish more people were like that!
