View Full Version : What do you ask at OB appt if you're not pregnant yet?

Well I'm out this month. Even though I'm late it's crystal clear we are not pregnant this month. It took me all day to do it but I finally made an appt with the OB for the week after next. This is new to me so how do these appts generally go? It's just with the OB so I imagine putting in for some basic testing and that's it. I'm not even sure if I'm ovulating because the OPK's are picking up nothing. When you ladies went (whoever has) what did you campaign for?

Just tell them how long you've been trying, that you're not getting positive OPK (even though if you're getting AF when you're supposed to, the odds are like 99% you're ovulating, but they don't need to know that!!) and that you really want to get pregnant.
Don't go in campaiging for anything - go in because you need their help getting pregnant and because they are so smart and awesome LOL. Don't mention the "C" word or request any medication or anything, you are there for their help and not trolling for meds. Most of the time they will hand over the Clomid right away, if they don't, just say thanks and follow along with what their recommendations are. :)

Oh and if you're still breastfeeding, leave that part out. They immediately seize upon any reason to blame for you not getting pregnant, even when it has nothing to do with that.

Lol, good point. If I volunteered that I just weaned the last one (even though I I've been on my period the whole time) then I would be shot down immediately. Thanks for the advice!
