Bloodwork is accurate. Looks like a girl but this is one image so always trust bloodwork over a nub shot!

girl - what did blood work say? xx

The doctor said girl , really experienced , just works in the private clinic scanning etc , she said girl on the 11.5 scan , we then had the 12 + 6 scan with the nhs , they said girl thoughts, ,my heart feels girl , but I got my blood test results back for the nifty test and they have said boy , it's a receptionist that's read it out to me over the phone as it's not on any Notes because my husband doesn't want to know , she said its 98% accurate but there is that chance it's wrong , I've found a few people on the web saying there's was wrong , more with girls though , the blood tests are sent to China . I have a son , but thought I had a possible pregnancy 3 cycles before I got pregnant , so I suppose they say that the Y chromosome would still be in a blood ****** , I just can't buy boy , I love little boys , but somthing has told me girl from day 1 , everyone on the forums say girl , maybe my Little boy has girly bits ! I have compared them all to many scans and they look so girly ! X

I've seen quite a few scans getting all girl guesses and then turning out to be boy. So I would go with the blood work rather than the nub. When is your next scan?

Cococat, I think you should trust the blood work for now, and see what the scan says in 2 weeks. Even though your nub looks girly, it still has some "boyish" elements, like it's angled upwards, so I think boy. Sorry if it's not what you want to hear. I have 3 boys, so I've been where you are several times, it takes some time to adjust.

I've also read that (about boy DNA from previous pregnancy being in blood), but I think a chemical would be too early for any of the baby's DNA to get into your blood and/or stay there for half a year. I had a boy pregnancy in 2013, a year later than you, and my blood test didn't detect any boy DNA. So I think 2012 is too long ago. So either the lab has made a mistake and it is a girl, or the nub is just very girly even if it's a boy, and the blood test is correct.

The first pic made me think girl, the second boy. I think it looks like it's on the rise and is still early at 12 weeks. I'd trust your blood test. Gl with your next scan.

I don't see any gender clues on these pictures and I think the skull is boyish (even though skull theory isn't reliable). I hope you hear girl, but please be prepared to hear boy :awe:

Looks pink, but the bloodwork is much more reliable than the ultrasounds.

You will find people say things on the web that may or may not be the case.

I would always take the word of the blood work over the ultrasound BUT when it's a case of a receptionist reading things over the phone...you know. Errors can creep in there at some point! Hope you get your dream.

The DNA being in the blood was in the older tests, these new tests are said to have been improved in that department.

Agree that a chemical cannot allow baby's blood to enter your blood******. There is little to no turnover at this stage of the game.

All that having been said, I do hope that you get what you're hoping for.

Thank you!

I think you're seeing cord in the above pic. Not nub.
