Hello :)

I am currently TTC a girl. My Ob prescibed clomid for me yesterday. I am already super dry and hoping to conceive my first try with clomid. Can I use preseed?? Does preseed definitely sway boy?

Thank you for any help!! :)

Thank you!! :)

I think Sylk or maybe KY Jelly if you want something a little more sperm friendly. I think in your shoes (with those boys behind you!) I'd use Sylk.

My 2 cents - In fully fertile couples, Preseed def. sways blue by raising pH and maximizing sperm survival. But if you have reduced fertility for any reason (inc. being on Clomid, which causes hostile CM)

The problem is, the hostile CM caused by the Clomid very likely IS what does the swaying. So you might not WANT to do anything to alleviate that (like taking estrogen, which is sometimes prescribed with Clomid.)

Using Sylk and KY are problematic too because you cannot stay on Clomid for very long at all (after a few months it will make it almost impossible to get pregnant and you can even raise your risks of certain kinds of cancer if you stay on it for too long) and they will both kill off some sperm.

I believe that a ~little~ PreSeed will not sway blue for you - the sperm still has to make it up inside the cervix and all the way to the Fallopian tubes and that's a long slog in hostile CM.

Wow, Atomic, that is very true....I didn't even think about that! My doctor is only letting me do 4 months or so, I think. Great advice!
