I have downloaded apps to track ovulation and it gives me 4 FERTILE days and then 1 OVULATION day. My question is if I'm swaying for girl, do I begin ttc during or before the fertile days begin? According to the info on here it's best to try 4-2 days before ovulation and so I just wanted to confirm if that mean before fertile days of before ovulation day.

The apps don't work. Your ovulation can change from month to month quite drastically and they are based on what happened in PREVIOUS months.

I strongly urge you do OPK tests instead because those are more reliable than the apps are.

The old school Shettles approach had it that it's best to try 2-4 days before ovulation. Some people like to start off doing that. Newer research indicates that timing intercourse doesn't work and it really cuts odds of conception, so most people either drop it right from the start or after a month or two if you don't get pg right away. The best odds of conception are 1-2 days before O, so if you must do Shettles timing, aim for 2 days before O. Otherwise, you can have an attempt at positive OPK (this is 1 day before O for most people). 50-50 boys and girls are conceived every day of the cycle and this has been proven by the newest and best technology.

Above all else, stick with one attempt. Having one attempt on ANY day of the cycle seems to sway pink for reasons we do not understand.

Hope this helps, welcome to the site.
