I'm sorry if this is posted somewhere in the TTC a Girl library but I can't find it! What sort of diet should DH be on? The LE diet? He doesn't eat much red meat but he does eat a lot of protein. Also, am I correct in assuming he should drop weight lifting and just do cardio for exercise?

DH doing the LE along with you is optimal, as is cardio (especially running or biking). No weights. Still, what YOU do matters most. But if DH is willing, his efforts can only help.

He eats super healthy and eats pretty much the same thing every day so I don't know, he might actually enjoy the LE diet since it's so different (especially the beer part :wink:since he gave up alcohol while on this health kick). I think he'll be sad to give up weightlifting though. Do his testosterone/estrogen levels matter all that much?

Ot THAT much, no. We're not even sure how hormones sway. But we DO know that what the woman does/eats matters tremendously, so I'd focus on that. Many if not most successful pink swayers had no help from DH at all. I'd take what you can get from him (every little bit still helps) but not push too hard. Better to keep him happy, so if he LOVES weights, it's no sway killer. Intense bodybuilders actually have more daughters, so possibly too much testosterone sways pink in men (as well as too little). It seems optimal healthy moderation in all things sways blue, while the extremes sway pink, in both men and women.

I try not to encourage this too much because it's what you do that matters most, and the more people demand of their husbands, the less the husbands end up willing to do.

If he is willing to help, have him go vegetarian if he will do that. If he won't, just dropping red meat and/or cutting back on all meat may help some.

Changing his fat intake as described in this thread may help http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/39013-skinny-fats-pink-blue.html

Some people give their husband soy milk 24-48 oz a day and/or soy foods like tofu or veggie burgers.

We do not know if weight lifting is bad for DH to do. We do have studies that show jogging and biking do seem to sway pink, so if he does that, it's great. I don't think you should necessarily badger him into giving up weight training though if he enjoys that.

You have to balance the stuff you ask DH to do. If you ask him to do too much, he WILL rebel and then he won't do anything (even the cooperative ones end up rebelling at some point) Some husbands have gotten so annoyed about it that they will refuse to TTC at all!!! And that, you don't want.

:agree: that many of us have gotten girls with husbands who would not help one bit. My husband would not help with either DS 4 or DD sway. He did coincidentally change some things but he did all that on his own with no prompting from me. :)
