Hi everyone! So nice to be able to share advice and info on this beautiful journey! DS is almost 18 months. Trying for a GIRL in just a short couple weeks (next O). Going to either get RePhresh, Replens, or a vinegar douche today..I have read SO much about all of them and still have no clue! Any rerecommendations?

Hi there! Welcome to Gender dreaming. I think I've seen you post in other categories but I wanted to say welcome just the same.

I don't recommend putting ANY of those in your vagina. They barely sway if at all and severely inhibit conception. Time on the LE diet & changing your lifestyle, 60+ min daily cardio and just ONE BD attempt within the 3-4 days up to and including O are the strongest swy tactics. But especially diet above all.

Thank you for the reply! I get really excited that that ONE THING is the answer, but I'm learning now that I'll drive myself crazy/limit conception at all by adding everything to my sway. I am a thin person and already do daily cardio. I have a few supplements I was considering: Cranberry, Cinnamon, Folic Acid and then baby asprin and antihistamine. Should I drop the first two? I tested PH after dtd last night..mix of cm and sperm and it was very high..does PH not really matter anymore? I think I have been reading old sway tactics! I really appreciate the help!

Hi and welcome!

I can assure you it's NEVER one thing.

Most people do want to start off doing something, be it jelly or douche. I think Jellies are safer and more sanitary but at the same time, the data has shown that they do nothing to help the sway. Douches have not been used by enough people for me to be able to say if they really work or not, and even if they do, the downsides of them are SOO major that it is probably not worth it.

Diet longer htan 12 weeks (plus fiber and alcohol), exercise, one attempt, LR for DH and Clomid or Femara if you can get some are the most consistent and best tactics we have.

Don't do both cran and baby aspirin. Neither got stellar results and both carry some pretty big risks, and most of us aren't using them any more, and never ever use both. You can give cran to your hubby if you want to.

Antihistamine I do think sways pink but it hasn't been a heavy hitter in our results. IF you don't get pg right away, that should be the next thing to drop.

Be sure you don't go overboard with diet, eat enough cals to prevent excess weight loss. Since you are thin, I would NOT recommend the cinnamon for you, no way, no how (as per our discussion in other thread where I did not know you were thin) YOu don't need it.

pH debunked here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/11684-ph-pickle.html Seriously, our numbers have gone UP since we started moving away from the cran/aspirin/RepHresh/Acijel/Sylk business. Up considerably!

Thank you so much Atomic for all your feedback! Like I said, I think I was reading a lot of really old forum threads! I think I will stop all supps and concentrate on diet, exercise and perhaps an antihistamine if I am noticing a lot of ewcm around O. What about a fibre supp? I do eat a pretty "boy" diet.. but have been trying to cut way back. Can fiber help any?

Yes fiber has gotten good results. I tend to lump that in with diet in my brain, sorry.

Time on the diet should dry up the EWCM, it sure did for me.

What's the recommended amount of fiber?

Saj: Looks like we're on the same track! Fast sway becsuse O is nearing! Trying to get all this info! What's your sway so far? When are you starting?

I'm trying to do a fast sway so the baby won't be born during DH's busy time at work! I've been doing the LE diet and skipping breakfast. I've been drinking the great value aspartame stuff too. For our first month, I'm going to try everything and see if I get pregnant. I think DH has super sperm! I think I was reading a lot of old info too; I'm trying to adjust to all the new stuff I've learned! What about you?

I have been trying to skip breakfast but I take classes at the gym in the morning so I have to eat something. I think I'm going to try antihistamine, fiber supps, and RePhresh the first month. I know RePhresh is "old" tactics for swaying but I'll try it first cycle. I am really bad about dieting but I'm trying! Think I'm going to do the FR and dtd everyday through O. Have you decided on timing?

Saj

I'm going to use RePhresh too. I was going to try abstaining but I guess that's not recommended anymore, so we'll do every 4 days. I might try antihistamine too. How much fiber do you take? I've been trying to be a couch potato but it's hard with three kids! I had DH taking supplements but he's not very good at remembering to take them.

I'm not sure on fiber amount..I need to know that answer also. I eat FiberOne bars now but need to get a supp. It's hard because if you look at the data spreadsheet all of the things that have had decent results people don't recommend anymore! Cinnamon, cal/mag, etc. got good results.

I take Metamucil caplets before I eat fattier foods - I follow the bottle (it says 5 capsules up to four x a day) I really only use it now and then, when I plan to eat like cake or a cheat in general, or if I get stuck eating at someone's house (hard knocks lol) like fettuccine Alfredo or something I like to be sure I have some.

But there are all kinds of fibre options - benefibre seems to be popular too.

It's never one thing, that's why, but the more you add the more you cut your chances. I do think cinnamon can lower blood sugar so it's decent, but I'm thinking I read recently atomic say she'd rather see us avoid the cinnamon supplement and just naturally add in 1/8 tsp on coffees etc.
I can't speak to cal/mag... Just that it's not so popular these days.

I would get Benefiber! It completely dissolves and is tasteless! Wish I would have used this ages ago when I first began swaying!!! Way better than Metamucil!!

What's the recommended amount of fiber?

Follow directions on bottle, start off with lowest amount and you can work up over time (or not if smaller amount upsets stomach)

Use only with meals containing fat or fat soluble nutrients. we are trying to absorb some of them so your body can't use them.

The cal-mag results are SUPER misleading right now because they have lumped in the men taking it and also because people continue to take them even when they don't get pregnant (meaning that many of the people who took it, had 12 weeks or more on diet and thus higher results accordingly). If you look at the results comparing the diets, the "IG DIET" where every woman was taking mega high doses of cal-mag supps they only got 40% success for pink and the other diets where people were not always taking the cal-mag are much higher.

All I can say is I got a boy taking gobs of cal and mag and then got my girl without it and I know that's been the case for tons of others as well. If we all went back and entered our failed sways in our stats (from before this site was created) it would look a lot different but that would be manipulating the data. :)

Re cinnamon, I only advise that for people who need it and not for the population as a whole. It isn't meant for everyone to take.
