Got the Clomid

Ok mamas
So here's how it's shaping up. I have less than 3 months to conceive. now, or im out for almost a year.

My obgyn has given me Clomid. At his suggestion I can start taking it before AF comes since I'm on day 44,
Or I can calm my tits and wait til af comes and do either day 3 start or 5. He wasn't picky about when I start.
He also wants me to go get some tests and has given me the blood work sheets for that, but I have to wait til my cycle starts.
I am hoping that the tests aren't needed.
I fibbed about breastfeeding, and told him i weaned recently, and he asked if I was leaking milk and I said yes, bc he had said he wanted my prolactin levels checked.
Either way i have the scrip in my hand.
When should I start? I'm tempted to wait bc I figure Af MUST be here soon, But idk if it makes a big difference either way?

On another note, he found a polyp on my cervix, he removed that today - so that was fun.

I'd get a an ultrasound to mske sure you don't have follies developing already, if not then go ahead and start the clomid right away. Without a scan I'd definitely wait for AF and do 50mg CD3-7. Good luck! So glad you got some. :)

Based on your recent comment about EWCM after stopping Vitex I wonder if you might O soon. I started taking V continuously just after O and then the next cycle by CD21 (days past my average O time) I still hadn't Oed and light OPKs, so I stopped the V and Oed a week later. I resumed the V a few days after O and my next several cycles on V O occurred on its normal schedule. I normally have about 28-29 days cycles and I had NEVER Oed as late that cycle...until my current wacked cycle. If you click on my chart in my signature, you can see my past charts. My March 2014 cycle is the crazy V cycle. You can even see when I stopped and started taking V.

Yes the won't do a scan, but given that he doesn't have all the details, I am thinking I will wait until af.
When I get to a PC I'll check your charts; unless it's easy to link me up?
It's been I guess about a week since I dropped V; and now I'm hoping. My temps will be useless bc I can't get the uninterrupted sleep; and I can't take it at quite the same time. I hope to be better at it next cycle. Ds4 has a cold and it's caused some sleepless nights.

I would wait until after AF before taking it. You don't know if you are gearing up to ovulate, last month it was CD47 for me and I had no signs until a day or two before hand.

It is really hard waiting but taking it now could mess up your cycle even more and delay getting pregnant. Is is possible to get some provera to bring on AF?

I think you may have Oed. I would wait it out and take the Clomid when you get AF. I know how hard it is to TTC and have a set timeframe. I needed to make sure my due date was in Dec because DH always gets a two week break around Xmas. I wanted him to get to bond with the baby without the stress of his job and University.

Thank you xx - it IS hard being under the gun so to speak. I'm hoping to talk DH into having our window as described and then taking a month or 2 off and then going again for 2 months. Basically I have clients in June and then the fall. If I don't fall pregnant in that first window, and I don't book any summer brides I may just day "eff it" and take another attempt and be due July or August. I quite regret taking wedding clients. I should have stuck with newborn photography!

I swear to Gosh I answered this but don't see a reply, this was also my concern. If he didn't do an ultrasound or bloodwork to guarantee you are not about to ovulate, it could cause a lot of trouble to take it at the wrong part of the cycle.

My cycle might have started . Yesterday I spotted (which I don't usually) for juts a few hours (pink) and then it disappeared. Today it started again but then it went almost like lochia - it's very string mucous even though it's red. Do I call this day 1? I'm hoping by the end of the day it's Kurds normal.

Meeeee too. It's ridiculous! It's morning now here im Ontario and I had another mucousy pink bit and now nothing again. I wish I had of known about the provera shot to induce a period. I wonder if i just have no real lining to shed. I honestly feel like I'm on my period. Cramps, (increased drive too...) and my nipples are so sore. I really do wonder if my hormones are so out of whack and I didn't build much of a lining or at all.

It really sounds like you are going to ovulate with those symptoms. You can sometimes get some mid-cycle spotting. My nipples get sore around O and I also get really tender around my uterus area.

I had 20 days of spotting last cycle and then still had enough lining for a normal AF. My spotting was mixed with cervical mucous too so it wasn't like AF but did seem like more than just spotting so it was confusing. I had it again this cycle but only 12 days, both times I O'd a few days later.

Well, if there was no lining what they do is give you a little estrogen to build a lining and then the provera.

I have not known of anyone who needed the estrogen tho, except for one time and she was having lots of medical interventions. I agree with Purple usually you body has built up SOMETHING for the Provera t shed.

even when actively getting AF you are building lining! it happens even under the least ideal circumstances

I would take that as a positive and go for it!! Your chart will only tell you ovulation after it happens, sometimes it might give clues but its more useful for confirming that ovulation did happen since OPK+ just tells you it probably will happen.

Welp. I'm at ER with the baby. Idk what he did (or more likely what the 3 yr old did) but he won't stand or walk or crawl. I've been here getting X-rays

So no obvious breaks or fractures so we think it's just muscular but the only the ER doc looked at the X-rays; the cardiologist wasn't in, so if the ER doc missed something the radiologist will call . He's still not putting weight on it, poop bean. We can touch, bend, rotate the foot and leg but he will not step on it.
