Vitex help please atomic

I have been taking Vitex for almost 2 weeks as my cycles are all over the place, I planned on stopping for 2 weeks to see if it was or was not acting like a birth control pill, but I forgot to take if for 2 days now today would. Now today 3rd day cd 45 if I don't take it later today and I have started spotting so I think I will get my af tomorrow. Do you think the Vitex was acting like a birth control or do you think I might have got my af tomorrow even if I had taken the Vitex for the last few days! Or because I started taking it mid cycle (I think) could it have delayed my o and I'm spotting because of a break out bleed?

There's no way to know, especially if your cycles have been erratic to begin with. Time will hopefully tell. Temping would help, and OPKs. But spotting can occur for SO many reasons, so without more data I can't guess what's happening.

I order a bbt but I'm still waiting for it to arrive,
I usally only get spotting the day before af but I didn't get my af today and I'm on cd 46, I off to see a doc on Monday maybe they can help

Vitex can definitely delay O, and if you only started it mid-cycle it is probably the culprit. We usually say take Vitex from AF - O and stop a day or two before expected O if possible.

you can't tell having only taken it for 2 weeks. In fact I suspect maybe not because your cycle was unusually long to start with.

I absolutely recommend that you buy a cheap ovulation predictor kit off ebay. They are like 100 for under $20 shipped. Do not buy the other brand that they offer. They suck! lol Trust me, been there done that.
Watch your test line and when it's just about as dark as the control line stop taking it and wait (because Anchor is right.. it can and will hold back ovulation).. you'll get your positive opk, and or ovulate and then you don't want to take it again until you bleed and suspect your period starting up.
Vitex will rearrange your cycle. I even had regular cycles before choosing to take it but I couldn't get pregnant while breastfeeding and so I gave it a try, and both times taking it my cycle was changed for the better.. to sway pink in my opinion. :wink:
One more thing, I always start my TTC with Vitex with a pregnancy test just incase because you don't want to take it while pregnant, it can cause problems. I wish you the best of luck and you are welcome to visit my threads, as vitex has been my golden ticket! :) :HH: Good luck!!

Thanks for your help ladies,
I decided to start taking Vitex after my suspected o because I read it could take a while to work so thought sooner the better, I ordered opk from ebay but they didn't arrive in time for my last suspected o but I did used a couple last week just to see what they were like before I had the spotting but they were negative,like I thought they would have been did another opk when I had the spotting it was still negative, I did a pregnancy test about a week ago that was negative too and cd 47 still no af or spotting!
I'm not going to start any suppliments back up now until I get my af.
Would saw palmello mess up my cycle just like Vitex should you take them both or just one or the other?

SP can mess up O too and we don't have enough data to know if they work better together or taken separately.

I feel like, while I do believe they sway pink, they are so screwy-uppy that they would have to get sky high results to justify their existence, which they really aren't.
