View Full Version : Polyp on Cervix - anyone experience this

I had a polyp removed on Tuesday that he had tried to stop bleeding with silver nitrate but it didn't really work so we packed it with tampons (fun fun).
Anyways coincidentally the bleeding stopped what I feel was by 10pm, but certainly overnight, and then I had a trace of brown blood which made sense on the wed.
Thursday afternoon I start spotting - but pink/mucous spotting. It went away after a couple hours and was mild.
Friday I wiped red. I assumed it was AF starting, but then it went to an even mucousy-er texture, stringy like how your flow is as you heal from birth, Toward the end. Red but lots of mucous. That also died off in a few hours.

This is probably related to the polyp even though at times it seemed too much to be from a little wound, but if it WAS the cycle I've been waiting for (day 47 here) then I'm concerned What that could mean too.

I do still have cramps, and I do feel slight irritation at my cervix.

I know this is a long shot but if anyone has any experience with this type of procedure is be grateful to hear back. I will be getting it checked out tomorrow if it doesn't feel normal,

but in terms of my sway I was hoping to take my Clomid WITH my cycle and not ahead of it... Now I'm reconsidering. Looks like I could be waiting awhile.

I did not have the procedure to your extreme but I had a colposcopy done which is where they take paper thin samples with an awful pinching looks like a hole puncher device. (you probably had one too prior to removal unless they went straight at it) I bled all day and the next day had the same brown which was old blood from the scabbing over. Then it got really gross and it looked like I began passing something that looked like chicken skin or pieces of a condom (they did not tell me that would happen) Slightly pink and lots of mucous as the cervix repaired itself over the next few days. I was very crampy afterwards too for like a week. Its a trauma to the cervix and it needs a bit to heal up. And wouldn't you know... This was the BFP. Our attempt was right before and I tested negative before the procedure and 1-2 weeks later I got the BFP for the attempt made before it.

Nahri thank you! Sounds like our experiences are very similar; I think it's safe for me to assume that the spotting was from the procedure. And Ya they did go right at it since he found it unexpectedly while having a look in there just bc I was there in his office asking for fertility meds and such.

Oh shoot when I answered your other q I hadn't read this yet. Yes, it seems like this is leftover from the procedure. I have not had that done but have had pretty heavy bleeding from paps a couple times

Ya I do believe this is the procedure. It's gone except some mucous which i wondered if it was ewcm but idk. On my other post I show a opk that I randomly decided to take (after giving up for the month) and its dang close to a positive. So who knows!

Yes and now I wonder if the bleeding was a combo of yoru cervix softening and making CM, mixing with the leftovers from having the polyp removed. Hope your little guy is ok!!
