Thanks again girls. Princess of pink I want that thermometer lol. Happy heart what is a basal thermometer? Also I forgot to ask how do I go about using the thermometer as in when I take my temps first thing in the morning, when there's a temp spike does that mean I've ovulated or I'm about too? And when? So sorry for the bizarre questions I really have no idea. Tia

A basal digital thermometer will measure slight changes in your BBT. Your BBT is your temperature at rest, when you first wake up and before you sit up or get out of bed. Try and take it around the same time everyday. Before you ovulate you will get temps around 97.0 to 97.5 (my temps tend to be a bit more sporatic and sometimes closer to 96.0). Once ovulation has occurred your temps will go up ranging from 97.6 to 98.9. The day after ovulation your temp will jump up .02.

Now with all that being said... I am new to temping and I remember reading all that somewhere not too long ago!!! LOL... so I think that its basically the shift in your BBT that you can see when charting and it can definitely help while TTC. :) :)

Atomic shared the other day that if your temp stays elevated for 18 days that you are prego! VERY COOL! :) :)

I hope that this helps! :)

I ordered my BBT online with a bunch of opk's and preg. tests. I think it was $9. It's really sensitive and the ones I use for the kids isn't as sensitive.

So girls, would the temping be an ideal way to go for a 0+12 and ofcourse the physical vag secretion checks? I want to try the 0+12 route but with temping I would feel even more positive about it.

Yes, you'll need to temp to do an O+12 but aside from that you'll need to be a pro at checking CM and CP (temping for a few months will help you master that.)

In case you haven't seen them, here is the link to the how to O+12 essay: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?1292-O-12-Part-2-How-to-do-O-12
