potty shot 19 weeks 6 days...opinions?

was told girl by a private elective ultrasound at 16 weeks.

tech today at my 20 week anatomy scan said girl, typed girl, but i have two previous daughters so this potty shot is really throwing me off...around the 20 week mark the other two werent really swollen yet, they had 3 obvious lines and very 'flat' privates...and granted they did get puffier near the end but we're talking like 28 + weeks...

Would you be comfortable buying pink with this potty shot?25372

I must admit it doesn't look like my recent 20wk 'girl' potty shot which is exactly as you described your DD's, very flat, as in not even the slightest bulge. Hmmmm that shot would being throwing me for sure!! But I'm also NOT an expert.

Hmm my knowledge/experience is limited but whilst I may lean girl I would personally get another opinion if possible.

I would say girl. Both of my DS's at 20-22 week US their boy parts were MUCH bigger than the parts in this pic. I wish I still had one of the pics from DS2. One shot that was printed the penis was smaller than the pic from the potty shot. Not too small to think girl just small enough to make you think where is the sac?.

I would definitely have another US to be sure. I've been looking at other sites and I just don't feel like this is cut and dry. I showed my DH and he said would pay for an elective US if we had a shot like that.

It is your previous scan that makes me convinced of girl, so I will say girl, even though this pic is just not cutting it IMO. :shrug:

Interesting. Doesn't look like my girls potty shots. Maybe the angle is just super off?? Darn :( I would want another scan personally.

I have seen quite a few girl potty shots this one is not what Id expect. Maybe it's just caught at a bad angle - I'd get another opinion if I'm honest.

its boy potty shots like these that are throwing me off..i dont see very many girls close to my shot like these are.. (granted there are some that are sorta like the one i have..)

Ive seen some swollen girl shots but this one takes the cake. I still see 3 lines but darned if it doesnt look boyish! It could have been a bad angle, motion, little bit of cord getting in the way and so many other things. If a second opinion is in your future I definitely would for the sanity it would bring!

Bura, I'm so sorry you couldn't just rip off the band aid, and be done, but that you got this potty shot putting the band aid right back on :D Maybe you should post your 16 week scan too, so others can see that one? I'm super annoyed at your tech for giving you that "girly" potty shot. She could have given you a better one than that! I've never seen swollen labia that look that thin and long, but maybe the labia are just very squeezed between the legs, making them look long like that?

Okay claire is right... This is the 16 week ultrasound same baby..the thing is even though the 16 week scan looks cut and dry both techs really struggled to make their decision. It looks like babys legs are open wide in the 16 week one but when she showed more of baby baby had legs/ankles crossed... At 19 weeks the tech actually took a few minutes trying to get between babys legs....she told us she was having a hard time

Dang for some reason the vid isn't loading for me! I'll take another look later but if it were me I'd probably do another U/S. I'd say try being team green but I wouldn't be able to take my own advice if I was in your shoes!

It seems as if this baby is making things difficult for all involved, hiding it's parts like that during each scan :D I just can't see that 16 week shot turning into a boy though.
