I usually ovulate on cd 20 or there abouts. This cycle I had twinges but no real ewcm, then on cd 15 I had a bit of ewcm once and a dark but not positive opk. Up until this I had opk's getting darker in a fade in pattern. Then on cd 16, 17, 18, 19 I had very light opk's and have had no more ewcm. I was confused about when to bd so did it on cd 17 and probably was too late.
Do you think my bodies geared up to ovulate but not? I would normally ovulate tomorrow. Can the le make you ovulate earlier than normal?? I have also got bv (bacterial vaginosis) and don't want to start taking antibiotics (metronidazole) until I know I've definitely O'd as they may sway blue. I'm in limbo! We only bd'd that once as I was waiting for pos opk which I usually get :(

I don't know. I'd just DTD in an every 4 day pattern till AF seeing as things are going strange. I'd take the Antibiotics too. There is no evidence that they sway blue! Good luck xx

Antibiotics don't sway blue so if you need them, take them. It does sound like you may have ovulated although without temping it's impossible to say. In this case I would say continue to BD every 4 days to be sure :)

I have seen Atomic say that antibiotics can sway blue but that you should finish up antibiotics and not TTC for 2 weeks. Hopefully she will pop in! Good luck!

I'm confident that antibiotics alone won't ruin your sway. Idk if you o'd, im with the others on the every 4 day plan bc the tests are unreliable for me (the ones I have anyway)

Hmm, I think you have me confused with someone else. :) or maybe it was my answer that was confusing. Anyway, the old school sway people claimed they swayed blue but i have never seen any scientific evidence to indicate that they do. Plus, you need to take your medication that you need to get better.
I would either keep doing OPK or switch to every 4 day. I don't know for sure if you ovulated or not but it doesn't totally sound like it.

Thanks. I've carried on doing my opks although I haven't had any more ewcm and today's was darker than the last few days so I'm hoping I am just going to o later than usual this month. Fingers crossed !

So today's opk was dark again. A few days ago there was barely a second line. I'm confused. Can you get dark lines (but not quite positive) after ovulation or does it sound like I've not ovulated yet? Last cycle I had a very positive opk and then my period came 14 days later but I also had ewcm which I've only had on one day this cycle but my opk was negative. I'm wondering if weight loss has affected my ovulation :(

Ok I just retested and got a positive opk. We bd'd yesterday morning. I have no ewcm today or yesterday. Should I bd again just to be safe due to lack of ewcm or will the morning before positive opk be enough to give us a good chance? Ito only our second month so I may wait and see and then if it doesn't happen do it twice next cycle... Any thoughts?

The rate at which your tests go negative is not correlated to when you ovulate. you can absolutely get dark lines after ovulation. It is about how concentrated the LH surge got/became, how long it took to leave your system, and how concentrated your urine is.
I would stick with every 4 days and not any sooner between them than that...
