I've been taking Vitex for the last several cycles and next month is officially our first attempt. Wow, that flew by! Should I continue the vitex until we ttc or should I go ahead and stop it? I'm currently awaiting ovulation and this will be my last o before (hopefully) conceiving.

Have you been taking it from CD1- almost +opk? In other words taking a break for the 2ww and not starting it again until the first day of your period?

Atomic says to take until + OPK or CD 14, whichever comes first. So I think that's what I would do if I was on it.

I am TTC next month also!

Yes, I should've clarified that -- sorry! I am taking it 2 weeks on/off. My cycles have been extremely regular and if goes accordingly, I will o around the 19th of June! So when I start my period in two weeks, I should go ahead and continue the vitex until our attempt, correct? I just wanted some clarification because I read some posts where people were stopping a month before ttc and I didn't know if that was "the norm" or not. Thanks in advance!

I would continue taking it if you aren't being negatively affected by it.

We have seen some gals who took V nonstop for a month or two or more, then dropped it and got girls. This may sway pink but also has the potential to really muck up cycles.

Thanks, Atomic. I was pretty regular before, but since taking the vitex I am regular down to the hour with a 28 day cycle and o'ing on day 14. This has taken a lot of the stress out of tracking my cycle. I will continue taking it until our attempt then!
