I think I'm out this month as feeling like my period is on its way, cd 31 11 dpo & did a clear blue preg test this morning.....negative [emoji30] will give it another couple of days before u test again or period turns up.....thinking ahead for my next cycle I'd like to add vitex to regulate my cycles and hopefully shorten them, I'm sure this sways pink still but just wanted to double check??? I wouldn't take a Clear Blue test.. get a $1 test to test if you don't have time to order cheapies from ebay! :) You want to make certain that you are not pregnant before starting Vitex again. I even sometimes waited a couple days into my cycle to test even! :o

shorten them to what??? 31 day cycle is totally normal.

Vitex can actually mess up your cycle and make it longer so if your only motivation is a shorter cycle, that is not the way I'd go.

I'm on day 31 at the mo but my cycle is usually around 40 days, just thought vitex would shorten my cycle in the future

Oh I thought so, no I don't. I've been on birth control for 17 years so I'm only used to pill induced periods so when I do come off birth control my cycles seem to be quite long

Ah yes the birth control can really wreak havoc. NO vitex in this scenario, it can make it take even longer for things to normalize.

Vitex lowers hormone levels and the BCP can do the same so it's like throwing gas on a fire. Whereas with PCOS, that comes from basically having too high ov some hormones and thus lowering them a little can actually help. :)

Great, will give it a miss them and just stick to my folic acid and calcium [emoji106] this is only my first month off bcp and I know I ovulated but I'm guessing it will take a couple of cycles to get into the swing of things. Thanks for the info x

Not at all unusual esp. the first month or two. if it stays weird for longer than 3 months I'd head back to the doc and see if you can get Clomid, sometimes people who come off BCP need a bit of help getting things moving again and plus Clomid sways pink.
