I get heartburn pretty regularly and I have been taking tums, but I didn't think about the calcium in them. Looks like most chewable antacids have calcium in them. I was thinking about using bsd or asg, I know it isn't recommend for swaying anymore but would it help to use for antacid purpose while ttc blue?

Calcium is fine in a blue sway :) we don't limit calcium.

I'd keep doing the tums, I think that bsg and asg can cause rebound heartburn.

ARe you doing ACV?? That has aggravated heartburn for some people.

My advice would be to use something like Zantac or Pepcid to help with acid production at the source if you're really not wanting to do the calcium. There is some pretty mixed data on whether calcium sways and when you're swaying blue, it's actually impossible to lower the level of calcium in your body. all that happens is your body takes it from your bones and teeth and undermines your future health. Levels of calcium stay the same and any claims to the contrary are not true. So I'd go ahead and use Tums if htey work for you. I got 4 boys with a high calcium intake and the last two I was taking calcium supplments, then got my girl without them!
