I'm not planning to ttc until next September but, since I have a lot of weight to lose, I am starting a low calorie diet now. I am about 40 lbs overweight at 170 lbs and 5 feet tall. I want to hopefully get to the 130s before I ttc (my lowest adult weight was 134.. I was 141 when I concieved both of my boys).
I'm trying to keep my calories between 1200 and 1500 a day and I'm not focusing on nutrients right now intensely, but I am sort of trying to practice for doing the LE diet that I plan to start in a little less than a year to prepare for my girl sway.
So far today I think I've done all right if I were trying to go LE.
Macros are 45% carbs, 19% protein, 35% fat
Breakfast was 3 doughnut holes
Lunch was a turkey and shredded lettuce wrap with a Monster energy drink
Dinner was a salad with a sprinkle of cheddar cheese, a medeterranian chickpea veggie burger for protein and a Light Greek yogurt and a cup of coconut water
I will probably have a bit of chocolate for a snack after work. I am at 1000 calories so far according to myfitnesspal and have burned 416 in exercise

This all is probably a bit boring, but I'd sort of like somewhere to be held accountable so I don't slip into my old pizza and burrito frenzy. :worry:
Plus maybe my diet could be of some assistance to someone looking for advice in the same boat as I am!
Anyone else waiting to ttc and have some weight they are trying to lose first? We could keep each other motivated!

That is very much what I'd recommend you do - focus on losing the weight first and then you can deal with the LE Diet at a later time.

I think it is best if you aim for 1500-1800 and you can always cut bck. Never drop below 1200, that is a no-no. REmember, we are trying to lose weight in a relatively healthy way to make sure we are able to get and stay pg after this!

are you getting at least 40-50 g protein?? I usually recommend 50-60 for people who have more than 15 lbs to lose.

It says I'm at 49g of protein so far.
Thanks for the advice!
