I tried to do my cardio today and I managed 30 mins before the heat became to much for the boys and I. The whole week is supposed to be just as hot, and hotter some days, with thunder storms on several days... Is something better than nothing? I just can't see how I will be able to do 6-7 days this weeks, much less an hour a day and I am worried it will hurt my sway as I don't see it getting a lot better... summer is freaking hot. period. :( Wish I still had a working VHS player. I have a video that I always loved doing and I have yet to find it on DVD. *sigh* Input? Advice?

I am in Florida and it is super hot during the summer too!!! I believe if you can't commit to the full 60 min 6-7 days a week than nothing at all is better for pink.

So basically an all or nothing scenario? I'm hunting down the dvd of the VHS I have.... I found it in a collection set... a $200 collection set... but so far coming up short handed. I look for it periodically hoping to find it but so far no luck :(

If you've been doing 6-7 days 60 min a day or so and have a week where you can't get it done, that is ok. But if you're just starting out it may be better to just let it go, doing no exercise has worked for people too.

which has better odds and by how much? I'll get a different DVD if I must, if it's better. I am just looking for a certain one because I always enjoyed doing it. It didn't feel like a chore because it was fun. I am still working on painting... if I go the no exercise route does that mean I have to stop painting too? I want the best odds I can get. I know I have a lot working for me with the clomid and such but I still want to do the best I can. That way when it's all said and done if we get a boy I'll know I did all I could and it just wasn't meant to be.

I'm not sure how doable it is for you, but we have a family YMCA membership and I love it. I use the treadmill for an hour and the littles go to the daycare. Honestly, if it weren't for that there wouldn't be any way i could do cardio because it's unbearably hot here in Texas right now. Bleh!

Well we used to have a membership but no daycare for workout... they had daycare for working parents but it was something like a 3 hour minimum. We have a membership at anytime fitness but they don't have a day care either and DH works from 5a-7p 6 days a week. If I workout THAT late Ill never get to sleep. Insomnia is an issue most days as is, but I learned a long time ago that if I want a chance to get to sleep before 3-4 am not to do anything active after 5 because it wakes me up better than a cold shower and it takea hours to wind down again.
I think I may have found the dvd I have been hunting. It looks like it could be the right one but the cover looks nothing like the vhs cover did or the cover in the collection set. It's an anniversary edition so that may be why though. I was just about to do a search to see if there is a way to know for sure its the right one... a bigger pic of the stage on the front cover maybe? I don't know but I am about 85% sure its the right one.. just trying to be positive before I buy. I don't need another cardio dvd I hate doing. :/

It's it!!! Took me like 30 secs to type in the name into YT (my vhs has been in storage for years. I knew the name but not the #) and it pulled up a clip and there it is! I have been looking for ages and never found #3, only the other ones which I could tell weren't it by the songs. I've worked out to it so many times I have the songs and moves memorized lol. Yay!! I bought it. It should be here by the 16.
Given the time constraint it may still be better to "do nothing" for the first cycly... what do you think? It's due to arrive the 16th. AF is due the 20th... with clomid in the mix I have no idea when I'll O. Following my usual pattern it'd be around the 12th or later... but I really don't know when to expect O. I am hoping to O earlier (CD 15 or 16 would be great as a BFP would be an awesome present to get... even if it's a couple days late :D ). The absolute earliest I've ever O'd is CD 16 which would put O on July 5th. Basically anytime between the 5th and that 17th has a high possibility of O based on my cycle history. The later, the higher the possibility. So, should I sit this cycle out, so to speak, or just start when the DVD arrives?
ETA: what about AF week and cardio? I have pretty heavy AFs unfortunately and the more active I am the heavier they get so I have always taken the first 3-4 days of AF off on any workout regimin. I know atomic said one week won't hurt if I have been doing it for awhile but I am trying to plan out from now until my next O. AF is is due in a week, only 4 days after I get the dvd. So I am looking at being able to do up to 4 days, off 3-4 days, then on again anywhere from 2 weeks to a month... If I need to sit this cycle out, when do I start it for the following cycle? After O? Would that make conception any less likely? I could really use some advise on what is best. I want to do this right but I am worried I'll make the wrong choice :( TIA.

I'd do nothing at all until you can commit to the full 60 min daily. Don't worry too much about missing days bc of AF, especially as you may find that your AF gets lighter/shorter on the diet or on clomid. Doing daily cardio is definitely better odds than the couch potato route, especially if you have multiple boys already, but both work. What you want to be sure to avoid is 30min only some days bc that actually sways blue.
What dose of clomid will you be on, what CDs will you take it?

Sounds good, though if you O late (past CD17) on 50mg, I'd adk for 100mg the next cycle. Or a switch to Femara.

Exercise has been a great tactic for us. I cannot really pin it down if it is REALLY that much better than no exercise + strong diet though, because at least some of the people who don't exercise were not real committed in other ways...the two groups are NOT random samples, if that makes sense.
No, you do not need to stop painting. I want you guys to continue living your lives and so on. It ~may~ be extra beneficial for you to do exercise though because you are doing the painting, BUT as long as you're ok on diet you are good to go.

My second cycle, if I don't get preg the first cycle, they want to do a follicle study. Not sure why but that is what they said and I can't deny I am curious myself. They may not bump me up until after that... I don't know. Last time I was on it I took 50 mg and always O'd CD 20+... about the same as I do anyway. We'll see how it plays out though.
I don't know that I could afford Femara. I hear it is expensive. My ins says they don't cover any fertility pills but then my $20 clomid script only cost me about $6 so they obviously covered part of it. Since I don't know if they will cover Femara I wouldn't even ask my doc about it unless I know I could afford it w/o coverage because if he writes me a script for that then he won't write me a script for clomid, then if I can't afford the Femara I don't have anything.

As you know I am struggling a bit with the diet portion. Does exercise make a stronger sway when your diet is less than perfect? Or will I have to add more fat, carbs, cals etc which is already hard to do and keep in balance?

We are veering into the land of the crystal ball where there are options that I honestly don't know what is best. There is the risk with starting exercise that it may make your T (or whatever) go up temporarily before dropping back down again. But really, we do not even KNOW that testosterone sways, and even if it does sway, if the exercise is swaying pink because of hormones or something else entirely.
The Clomid is such a great sway tactic, I think you should just do what feels right to you and rely on the Clomid to carry the day. :)

:agree: yes diet and exercise work very much in concert, and I feel people who are iffy on diet are well advised to exercise, and if you really can't exercise, try to stay good on diet. But if there is a risk that you may lose too much weight doing both, it's better to just pick one or the other.
FWIW I got my DD without exercise.

No, no chance of that lol. Like I said I have more than a few pounds to lose and I have been stalled for months plus my last preg I gained 5 pounds in the short time I was preg that I can't shake :( Weight loss is NOT a concern for me... not even at the bottom of the list lol. I tend to gain a lot when preg (60 pounds- all within the last trimester- with my first, 40 with my second and I didn't quite make it to 21 weeks with him and I think about 15-20 with my third the whole preg) so the lower I start the better off I am... I hope lol.

I definitely think you should request 100mg then.
If you're struggling with the diet, I'd focus most on 1. Not snacking, max 3 meals a day, 2. Keeping overall fat low and eating more pink fats, less blue fats, 3. Keeping portions small-moderate.
