what exercises do you do? I'm not much of a work out person, but when I do I like weightlifting. I think things like zumba are silly. what kind of exercises am I supposed to be doing? does walking count? or does it have to be intense?

Walking does count, apparently. Just make sure it's enough to get your heart rate up. When I was swaying I used the exercise bike and the elliptical trainer. Seemed a little boring at times, but not so bad if you turn the music up, or turn the TV on to pass the time x

One hour on the treadmill. I do running intervals, but some days I walk.

Cardio DVD (sweatin' to the oldies) . I don't really like zumba either. Key thing ANY time you plan start a workout program is to find something you enjoy or you'll not keep it up for long, but especially with swaying! If you can only tolerate it 3-4 times a week you'll HATE doing it 6-7 days a week. Just find something that gets your heart pumping that you enjoy :) For example you can bring your son in on the fun and play with him (wear him out good for nap time ;) ). Chase him, then let him chase you... "race" him (obviously the point is to be active, not to win because it'd be an easy win and he'd get bored lol. As long as it gets your heart pumping and you can stand to do it for an hour a day 6-7 days a week then it works :) HTH.

I also bought an exercise bike and tend to do it when ds is in bed to a film or to. It is boring though and I' can't say I enjoy it!

I use a stationary bike. I watch Vampire Diaries and crochet while I do it to pass the time.

Walking does count!! Anything that gets your blood pumping and goes for an hour without stopping or snacking in the middle!

This might be stupid but I don't have any gym equipment like a treadmill or bike or anything but I do have stairs in my house. What of I just ran up and down the stairs over and over? Is that dumb?

Tbh, I think you would get incredibly bored with that really fast and probably risk injury. Are there any trails nearby that you could walk for an hour? Personally, I opt to go to the YMCA and use their daycare, but I understand that may not be feasible.

Not dumb at all and is actually one of my favorite things to do for exercise.
Do be aware that with a pink sway, stairs can build muscle in the thighs and tush and so be SURE you're ok on diet. A boy-friendly diet + steps could potentially build muscle mass and inadvertently sway somewhat blue.

It's actually not that bad depending on where your steps are - I just listen to music while I do it. If your steps are super steep probably not the best idea but normal steps you're used to should be ok for most.

I didn't think of that. What is the connection to muscle mass and swaying boy? I've heard that one before, but I don't understand it.

There is a study that shows in times of famine, women with the most muscle mass still had boys even at lower weights.
The theory is that testosterone comes from muscle and more testosterone = more boys. But really, we honestly don't know how it works and it may very well be the case that in times of famine, the women who are able to maintain the most muscle mass because they were in better health/condition or had more food than others (even in a famine, some have more than others). So that is one thing that while we do take into consideration, no need to dwell on overly much.
