Things that make me feel great about my sway:
I feel like I did everything that I could do. I was pretty strict on my diet and exercise. My timing was spot on.. not sure what else I could of done to entice a pink swimmer!!
Things that make me nervous about my sway:
The fact that I already have 4 boys and just feel that I am prone to boys. Also that it happened so quickly, 1 attempt in the 1st month trying....
Things worth mentioning:

Thanks Tiff ;) This is my first girls sway - never tried it before. We were happy with 3 boys, then #4 came along as a surprise baby and I hoped for a pink one.. but he was a little blue spunk :) So that got my pink wishing happening and now here I am hoping for her xx

Sadly this pregnancy did not last. I miscarried and had a D & C.
I have just found out that it was a BOY and also that it had Trisomy 16 - hence the miscarriage.
There is that old saying 'everything happens for a reason' - even if we don't like the reason, I guess it is right. :sadflwr:

I was trying again, but as I am a bit taken aback about the results, I am not so sure now.... We will see xox

So sorry this happened Immi. Your sway was awesome too! I'm not sure you could have done anything different. In the end it just comes down to whichever sperm makes it first and we really can only do our best to change the odds. Big hugs honey xx. You want to do HT?

September 8th, 2015, 04:15 AM
Thanks Covered xox I actually have already done HT back in March :( I got 5 eggs, they all fertilised but none made it to testing. I am worrying that those 5 eggs were no good, and now this one.... Not sure if I should tempt fate again. I don't want to give up, but I don't think I could do another miscarriage either.
I know, my sway was so solid, there really isn't much else I could of done. I have stopped the cardio as I found it very hard and time consuming. I actually got my 1st clomid script filled today and need to start it today if I am going to ttc this month... I feel like my head is spinning with what to do. Maybe I really am best at boys :bluesperm:

I'm thankful for you ladies on here to be around to help out with advice and any knowledge that you can pass on xox

Thanks Ash xox
I was very shocked about the Trisomy 16 part - I wasn't really shocked about the boy part though - the 5th time I have heard 'boy', so I am kind of used to that :/

I'm so so sorry for your loss Immi. What a shock that must have been. I think you should do whatever you feel is right in your heart. Please take some time for yourself and allow yourself to heal before stressing too much about what to do next. You may have a clearer idea about what is right for you after a few weeks have past. (((HUGS)))

Oh Immi, I'm so sorry to read this about the trisomy 16 - as you say, everything happens for a reason and the body knows what it is doing. I know that the majority of early miscarriages happen because of genetic issues, and it worries me thinking about mine and what went on (as I mentioned, being in the UK I will never know as they never test anything!!!) and whether it might happen again. I just have to trust and hope and pray that it won't and that is my prayer for you. Sending big hugs xxx

Thanks ladies xox

I asked my OB if this would increase my chance of it happening again and he said 'No'. He said that I still have the 1/500 (approx.) chance of it happening again the same as anyone else and that just because it happened once doesn't mean it increases my risk etc. Of course he couldn't say that it wouldn't happen again but he thought it would be unlikely. So - a 'little' bit of relief....

I'm so sorry for your loss and sorry about the trisomy :( usually trisomies are rare and I highly doubt it will happen to you again. We lost our first baby when I was 13 weeks pregnant, he had a trisomy 21. After that I've been very scared if I ever have healthy children but here I am with two lovely and healthy boys.

All the best to you and your family!
