I have gotten the go-ahead today to further wean myself off my 50mg Zoloft. I saw before that this med may help a pink sway but obviously shouldn't be taken in pregnancy. By my calculations I should be finished the meds about a week or so before our first attempt, I have extra meds he prescribed me in case I don't feel ready to finish.

Actually, all the SSRIs, especially at low dose like in your case, are pretty safe while pregnant, though it's your call as to what you feel comfortable with. Taking them up until BFP then weaning off is certainly safe, and does sway pink, so I'd at least do that without worries.
I'm going back on Prozac (was on max dose for years, I'll just do 60mg this time) next week and I will stay on it until my BFP then wean.
The therapeutic effects of SSRIs usually linger to an extent for weeks to months after you go off them, bc of semipermanent brain changes. So I imagine the pink sway effect lingers as well. How much and how long depends on the exact SSRI, dose, and individual in question.

Thanks maiden :) I think I will wean more slowly then, I didn't want to come off them entirely until at least after our holiday at the end of August just in case theres any negative effects. My GP said there was no issue getting pg while still on them but I saw a locum doc a few weeks ago and she said I should be off them several weeks before ttc and it just confused me. I don't want my anxiety to flare up in the ttc period so its probably better to keep them in my system for the moment!! :)

Like everything there are doctors that are more conservative and others who ren't.
I believe the effects (for pink) do linger in the system even after stopping so do what is going to work best for you and what you are most comfy with.
