View Full Version : Just curious, Vit D and sway

There really isn't much I can do to change my exposure as the work has to get done and it is too blasted hot to cover up and I sweat the sunscreen off seemingly in minutes because despite using it several times throughout the day I still end up very burnt(2-3 times in last 2 weeks.. 1 time weekend before last, then this past weekend I got burnt on Saturday and made it worse on Sunday), but I was curious how much of an affect sun exposure, Vit D, has on a sway. As atomic says, swaying needs to fit into your life and not the other way around so whatever will be will be but I am just curious if it has a strong sway toward boy or if it is just one of those things that is best avoided because it is thought to sway boy. This will likely only affect this cycle as I am hoping that we will be done with all the work we are doing outside long before next O, and I am a definite home-body who hates bugs so indoors is my friend lol. So once the work is done, short of mowing the lawn I'll be inside, lol.

When I got preg with my DS#1 hubby and I (fiance then) would walk all over town because we lived in such a small town that walking was literally the only entertainment, lol. DS#2&3 I don't recall getting much sun exposure. Mostly the occasional walk and the usual exposure of running around town doing errands, going to work, etc. With my DD my exposure was similar to DS 1&2 when at home BUT I was taking high doses of D3 per doctor's orders and part of my job was outdoors (I took care of a severely autistic girl who absolutely LOVED going to the park) and my commute to and from school was 30 mins each way so lots of exposure there. My point is that my experience hasn't shown a strong influence but I am just one person so I was curious, bigger picture wise, how much of an affect it seems to have.

TIA.

Spring and summer are good girl months so I don't think natural vit d from the sun would be an issue at all. I also had my girl living in Cali getting the most sun out walking everyday vs my boys born up north and not getting as much sun:)

Also, I know it's early but to save everyone another thread in about a week if BFN I have another question.

What, if anything, should I change next cycle if BFN?

I am doing the LE diet and I've been doing exercise but I think I am going to switch to couch potato for next cycle because unless I O earlier next cycle I won't be able to do the whole cycle with exercise as I am gearing up to go back for fall term in school and I will be carrying a heavy course load, plus helping kids with homework and taking care of the house... there just aren't enough hours in the day lol. We are doing no female O also. This cycle we did 50 mg Clomid 3-7, but I am not sure what my doc is going to want to do for next cycle. Honestly we are doing a really relaxed sway! Oh, and also we are doing BD E4D. This cycle we landed with a O-1 on timing. So is there anything we should change at this point?

Well just got my blood work back and my vit d is low, everything else good. She wants to prescribe high dose for 6 weeks to get me up. Now what to do? Atomic?

I do think it sways pretty strongly, but I am not convinced that sunlight matters much if at all and I also think the rules are very different when you're already deficient.

More girls are conceived around the equator than in northern latitudes so I would just try to avoid D supps and live your life.

Sitting in a dark room staring at a computer obsessing about swaying (not saying you are doing that, but some people do) sways way, way beyond any potential hypothetical risk of sunlight. :)

Sorry, just saw your reply. Thanks for the info.

BTW, I sent you a PM a few days ago. Not trying to rush you just wanted to make sure you got it..

I got a lot of sway plans this month and I am behind on my PM's, I'm sorry. I'll get to it as soon as I can.
