I know this topic has been asked before and I know most people on here believe IUI sways boy.
Just thought I ask people who have done IUI or know of someone who has done it what the gender outcome was.
I am going for my first IUI this cycle and am curious.

Thanks

A girl for me! Although I was wanting to get pregnant so bad that dh and I dtd 36 and 24 hours before the IUI. That may have impacted it.

TMost people who do IUI are doing it for male factor infertility and/or because of a lack of EWCM in the cervix. Those couples are more likely to conceive daughters to begin with. Stats are misleading on this one.

It is always possible to conceive a boy or a girl with any method. If you have to do an IUI that's fine and you should't worry about anything I or anyone else says about it. I just don't want you guys doing an IUI that you don't need, that's all.

Thanks Atomic.
We are doing it not bc of male factor fertility issues. My doctor thinks it will help us given my AMH and FSH results.
We tried 2 cycles of femara with TI and it ended up in bfn.
I'm running out of patience and at this point will go for anything.

We had unexplained infertility with all of our test results coming back normal. I felt like dh had a lower count than what I had read on message boards but the doctors said it was normal.

I was leading a very girl friendly lifestyle though. I only did cardio, never lifted weights. I actually only ate fruit until noon because I read that would help me get pregnant(?!?) and not much of it at all.

I didn't snack on any nutritious food, usually just simple carbs.

I did an IUI and had my DS. I used an sperm donor
Three friends of me did IUIs too, with sperm donor, and one was pregnant with twin boys, one with one singleton boy and one with a girl.

I remember, HG, I am just explaining why this (or any studies/stats except for those done on fully fertile couples, of which I'm aware of only one) is not necessarily going to be telling you anything. Wishing you the best of luck and hoping that it is the solution for you.

Quinn31 I'm assuming you had a girl?

I did. Look at the post right under your initial one. Dh and I dtd before my IUI which may have affected me getting a girl.

It's easy to miss posts, I didn't want to retype it but it took the same amount of time for me to tell you I already posted. That's my logic!!

Quinn31 would you happen to remember if your IUI was 24 or 36 hours after trigger?
Looks like they want to do 24 hours after trigger for me.

Oops sorry. Missed this. Mine was 24 hours. The IUI was Sunday morning. Dh and I dtd on Friday evening, Saturday morning (when I went in for my trigger/ultrasound they were nervous I might O that day so we dtd to be safe), then I went in Sunday for the IUI.

I don't think I O'd on Saturday. That particular dr said it to me every time and said it to other people. We think she wanted us to get back to back IUI's for more money.
