I've read a few positive sway stories about this supplement and I'm wondering whether it's something worth trying?

I have hormonal acne which flares up around ovulation particularly so I'm guessing it's linked with a rise in estrogen but apart from that nothing. My cycles are quite regular but fairly long at 33-34 days but they've always been this long. I don't want to take anything that may mess my cucle up. Any insights?

I'm on cycle 2, but added it in this last month. My O was delayed two days, but I'm not sure if I can put that on the myo or just swaying in general. Other than that nothing negative to report!

This, like cinnamon, is a supplement that is NOT MEANT for everyone to take. Not everything in the stats is appropriate for every person.

33-34 day long cycle is NOT fairly long.

What you guys have to understand is that the experimental supps are just that - an experiment. They may not be right for everyone and for the "wrong" peopel they may actually undermine your sway. I prefer (strongly) to first take the "chance" on people who can actually benefit from the supps (like in this case those with severe PCOS) and not just sddenly start using things willy nilly with no evidence on how these things sway and if they are even safe.

Please quit looking for the magic bullet and just do what has worked for most people, most of the time. Diet longer than 12 weeks, exercise, one attempt. I know it's not as "sexy" as a magic pill that we can take but it's the best way we've found so far.

I want to add my experience here with myoinositol for those that may be new to the site.

I took myoinositol for years for a seizure disorder that I had. When I began to sway last June, I read a study suggesting that this helped with egg quality and helped to lower blood sugar in women with insulin resistance and who were older than 30. I thought great, this is perfect for me! So I upped my dose from 500mg twice a day to taking the suggested dose in the study of 2000mg twice a day. My cycles began to get wonky, and I didn't think much about it at the time, since DS2 had begun to wean himself. After five months of actively TTCing, I made an appointment with an RE because my cycles had become very strange (I didn't put two and two together yet, I'm dense [emoji6]).

Long story short, my FSH was sky high, 45, and my AMH wasn't even detected! I had to take Vitamin D, Zinc, and Coq10, and when that didn't work I went on Atomic's fertility diet and added acupuncture to the mix. I did more research and found out that the mechanism of which myoinositol works to regulate ovulation in women with insulin resistance and PCOS (these women often ovulate very irregularly) is by increasing FSH! If women with normal cycles take this in the suggested amount, it will wreck havoc on your hormones!!

PLEASE only take this if you have PCOS, your doctor has recommended you take it, or Atomic feels it is necessary! I don't want anyone to go through what I went through!!

Sorry for the long post!!

Hi Bobster, I was taking myoinosital, 5g in water daily, when I got my (oops) BFP. I actually wasn't taking this for a sway or anything to do with conception (we were however planning on doing HT at HRC in May) I was taking this for hormonal/natural anti-depressant properties that I had researched specifically from a Dr here in Aus. I found it very helpful but I wasn't 'depressed' in the true form I just felt like, at that time, I had the weight of the world on my shoulders with 'should we give HT a go' or 'do I give up my DD'. I spent many, many hours, daily questioning what we should do. Turns out she found her way to our family all by herself :-)))

Probably not helpful with your sway question, sorry, but wanted to share my experience taking it.

Are you kidding me??? I literally had no idea. I've been taking it for a year and my last 6 cycles have been all over the place! I kind of put it up to my old age. I'm gonna try dropping it, thanks XX!

Please do!! I had normal fertility before I upped my dose from 500mg twice daily to 2000mg twice daily. I highly doubt breast feeding 3 times a day caused my hormone levels to be what they were.

I would try dropping it especially if your FSH is high. How it regulates ovulation is by increasing FSH.

And we know that Atomic's fertility diet works too! I switched over immediately to it and conceived exactly three months later (12 weeks), which is the optimum time needed on a diet to make hormone/maternal condition changes!!!

Coincidence- I don't think so!!!
