Possible UTI

Hey ladies,
I am gearing up to ovulate in the next few days we have dtd for the past 4 days. I think I have an uti. Will the antibiotics effect my sway? Should I wait until after I actually ovulate. Any advice would be appreciated

Antibiotics sway blue and it takes 6 weeks to get them out of your system.

If you need them I think you should take them and skip this cycle. It might not be the best idea to start the antibiotics during 2WW.

Or maybe try with teas and alternative cures for UTI?
I know for sure uve ursi folium ( I wrote it in Latin, I couldn't find English translation) is powerful tea against urinary infections with antiseptic and diuretic effects.
Also cranberry products :agree: or some other herbal products.

Hi ladybug! Hope all is going well for you.

If at all possible I would wait until after I ovulate and then let the doc know that you may be pg and they will prescribe you a safe one. Try drinking a lot of liquid (not TOO much, just some extra) eating garlic, and taking probiotics for now and see if it clears up on its own.

PS here is a link to more about uva ursi...we call it kinnickinick or "bearberry" (I've never heard it called that, only kinnickinick). I have heard it's good for UTIs too.

It may not be good to take during pg so just be aware of that.

Well I got a script for antibiotics but I did tell him I *may be pregnant. It's too late to skip this month cause I really think I am going to o tomorrow. I will try to wait to start them but the pain is pretty bad. He gave me meds safe to take while pregnant. Whatever will be, will be I guess. Thanks ladies!

I had a UTI. A week before my attempt with DD2 took antibiotic think it sways blue but noooppp not with me, I had a perfect sway that cycle and still got my DD

Thank you so much for telling me that!!!! The pain is really bad and hubby was really mad cause I was going to wait to take them....So I started them today....I have done everything thing else I possibly could....I will not be dtd for the next couple of days, so I guess all I can do is wait and see what happens.....Tons of blue dust to you!!!

This is what I do....Start taking ACV- put one tblsp in a glass of water with a 1/4tsp of baking soda. Drink this every 2 hours. Alternate with Cranberry juice. It's amazing.....it totally cures a UTI in just a day most times.

I took 1 pill last night and feel relief already...I am suppose to take them for 7 days but I dont think I will...Everything else lined up perfect this month....I am really getting tired of the diet and just wanna get pregnant....My mom is not doing well these days and I really want this to happen quick....Feeling frustrated at this point...I also think I am going to get a yeast infection from the antibiotics cause I usually do....Grrrrr....
