Hi two I would wait and see what next couple days temps are and go from there in relation to disturbing. As for thermometer and/or opks if it was me I'd pack them just in case. I'd likely find a way to opk test to (like do it during morning shower so you can hide cup in clothes/towel and have a reason for being in there so long). I'm only saying what I would do in your shoes as being on clomid 2nd month I'd like to have some comparison even if opks ended up all negative etc and temps stayed same, to me this would be less stressful then not knowing and having that gap. As you said though you are going in for follicle study so.... I don't know what to suggest other than what I would do lol :) hth but doubt it does ha e a lovely weekend away :)

So after 4 days of flashing smileys I am expecting my solid smiley in morning (cd12). I have oed cd13 a few times and cd14 once in the last 8 months or so?. Its my first cycle monitoring cervix and its feels high and soft. Dh starts night shift tomorrow so if we do bd it'll be in morning while ds2 hopefully has a sleep and ds1 will hopefully happily watch a dvd. That's alot of hope :( So thinking may as well bd late tonight on the off chance I o tomorrow sometime and because being able to bd tomorrow is abit in the air?? Maiden once said 2 days b4 o was better for one attempt anyway?? Wish I'd ask her why now lol as I've always thought day b4 was best. Anyway gotta work with what you've got right?

Afm, I had to temp earlier than usual today because of our trip but my temp only dropped .05°. This cycle is so different from last cycle! It's crazy!

Mommamia - yay cycle buddies! :) I had no symptoms this month on Clomid besides really painful ovulation. I worried I wouldn't O too since I didn't feel anything leading up to it. I'm also starting a new job in a few weeks! I am super nervous about getting pregnant and feeling crappy, especially as my job is mentally and emotionally exhausting at times, and I need to be on the ball, not puking in the bathroom haha. Maybe you being around kids will make your body wake up to have one!
Two- I like that you're less stressed this cycle. I agree I was so anxious and high strung last cycle that I knew it couldn't be good. I as much more relaxed this cycle about it all and I'm going to stop temping after my confirmed O. Swaying adds so much more pressure to TTC and I happen to feel boy swaying is so much easier than girl so I can understand how stressed you guys are about it.
Hitme- welcome back! I was wondering about you - glad to see you're less stressed! I agree with you that O looks like CD17, and you timed it perfectly! Haha on the full moon...I'm hoping that damn blue moon is good news for me! FX for you and a BFP!
Lauren - keep testing! You absolutely could O right around the corner. I O'd last cycle CD17 with +OPK cd15. This time my + didn't come until cd17. Good luck!
Kperez- thanks for the reassurance. 💕 There were definitely some tears, even though I told myself I wasn't going to be upset because I knew it was a strong possibility he wouldn't be able to. We just aren't 19 and 20 any more! 😝
Boys - ahhh thank you so much for the reassurance and hope! I kept telling myself we did get a good attempt in that morning so we had our bases covered. Hoping that it pays off for us! And we got in a good attempt this morning too, just in case that eggie was hanging out waiting still.
FX for all of us a less stress month and BFPs! Now...just in time for symptom spotting. 😜 I kid, I kid.
No problem love!!!! My dh gets that problem a lot since the older we get, the more responsibility and detracting things come into play.

5 dpo (6 according to FF) and the cramps are starting, just like last cycle. I hope im wrong but I won't be wasting and tests this cycle testing early.
My kid woke up at 6 and went outside in our backyard. I woke up to him shrieking at my dog. We're fenced in but I was still livid. He can open any kind of door and now I'm going to have to call a lock smith the have a special lock installed in the patio door.
Anyway, all this caused me to take my temp not at the idea time. And it was really low. Above the cover line, but not far up.
Two Id bring a small stack of the paper Dixie cups and put them in my bag with my toothbrush. You really never know if you'll o earlier and it would drive me more crazy not knowing, especially if you have been testing all along. Ykwim? I guess it depends on what would make you more at ease.

The shower thing is a good idea but only usable on Sunday....maybe. We stay with them every year (it is a family reunion they do annually) and it is always the same. I HATE their shower. You get like 2 mins of hot water and then it's like ice. I could shower in that time if I have to but I can't shave that fast. Plus their tub is slick as snot. So, because of all that, I always shower before we leave on Friday, skip Saturday and only shower on Sunday if I have to.... basically if I feel gross I'll take a speed shower but if I don't I just wait and take one as soon as I get home. I gete your point about comparison but I just don't know if it is worth the headache. Especially when last cycle my OPKs were nothing but confusion until just before O when they finally went back to being stark white until my LH started to build for O. I might take one, just in case I can find a way to sneak a test on Saturday. I can test when I get home on Sunday. My therm will stay here. I don't intend to make a point of temping over the weekend this cycle anyway unless I get my surge on or just before the weekend. Plus, we inevitably leave something behind every year (last year we left my phone charger  ) and if I accidentally forgot my therm I'd have to buy another and I JUST bought the one I am using a couple weeks ago. Thanks for the input though.
As far as disturbing my temp, the answer isn't any clearer today. My temp yesterday was 98.04* F. Today is was 97.93* F, so still in my high post-O territory. It is really bizarre lol. I keep wondering, if my temps stay this high, how high they will be post-O!

The earliest I have ever O'd was CD 13 but that was 8 years ago and only one cycle, so O'ing that early is not out of the realm of possibility but highly unlikely. Usually an early O for me is CD 15-19, but much more often I O CD 20+ with my avg being CD 25.

Crud, I didn't finish my message lol.
We went through an issue a few years back. Scared me to death. My youngest woke up before anyone else and decided to take a stroll outside. Thankfully I woke up soon after and got him back inside, but it scared me to death. We put one of those hook latches with the spring "thingy" (http://images.lowes.com/product/converted/008236/008236592443.jpg) on our door. The boys are old enough now that they don't try to sneak out and back then they couldn't figure out how to unhook a hook latch with the spring.

Well, I'll keep my :fingers: for you!
Yeah, I am SUPER curious what is going on in there. Hoping it might shed some light on why I tend to O so late and I am curious to see if I have more than one good sized follicle in the running (not trying for twins but open to it).
I just hope they tell me what they see and I don't have to wait for the doc to review the results before I can find out what they are (they do that to me sometimes... annoys the fire out of me lol). I think I am going to take some time today... probably now, before I need to start packing, to do some research and find out what means what on a follicle study. That way, if I can at least get her to tell me the follicle sizes and such, I will have some idea even if she won't tell me what it all means until the doc reviews it.

I got my first + opk yesterday which fell in line with our E4D plan. So we got an attempt in last night but now I'm thinking we may have missed our chance and I O'd yesterday because my temp went up today. I have O'd on the day of the first positive many times in the past. I thought our timing would be perfect this month with an attempt on CD 18 because the last couple months O day has been between 19-21. But of course this month it happens earlier :(

Try not to stress. The cycle I got our angel DD on we weren't TTC so I intentionally waited until I thought it was too late. My CM, CP... everything was shifting to infertile the only thing missing was my shift. We BD'd around midnight and I got my shift the next morning and a week and a half later I got a BFP. You aren't out by any means. Sooner is better to try to have sperm ready and waiting for the egg BUT it only takes 2 hours for sperm to go from vagina to fallopian tube and the egg is viable for 24 hours after ovulation. Don't give up hope as you have no idea if O happened yesterday or very early this morning.
Did you only test once yesterday? If not, what time did you get your surge and when did it go negative(if it did)?

Thanks two  I know it can still happen on O day, part of me just feels like maybe it hasn't happened yet because we just can't seem to get our timing right, I hate this E4D method. I'm a planner with everything so its frustrating when I have no control! Hah. My temp usually goes up at least 0.4 degrees and this time was only 0.3 so maybe it happened in the night/early morning. Hopefully. I would just feel a lot more confident with an O-1 attempt. Good to know that it worked for you with your dear angel DD. I tested twice yesterday - the first time around 2 PM and I wouldn't even say that one was positive but so so so close. Then I tested around 5:30 in the evening and it was glaringly positive. I should have tested this morning but was running late so I won't test again until I get home around 5 PM.

Ok, good to know, you're probably right. I temp around 6:30 am. Usually I have a lot of cramping around O time and I didn't notice anything yesterday or today yet so I wonder if it did happen in the middle of the night/early morning when I was still asleep.

Oh yeah... if you O'd say... 12 hours after you got a + that still leaves an hour before temp time and, depending on YOUR body's sensitivity to progesterone, that *could* have been enough time to see a shift in temps! My better judgement says that if you did in fact O that it was probably less than 12 hours though... maybe in the very very early hours this morning or the very very late hours last night. So, I believe your timing is absolutely within potential BFP range!! :fx: :luck:

Also, if I were you, I'd leave everything at home and not think about TTC while you are away, especially since it sounds like you won't be DTD until you get back anyways. Interested to see what the results of your test are!

Hello! I'm jumping over here from July with some fun news -- BFP today! I'm not sure how I feel about it though. July was the first month we ttc, so I'm feeling anxious that falling prego so easily is not a good indicator when ttc pink. I guess I'm looking for some encouragement, as I'm trying to figure out how to feel at the moment! I've got DS1 2010 and DS2 2013. I did a small 8wk pink sway with DS2 (lost 15lbs down to 136 5'3"). This time I did a 20+ wk sway (lost 30lbs down to 128). I also added daily fiber, coffee, and peppermint tea to this sway. My cycles had shortened to 26 or 24 days (from 28) for the last 4 months, and I had been oing earlier (CD13 vs CD16). I did o ~CD13 this month as well, and we had DTD once on CD11 (J&D, zytec 8hrs before). It had been a really stressful month leading up to this (my husband and I were planning and leading a new middle school camp that happened the week before DTD). We were both totally exhausted. In any case, my mind keeps going back and forth on whether or not this stuff was positive or negative in relation to ttc pink. Either way, I hope this is a sticky little bean! Good luck to everyone here!! Maybe I'll see some of you over in the due april/may/june 2016 thread!

Congrats! FWIW my angel DD was by far my easiest conception. Conceived her the first cycle we started not trying but not not really preventing either. We didn't follow any of the TTA rules but made a conscious effort to avoid and still got preg... with our first and only girl. TTC my boys was a struggle... esp my angel DS.

I need some unbiased thoughts if you ladies don't mind...
Ok, so I have two brands of OPK strips-one is a no name brand I am not sure if I trust and the other is the same brand I used last cycle (clinical guard). In an effort to test how trustworthy the no name brand is I have been intentionally testing too soon because I learned accidentally last cycle that testing too soon can result in a false +, so I figured I'd use that to my advantage. I have been testing with both the brand I trust and the brand I don't since my first day taking clomid. I haven't had ANY kind of line on either test this whole time with the exception of one squinter today.
On one hand I worry this means the clomid isn't working because last cycle I had lines practically all cycle which is abnormal for me so it had to have been the clomid to cause it. On the other hand, I know my OPKs finally started to straighten up and act right shortly before O so it makes me wonder if it means I might actually O early this cycle... BUT that wouldn't explain no line while taking clomid. Clomid works by tricking the body into creating more LH, FSH, etc. so there should have been SOME kind of line while I was taking it, right?? Something tells me that I am in for another confusing cycle  At least this cycle I will have the u/s to give me some idea of what is going on (hopefully). Anyway, any similar stories or whatever that anyone can offer would be much appreciated.

Twointow sorry your having a confusing cycle again! I hope you u/s givesntou some answers!
AFM - frustration overload!! I had all sorts of problems with my cb dual yesterday late afternoon. Used 3 test sticks (kept coming up with error) until finally a flashing smiley on 3rd test. This morning same thing, wasted two tests (came up error) and 3rd was flashing smiley.... Think my cb dual is dusted and what wonderful timimg right around when I'm suppose to o. I'm going out in an hour or so to get some test strips (dip and read) to try and work out if I'm realty still not positive because I find it very hard to believe I'd o later than cd13 (tomorrow). Also quite crampy this morning which is confusing me even more and I can only just touch bottom of cervix its so high....

Well I've done strip test and its negative. So I can pretty much write this cycle off if I o on cd14. I'll keep opk testing until I get a positive just in case o is delayed enough to get an attempt in e4d wise but that is so so unlikely :(
Twointow I know you check your cervix can I ask how long before o does is go high? This is my 1st month monitoring it so I have nothing to compare to and am basically guessing position and texture.http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/06/c901f8d8c0a5ca2aa222fd94183d8eda.jpg

That is a tough question as each person has their norms but even those can vary cycle to cycle. Personally I haven't found a concrete pattern for myself (which is sad considering how long I have been checking). I have cycles where I went HSO the day before or day of O, and I have others which I was HSO a week or more before O. Sorry I can't be more helpful PCOS throws a kink in the chains for me. The fact you can barely reach it is a good sign though  So... riddle me this, why would you give up on O'ing if you don't O before CD 14? I am confused, lol. Did I miss a post somewhere that would make that make sense to me??

Well, at least one thing is the same this cycle :giggle: Last cycle on CD 9 my CM morphed into this creamy/watery hybrid. Today, CD 9, it did the same as of this evening. I am glad I'll be distracted this weekend! I am going stir crazy waiting for Monday to get here lol. I am so beyond curious! Plus it will be nice to get an u/s where I am not a nervous wreck before it!

Because if its negative today (cd12) its doubtful I'll o tomorrow and if its pos cd13 I'll likely o cd14 which will be an attempt 3 days b4 o so very unlikely I'll catch the egg, gotta remember me and dh aren't spring chickens anymore and he's 7 years older than me lol. Same thing happened June attempt :( so I'm pretty devastated atm but trying not to get to down until confirmed o

I won't lie... O-3 scares me too (((HUGS))) but you never know when you'll actually end up O'ing. Not to feed you false hope but given you have had several days of "high" on your monitor, the OPK you took *could* be as light as it is because you have already surged  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

By the time you get up tomorrow morning I'll be driving so I won't be able to peak and check on you tomorrow until late evening (my time), but please post and let us know what happens. If anything worth seeing happens on your chart this weekend, can you post a screen shot? I'll be mobile (assuming I get cell service in the boonies (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=boonies) where we'll be staying as I can't remember if we do or not) so I won't be able to click the link in your signature like I usually can.

Well remember that during my BFP cycle I didn't get a positive opk ever!! I thought for sure that cycle was a wash! Thank goodness we decided to BD every 4 days, otherwise we would have never caught the egg!! Don't be afraid to switch to that- that is not what caused me to get blue. I got blue due to other factors I had to add just to get pregnant ;)
There is still hope yet!! FX!!

Thanks xx!! I'm just shocked that the cb duals worked like a dream June and July, 3 flashing smileys then solid in June (bad timing was my fault that cycle becos of trust issues with opks lol) had 2 flashing smileys b4 solid last cycle and timed perfect day b4 o, now technically if my opk tester wasn't faulty I would be on day 5 of flashing smiley??? Hence why I went and bought the dip strips which was negative. Pretty doubtful I oed in the 3 hours between temping and doing dip test (although had some uncomfortable cramping around an hour after temping which I mentioned on a post in here two hours b4 dip test) Anyway I'm babbling sorry and even went shopping for more vegetarian food lol. I really hope I'm in for a complete surprise through temp spike tomorrow but doubt it so I'm sticking with diet again as I just cant bring myself to stop swaying with such a sh!?ty final attempt lol :)

My temp is slowly sinking each day but still in my post-O range. Hopefully, by the time I temp Monday it will be back to normal. It isn't far off at this point. My CL is typically in the ballpark of 97.6 and today's temp was 97.73, with a 0.2 drop since yesterday.
I decided to go ahead and take a couple OPKs. I don't really intend to take them but this way if something happens that makes me think I need to test I don't have to stress out about not being able to. I also figured out the cup situation so it should be easy to test if I need to. I usually use a disposable solo cup to test. It makes it super easy to collect urine BUT is super bulky and not very strong so one wouldn't survive the packing. So, anyway, I was doing dishes last night and went to put them away and opened a drawer and saw a few of those medicine cups that come on liquid OTC med bottles. So, I grabbed one of those. It is small (gonna be "fun" if I have to end up trying to pee in it :giggle: ) so it will be easy to conceal in my pocket if necessary.

Well I don't know what is going on with my crazy body. My temp dipped back down this morning. So maybe I didn't really O yet??? Before I had DS I had a long cycle where I got one positive opk but didn't O until a month later (and I did get 2 days of positive opks at that time too). I really hope this cycle isn't going to be all wacky like that :worry: I've been under a lot of stress with my aunt passing and I'm wondering if that's causing O not to happen. I guess I'll just keep temping and continuing with the E4D plan.
FX for you Pbn that you O soon!

Pbn3 - I got a BFP at O-3 timing in Feb! It ended in a CP, but fingers crossed for a sticky bean for you. ✨
Yaybaby - I hate OPKs. Ugh. Hang in there..hoping O is right around the corner and is more clear for you!

I'll be stalking you too Monday then!! :fx:
I don't think I am O'ing now, or even in the next few days. I'd be over the moon just to O before CD 18 and I am only CD 9 now. Best case scenario I'd say I probably have at least another week before O but that pain last cycle hit about 5-6 days before O last cycle so hopefully I'll get a repeat and the pain I am having means I'll O much sooner than last cycle. Then again it could just be the fact that I crushed the pills this time so my O pains are just going to be stronger this cycle. I am so looking forward to Monday. My biggest fear is that I'll get there and there won't be any follicles maturing, just lots of little cysts (I have PCOS) but I don't think that will happen since I did eventually O last cycle and because I O on my own anyway (now anyway, I didn't way back when.. I take clomid this round to try to O sooner, increase egg quality and with the side benefit of swaying pink). So, I am not letting myself worry about the u/s. I keep telling myself there is going to be at least one good follicle, maybe even 2, and that the u/s is just a sneek peak inside and nothing to worry about. So far it seems to be keeping me from stressing about it.
Is it Monday yet? :giggle:

FX for you two! Maybe crushing your Clomid is doing the trick and you'll O earlier. Hoping we'll be testing buddies :) I didn't even know what a fallback rise was until I looked it up just now. Hoping that's the case so I'm not just waiting to O again. I'll keep testing with the opks though and DTD E4D just in case.
momamia - your chart looks great! FX for that BFP!! So what day did you actually O on? If the crosshairs are correct on your chart, it looks like you had a fallback rise, right?
Thanks Taytum! I'm really hoping its just a fallback rise and I've already O'd. Or today is O day. I would much prefer not to have an O-3 attempt, even though I know its perfectly possible to get pregnant with that kind of timing. FX that your progesterone test comes back high!
Congrats smbarnett!

I am not the best person to answer that. My PCOS likes to make things difficult for me. I know for me though the creamy/EW CM (white'ish, mildly stretchy) is what I typically get just before I do actually gear up to O... it is kinda my pre-fertile CM. A few days before I O (on a normal non-medicated cycle) my CM goes to straight EW, clear as actual egg whites and super stretchy.

I am going to test in the morning (9dpo). DH is a bit impatient. I was going to wait until at least 12dpo but he wants to know like on O day, lmao!! He actually said that! HAHA! FX for you daisy!! I think it would be super awesome for us both to get a BFP this month!! :D Of course, it would be extra awesome for all of us to get a BFP this month! What do you think the odds of that are?
Well, I actually got nauseous enough today to toss my cookies. :/ I'm really hoping the progesterone test comes back extra high, just to prove that I'm not crazy. Lol!
Fx to you as well. That would be great if we would all get a bfp this month[emoji1]. I keep thinking I might just test tomm morning as well, I am starting to get impatient lol. Keep us posted about the progesterone test.

Good luck Daisy and Momamia! So exciting some testing is almost here!! Start the bfp ball rolling for us all please :):)
I had sharp throbbing consistent o pains at 2.30am onwards this morning the left side way stronger, barely felt anything on rh side. When I did opk this morning it was positive and temp hadn't spiked but when I just did another 6 hours later there's barely a line!!! fx this means I caught end of lh surge this morning and oed soon after which will put my attempt at 36 ish hours b4 o!! Technically less than 2 days!! I'm so happy right now and am so so hopeful for temp spike in morning! Check out these 2 tests!http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/07/1effaa2cf6c2e75a00d282de0dafc80d.jpg

I'll start testing mid next week with OPKs looks like I have about 30-31 day cycle. Next week will be busy focusing on abit of a fast and exercise as ive found it hard to stick to LE diet for girl sway, night work mainly being the culprit. But if a declined maternal condition sways girl I certainly have good chances this time 😂

Sorry I started to try and get caught up and of course responded to a post and then that bumped me to the end.
I am 7dpo and feel pms. Lots of cramping, just like last cycle. Went to bed with a heating pad even... Yet this morning my temps were up so I decided to test. Silly me. Why do I do that? I have 4 tests left, I was hoping to just wait til I was late (whatever that is, thinking after 10dpo)

Im also very conflicted bc this was the last cycle I feel comfortable trying on.
Hubby wants to keep going but if we DID get pregnant next cycle it would make me have to come forward and tell my wedding clients that im due around the time of their wedding. I'd really rather not go there. It also limits me to not booking june/July/aug/ etc each month that were faced with trying in the upcoming cycles. I hate that both TTC and wedding planning are both so far in advance [emoji57]

Thinking of you Magical. I know how you feel - sometimes it's easier not to get our hopes up.
Hitme- sounds like one of those things where it will never be perfect timing. I would TTC any way - there's no guarantee and I'd rather know I tried than wonder "what if".
Stringer cramps last night that woke me up. Hoping it's a good sign, or at least good progesterone!

I would just have your attempt. If my memory serves me correctly, you have a pretty strict sway. Given that, I wouldn't want you to have him release and then have your attempt, since that would really lower his sperm count a lot and hinder conception. As a compromise, how about jump and dumping after 5min after you have your attempt? If you want to up odds of conception, I wouldn't jump and dump at all.

So, I've been spending too much time with Mr. Google today and have completely freaked myself out that my progesterone level is not high enough to support a pregnancy. Does anyone know anything about progesterone and if so, can you please reassure me that my level of 16 (I don't know the units as she didn't tell me) at 8dpo is fine? The nurse made me feel okay about it because she said it was fine and then asked me when my RE told me to come in for a blood pregnancy test. Ugh. Freaking out sucks!!! Why does time have to pass so slowly?!

Momamia I can't answer your question but just keep testing over next few days if you have tests! 8dpo is really early, you may have just implanted and therefore have lower number? I'm sure doc's would have a minimum/maximum scale as such and if the nurse said its ok I'd take that as a good sign!
Anyway - congratulations!!!!!!!!!!

10-29ng/mL is the average at 4-5 weeks gestation. Most doctors are fine with 8-12ng/mL. Yours is great at 8dpo!!! Don't worry!!

Sorry in advance everyone for what will be longwinded post but I would appreciate any input. I didn't have a temp rise this morning :( and I'll attach a pic of this mornings opk. I know people have gotten bfps from a o-3 attempt but I just dont think I can. I know I keep on about me and dh age but the fact is fertility does decrease with age. I'll attach my chart as of this morning. I'm debating whether to wake poor dh for an attempt if the kids allow (he's just done 2 nightshifts and goes in again tonight) or do I try for tomorrow instead which would be 4 days since last attempt? If I o today and we dtd I may still have a good chance. My cycle is just wak and I can't believe I havent oed yet. If I hold on and dtd tomorrow maybe there'll still be a chance of catching the egg? Who knows maybe I wont even o today? Thanks momamia the attempt would have to be between lunch-afternoon dh leaves at 4.30pm so waiting for tonight isn't possible. I don't even know if an attempt will be possible anyway. Depends what time ds2 goes down for a nap which will likely be in the next couple hours and that would still be morning here. uurrgghh feeling defeated this cycle - maybe its the universes way of telling me I'm not supposed to have dc3 :(

One last quick question - I know timing doesn't matter but is it still true that boy sperm swim faster? My only concern is if I've already oed by the time I get to dtd that the boy swimmers will get there first? Or does the poorer maternal condition help the female ones along as they are tougher lol while hindering the male ones?

Hitme I hope your cramps were of the implantation kind when are you going to test? Did you add any attempts this time round, I think you posted your chart awhile back can you do so again? fx for you and sometimes things seem to happen when we don't expect them and don't when we do :)
May I ask how old you ladies are? I'm 32 DH 29
Im 38, and hubs is 40, 41 in dec.
Pbn I tested again today - negative. Here's my chart. It's pretty much like last months.

Ff says 9dpo but I believe 8. Last cycle I have my first temp drop like this at 9dpo , then a big drop, then Af.
I did one attempt - and thought I nailed the timing.

I agree with True on this one. Sure, in the short term the wedding you're taking pictures for seems really important. However 5 years from now, it won't be. How will you feel 5 years from now if you missed your chance at having another child?
My DH keeps coming back to that question because he is in the middle of writing his dissertation and will be conducting his research when we will have a little one and trying for #4. In the short term it seems totally stupid/crazy, but 5 years from now when I'll be 40 and he 41 we may be sad that we didn't at least try.

I'm completely gutted. I thought for sure this was my cycle. I've been bloated and crampy plus I've had this god-awful acne (which I never get) only to find it was just my body gearing up for my period early :( I'm only 7-8 dpo and I woke up this morning and had bright pink spotting. Has anyone had this in past pregnancies and it was just a fluke? My LP is usually 12-14 days long. I really thought this was my cycle. :( I wish I hadn't got my hopes up with those stupid symptoms!

My last pregnancy I really thought I was going to start.... I cramped and had all the symptoms of a period and spotted but it stopped. There's still hope!
For those of you who commented on my OPK, so glad yall told me to wait... It's so much of a positive today that the line is almost purple lol
Tonight is our attempt! I hope this is it!
Last attempt I did 5 mins then J&D but nothing came out... Should I do the same thing?

So o still haven't oed. Feel like my body is playing a bad joke on me. I can't remember if or when I ever oed after cd14. And my thermometer doesn't appear to be broken. After getting same temp yet again I took several open mouth breaths and retested - came up .1 less at 36.2
Did an opk and still looks positive to me. My chart looks ridiculous!!!! Only good thing now is I'm back to one attempt providing I actually o at some stage.

Hitme I'd go for it, but only you can decide what is best for you. The way I see it is, whenever you get preg, your clients will have a 9 month heads up to try to find someone else if you can't do it. You can't schedule your life around other people's lives. What if you had an "oops" pregnancy... you'd notify who needed notified and make it happen. You clients have no idea if you TTC'd or had an "oops" and any *reasonable* human being would understand and appreciate that long of a heads up. Live your life girl... don't live theirs!

Sorry to gate crash but I just had to tell you that my bfp cycle with my current pregnancy I had what I considered a full blown period, had I not been ttc I would have thought nothing of it, I was only on day 16 of my cycle, got a pos opk on day 6 and because my last couple of cycles had been wacky I thought I would take a hpt just in case and it was a bfp! I also had the same thing with my eldest and didn't realise I was 4 weeks further gone than I thought until I had my first scan!! So you are not out yet :-)

So, I am back from the trip. I did pretty good keeping my mind off TTC, except when I peeked in here and when I was cramping like crazy. I think I did a little too good not thinking about it all in fact. My diet kinda blew up the last few days
Tonight is our attempt night but I am thinking of not (attempting that is. Hubby says we are DTD one way or the other :giggle: ). I haven't OPK tested yet but highly doubt I'm surging as I am only on CD 12 and kinda think tomorrow's u/s might give us a better idea of how long of a wait we have until O and I'd hate to BD tonight and find out that it was a bad move for some reason...
Clomid ladies- Have you all noticed being more prone to sudden shifts in emotion for no apparent reason, specifically teariness(is that even a word?)? I ask because lately I will feel like I am about to tear up over absolutely nothing or small things. We were heading home today and I heard the song "A song for my daughter" and it happened, which I guess if I REALLY tried I could make some marginal sense out of. Or I was watching TV, nothing emotional about what I was watching... not even a little and suddenly felt like I was going to tear up. Over and over, over thing REALLY not worthy of tears... just curious if I am the only one

Magical - So, so sorry. It's so frustrating. I'm hoping IUI gives you some good results. And, I don't know much about it, I would still think by swaying and making your environment less than ideal for sperm you could still be successful for a girl.
Two - glad vacation was good! I'll be anxious to see what happens at your appt tomorrow. Hopefully lots 'o eggs ready to be fertilized with a sticky pink bean! Also, I'm not sure about the tear jerking - I kind of get like that anyway. I have a really soft heart and it doesn't take much for me, so I don't know if Clomid is causing more of it or not.
Kitty - the same happened to me; I had a pretty light/medium period for 3 days. But my temp was still up and when I went to the doctors I had a BFP! It ended in a chemical but don't lose hope just yet!
Pbn - hope you O soon! If rather be in the 2WW wayyyy more than waiting to O!
Hit me - I agree with everyone else. Do it for yourself! You'll never regret putting off those weddings for a baby, but you'll probably regret putting off having a baby for someone else's wedding. As someone else said, had I known the struggle I had ahead of me, I would have TTC even through my own wedding!
I have my progesterone check tomorrow so everything crossed that comes back good! I've had a pretty good about of creamy/wateryish CM the past few days. Yesterday while working out, and today there was a "gush" while just sitting eating lunch. I'm hoping this is a good sign, but again, could always just be Clomid. I really want to temp tomorrow, but think I'll just wait and see Wednesday. If it's still up high I'll test Wednesday morning. And just saying that makes me want to tear up lol.

I had pink spotting 7dpo with ds4. I also got my first bfp that day! I tested at the doctors - using a Dollarama test. I told my doctor I did it while waiting for my turn, so he had me dip one of their hpt strips and it was neg. I think you could totally have IB.

You're right about it seeming significant but it's really not a big deal, just will be uncomfortable to break that news to them. I think it stems from my announcement at my last job when I got pregnant with ds 4. They treated me like shit.

It's awful that you were treated poorly! Sounds like you have a solid workable plan this time though!!

My diet went APE SHIT this weekend. I am just so fed up with it. I wanted ALL the ice cream and I had bacon, high fat dressing AND CHEESE on a sandwich at supper lol! Bacon!!!!

Let's see... On the day we went up I had (at home) a yogurt and something else but I can't remember what for "breakfast", then on the road we stopped at McD's and I got a burger I think... but I am not sure. Then once we got up there we stopped at Steak and shake for dinner and I LOVE LOVE LOVE their jalapeno burger and I get to go there so rarely so I got that. Yesterday (sat) I had cereal for and ACTUAL breakfast (had another long drive and wanted to wait as long as possible before stopping for food and cereal was my only option). Then I was STARVING at a gas station and so was my youngest so I got this cheese sausage in a bread roll thing and split it with him. then when I got to the reunion I had lasagna, and about a million calorie cake lol. Then today I had a whopper from Burger King, an iced frappe from a gas station, some pretzels and for dinner- the quickest, easiest and cheapest meal on the PLANET... RAMEN! Lol. To sum it up I had about 6 months worth of red meat and a a week worth of protein, fat and cals in like 3 days. I was awful this weekend but it was SOOOOOOO nice to just eat and not think about it. My norm diet consists on a lot of protein so this low protein thing keeps me from eating a lot of what I am used to (certainly not out to eat all the time, but meat and such).

I seriously want to cry.... My positive OPK this morning was so so dark... We decided to have our attempt tonight after our son was asleep. We were about to have the attempt and I tested again and it's stark white now..: how in the world was my window so small. I guess we will still have an attempt but I feel defeated already. Is there even a possibility to be successful now?

You could have been surging through the night last night and not even known. So, yes, there is a chance :) (((HUGS)))

I misunderstood the question...I thought you were asking if you still had a chance of it being a real O. But I still say Yup :) It takes roughly 2 hours for sperm to make it from vagina to tubes. Most ppl generally O 24-36 hours from +OPK. Lets pretend you know for a fact that your surge started at say midnight last night. It's a good bet then that you would O sometime tonight or tomorrow. Then the egg survives for an additional 24 hours meaning that even if you O'd right this second your hubby's sperm still have a 22 hour jump on the eggs expiration time :) Does that all make sense?
edited to correct a math mistake.

Okay. Makes sense. Thank you! I'm trying to still feel hopeful but I had no clue that once the tests went negative that you could still get pregnant. I'm hoping I didn't ovulate this morning and that we still have a chance... It's super defeating to think we may have wasted a whole month due to just trying to wait until our LO was asleep. It never occurred to me to hurry and BD as soon as I saw a positive.. I thought I could for sure wait until that night (seeing that I always test in the mornings.)

Magical what's the turnaround on semen analysis? Will you have answers before next cycle? So sorry to hear your out again :(
I'm not sure I hope so. We can only get the analysis done in 2 days time, will ask when we drop it off.

Magical, not tonight but I did this morning. It was negative. I'm going to wait a few days to test again. I had a big temp drop yesterday and today, which I'm hoping is implantation. So, I wouldn't get a positive for a few days anyway.

I edited my post to fix a number error I was thinking about it being after 10 and typed 10 instead of 22.
I have had it go both ways. I have had it go where I was still surging the day AFTER my temp shift, but MUCH MUCH more often, even if I have been surging for DAYS, my OPK will turn negative before I ovulate. From what I have read 9x out of 10 most people say that they don't O until their OPK turns -. So, no a -OPK doesn't mean you have already O'd but just for s&gs lets consider that you O'd earlier today. I am going to assume it was around 8'ish when you took the test that was really dark, so lets pretend that you O'd at noon (unlikely but possible). It is just after 10 pm in TX (where it says you live) so the sperm would STILL have 14 hours to make it before time runs out :) You are good hun, go get you BD on ;)

LaurenK- even if the opk goes white, remember you ovulate 24-48 hours AFTER your first positive opk. If it goes white, it doesn't mean you ovulated- it means that your surge was over and the egg will be released sometime soon.

(((HUGS))) You are braver than I am! I had a chemical last cycle and the BFP only showed on FRERs so I have kinda sworn them off. I'd rather not know if it is going to end before it ever really gets a chance to start.

I am in the 2ww of my first attempt for a boy. I'm 3dpo and I'm dreading how psycho I get as the days go on. My dh only wants to try for 3 months so I'm really hoping this happens quickly!!
I attempted to sway in 2013 but it took over a year to conceive so I dropped all sway elements pretty much. I've been pregnant twice in 2-3 months so I'm hoping the last time was a fluke.
