I've been using OPK's once in the morning with SMU and once in the evening around seven. Now I'm thinking this is too long of a gap because I haven't gotten a positive and I'm on cd 13 with a 26 day cycle. It hasn't even gotten much darker. I'm going to take one today at 3 PM too but generally what is the best time of day?

My main time for OPK was at 2pm.... When I got closer, I would use 3 & do the other 2 at 11am & at 8 pm.... Always kept the 2pm one though!

I used to do mine when it was lunchtime (at work), so was around 1-2.30pm

Okay. I hope I didn't miss it!! I started weaning my baby last week and I wonder if that has something to do with it. I've reduced my feedings to once a day.

Sorry. One more question. Now that I'm thinking (obsessing) about it, I'm wondering if the fluctuation in hormones from reducing breast feeding could affect my O day? I tried to find info online but didn't see anything. Does anyone have experience with this?

LH levels peak in your urine between 11:00-3pm. It's best to test around then with a 3-4 hour hold on your urine.

Some brands of opks say to use FMU. It's best to read the directions from your opks.

You need to read the directions on your OPK because most of them are done after lunch. Only a couple are done in the morning.
