White bread/pasta vs Wheat bread/pasta

Which ones are more likely to sway which way?

I always stuck to white carbs when swaying pink, I think wheat would have more in the way of vitamins etc. I'm sure someone else will pop on and explain things in detail for you

This is one of the biggest unknowns about swaying that there is.

We started off thinking that whole grains would be better for blue because they have more nutrients BUT...

1)Whole grains have "antinutrients" and fiber that may actually lower nutrient absorption
2)People with PCOS (which sways blue) were having their blood sugar go up and testosterone rise on white, refined grains and this actually could sway blue for them. We have gotten much better results with whole grains for them.
3)Blue swayers are already eating so many calories that very few of them are ever even EATING whole grains. So we don't even know it it is working for them.

Final analysis - I no longer think whole grains should be avoided like the plague for pink and in fact may actually be BETTER for some people. So, use what you personally like/enjoy, with the exception of people with PCOS who absolutely must limit carbs and use whole grains.

For some reason we do not understand, white rice seems to be in its own little category and many people are getting very good results with gluten free diets and white rice for TTC a girl. So I think white rice is ok for all but severe PCOS.

So you don't think one sways more than the other? You wouldn't recommend one over the other?

I always ate white when I conceived my boys so I felt OK switching to whole grains. They make you feel fuller for longer which I think makes the "no snacking" easier. I don't know what I'm having yet so I can't say if it was successful or not but it felt good anyway :)

I always ate multigrain, whole grain, or whole wheat and am having my third boy. I think when I sway next year I'll go white instead.

I changed from anything white (bread, pasta, rice etc) to wholewheat or wholegrain or multi seed while swaying blue. I had always eaten white before.

I don't know. The truth is that some things I simply do not know and this is A1.

Or you could compromise and get the cheap "wheat" bread that is likely just white bread dyed brown?!?!

Or if you're torn which to get, there's always the "half and half" option! I think it's essentially white with a bit of wheat added.

Haha yeah, don't do that anyone with PCOS/IR because the whole grains are better for some people.

WE do know that some people will get better results with whole grains. WE don't know if EVERYONE will get better results with whole grains.
