So I read that drinks such as diet twist up and crystal light won't raise blood sugar so we can have them whenever and how much we want. Have there been recent studies to show otherwise lately? Are we still good to drink however much and whatever time of the day still? I take sips here and there all day.
Green Beans, Cucumber, iceberg lettuce.... We can really have as many of them as we want even though there are calories and nutrition in them? So does this mean if we went to our 1,800 calories for the day we can pig out whenever we want on these things? Do we have to worry about them raising our blood sugar?

I'm sure Atomic will chime in on this but I'd be careful with the artificial sweeteners. They don't raise blood sugar however I wouldn't drink them in crazy amounts. I know AS has said recently that it's not getting great results anyway but still lots of ladies here do drink things like Diet Coke and Crystal Light. Personally, I think that sweeteners like aspartame play a part in swaying pink because they're used in fizzy zero calorie, non-nutritive beverages that fill you up so you eat less as a result.
As for the veggies, they still do count for calories just not fat or protein. DON'T snack on them all day long. Eat them as part of your meals. We're only supposed to be having 2-3 meals a day.

I like everyone to limit themselves to 2-3 12-16 oz. servings of aspartame a day. This is the amount proven to be ok by the FDA during pregnancy and it isn't working anyway so I would just like to err on the side of absolute caution.
Low carb veg are totally unlimited, you can have 1800 cals of whatever you want, then in ADDITION to that, go hog wild on however much cucumber you would like. It amounts to nothing, you may as well eat air.
They need to be with meals, not between meals, that's the only thing.

Low carb veggies DO NOT count for calories OR protein or fat.
High carb veggies and fruit you count calories but not protein or fat.
