Thinking we are going to ttc :babyf: in a month or two. I am going to visit family for a week this month out of state. Hopefully I don't fall off the swaying wagon! Anyways....Here is what I done so far.
Been doing the LE diet for almost 4 weeks now! It has been so hard to not instinctively go to the cupboard and take the chips, etc out when watching a movie. I have been tracking calories and fat/protein on fitness pal. There were days were I would be under or go over with protein or fats. Sodium is still off the charts, but atomic doesn't think it sways. I would go over potassium a few days here and there when I was on a potato kick, eating 3 potatoes in one day. We both are staying away from red meat and haven't had it since I started the LE diet. I had 2 days in this 4 weeks time where i couldn't resist and had to a few pieces of candy at 9pm. But my normal new routine has been no breakfast eat first meal anywhere from 11:30-1:00. Than have something at 6/7 pm. Than a half hour later I will allow myself something else. I been trying not to eat after 8pm. So I have to try and get my calories in from 6/7-8. Is there anything I really should be avoiding food wise other than red meat? Drinking more crystal light.
He is not doing the LE diet. He is eating normally and not watching his minerals, fat, proteins, etc. Just no red meat. He actually seems to be eating more to make up for what I haven't been eating. We hate to waste. He seems to be staying steady with his weight or will gain here and there. He has been getting soymilk 1-2 times a week instead of the lactose free he used to get. He would drink a quart- half gallon on the 1 or 2 times he would get it for the week.
Neither of us have been exercising. He walks all day at work though which is 11 hours 4 days a week. I can't get myself motivated enough to do it. I don't trust myself that I would do it for the whole 6 weeks even if I started. So I think it is better to do nothing than to start and than stop after 2 weeks?
Been doing rephresh every 3 days as it says on the package. I find I like this stuff, not even just for swaying purposes. I have the generic brand of zyrtec for those nights that I am as wet as an ocean. lol
Dh wants to release everyday. I'm not sure how we can keep up with it if we don't get pregnant the first month ttc. He wants to bd though, so we are going to bd everyday PROTECTED except for every 4th day. I think we will take a week off during af every month I don't get pregnant.
Dh is on antidepressants that I read can lower sperm count also?
So that is it for right now. Anyone have any suggestions or other ideas to add?
Hoping and praying for :pinksperm: to win the race!

Potassium really is totally fine on LE Diet. Most people struggle to get enough. My daughter is like 30% potato. :)
No magic foods on LE Diet, just stick in the limits for the day. Try not to go TOO far under too many days in a week.
BD protected is fine too.
Keep up the good work. :)

AS,
How many calories in one sitting is to much?? I know in the f&q's it say's no thanksgiving type meals, but how do we get all our calories in for the day in only 2 meals without having a thanksgiving dinner? Having 2 servings of spaghetti noodles, 2 servings of mashed potatoes, and 4 servings of ice cream in one sitting seems like a thanksgiving meal to me, but that is the only way I can get my calories in within 2 meals. All that is about 700 calories each. I was surprised when I started portioning out the ice cream how much 4 servings=2 cups was! I usually just take the tub out and eat straight from it. lol
Thank you for the encouragement. I been getting pretty down about this, thinking "I am doomed for another boy. How can I get a girl by not doing much other than diet? I'm not exercising and exercise seems to be key, etc. I lost two babies in between having my dd and now. What if they both were girls? How can I possibly have another if they were?" Just stupid stuff. But for the most part I have been sooo tired (maybe the diet?) that I think about it, but doesn't consume me or make me get mad like it would before. Because all I can think about is how tired I am and want my bed. lol
Is there something else you are seeing good results with that you would add for me or dh to up my chances? I am thinking we both are going have wine coolers close to ovulation. I have a very unpredictable cycle so don't know how I am going to do that. Just drink it when I think I may be ovulating I guess? I am going to bd everyday (as that is what dh swears worked before) but do it protected except for every 4th day. And if I don't get pregnant the first cycle of trying I am going to take my leftover clomid. I used it when I got pregnant with my IG fail sway, but didn't need it with my dd. We were NTNP and did it everyday. Just how it worked out that month. We both were always in the mood.

1)If you are fitting in the limits for the day don't worry about the "Thanksgiving Dinner warning". That is for people who aren't doing a strict diet and are more "magic food" thinkers where they're not counting cals but just skipping breakfast and avoiding certain foods. Seriously, if you're less than 1000-1500 cals at a meal, it's all good. A Thanksgiving dinner is like 3000 cals at one sitting with huge amounts of protein, carbs, fat, all at once.
2)I know it feels counterintuitive but the laid back "just what works" sways are getting by far better results so stick to diet and you'll have done the number one thing. I didn't exercise when I got my DD.
3)I really think that you're doing very well. I think the alcohol helps more if you use it consistently in the first part of your cycle and not just around O but I don't have data to verify that so do what you think is best.
How long have you fet so tired?? Do you think you could be anemic?? I would add in 18-60 mg iron 3x a week and see if it helps.

I started feeling like that for the last 4 days. Yesterday I did a big no no and had a cup of fruit punch. Not the healthy fruit juices, but like the hawian kool aid fruit punch stuff and a few pretzels with it around 3:00. 3 hours after I ate lunch. Ate lunch at 12. I couldn't function. We were in the store and I kept feeling like I was gonna pass out. Than I ate dinner at 6. Still stayed within calorie limits though. Had some pudding at midnight. So yesterday was a very BIG no no, but I just couldn't function. My husband keeps telling me to eat. He just thinks we are going to get a girl next no matter what we do. He thinks because he was right with our daughter he is just going to be right again. As I mentioned before he is very unrealistic. He still wants to go hight tec if I don't get pregnant first attempt. I have to say I do feel soo much better today. So I dont know if I just needed that little extra yesterday or what. Just having lunch now at 12:40. Just read your thing to take some iron next time I will try that instead of eating more. Thank You again. You are by far the best!

Atomic can certainly correct me if I'm wrong here, but if you are starving and exhausted all the time, you aren't doing LE right. It's not a starvation diet. It is a healthy, low protein, low fat diet.
If you had the room in your calorie limits for the fruit punch, that's perfectly okay. Especially with pretzels, which would be a lot of carbs and no/low fat, so a quick burn snack. What you are aiming for is the long fast overnight 15 or so hours. As long as you aren't grazing non-stop all day, you can have 2 OR 3 meals. If you need 3 meals to get through your day, eat three meals.
I find if my calories are too restrictive that I'm tired a lot too. Spaghetti, mashed potatoes, and ice cream isn't a balanced diet. You've gotta be eating some fruit and veggies in there too, and using a decent source for your 40g protein or you'll do more damage to your body than help.

:agree: totally couldn't have said it better, thank you!
If you are going to take some iron you will need to eat something with that because it can make you sick otherwise.

Yes, eating more than pretzels and koolaid. That is what I ate that day once between those two meals, because of how bad I was feeling. I been falling off the swaying band wagon alot lately. I ate that cheat between meals that one day and than I had one the last 2 nights at midnight and another this morning! One night was shrimp. I didn't have much protein that day so could afford it. The other was again pretzels at midnight. Than fruit snacks this morning. So four cheats so far. I'm not worried about the calories and protein/fat intake. I been tracking that and could afford all that extra. It is the fact I'm eating it between meals.

Both 2 and 3 meals are equally acceptible. I always had 3. if you can't make it on 2 meals, have 3. If you can't make it on 3, have 4. It's still WAY different than the boy meals which is 3 meals a day and 2-5 snacks.
If your "cheat" fits in the limits for the day, then it isn't a cheat. there are no magic foods and shellfish is actually "atomic approved" as the most pink-friendly meat there is.

Only part of diet that is hard for me is snacking! Because my kids snack all day and it's hard not to. That's my biggest adjustment. I do eat a small snack before 8pm and then won't eat till around 12-1pm a light lunch.
So I totally feel you on the snacking on chips at night! Especially since I been dieting since March and now I switch to le diet,
