Where to get IVF meds in Canada for cheaper?

Hi everyone,

I am booked into start my very first IVF/PGD cycle with Dr. Potter at HRC in early October. I just received my med protocol and was wondering if any Canadian ladies can direct me as to where to get IVF meds. Did you just have a Canadian doctor rewrite the prescription and go to a regular pharmacy? Or did you order online? My insurance does not cover fertility medications. Thanks!

Hi Canadian :). I'm Canadian and Albertan too.

You will have to get your doctor to rewrite the prescription. I got all my meds at my clinic (I was not doing PGD, I cycled here), but I have heard that online is way cheaper. LacePrincess has gone through this, you might want to pm her.

Hey anchor - do you know how this would be possible for a person with proven fertility? How do we convince a doc to give us meds? I'm researching for my future.
