Weaning and ovulation

So I can't believe it but I think that my DS has just about weaned. Hasn't nursed in 3 days. I was super emotional over it because I know he still wanted to but something was compelling me to. He will be 3 next month. I am sad because I don't want to be totally selfish but I want to try everything I can to get pregnant! Don't know if it will have any effect but wanted to try. So my question, any symptoms I should expect? Will my hormones be all wacky?? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

It's good to hear from you DJ! Don't beat yourself up- weaning is tough! My experience with weaning is that it took a cycle or two for my cycles to balance out.

When DS1 weaned I got a BFP the third cycle. When DS2 weaned I got a BFP that first cycle.

You haven't had af at all in 3 years? Wow! Thought I was bad. Wanted to ttc right away to have them closer in age but my af didn't come back til 21m. Rrrr. Lol. My last was 20-21m too and got prego 1st month trying which was 3rd cycle. Didn't know first was coming and then swayed and skupped 2nd and tried on 3rd. Child before that 15m. Missed first egg and caught on 2nd ppaf. This time my cycle started at 35 days, no clue it was coming, then 30, 28, but lp is consistent. We will see in a few days if I got lucky:)

Oh noooooo girl!! I got my cycle back at 6 weeks!! I have been breastfeeding this whole time. I am just older and my hormone levels are not great so I wanted to stop breastfeeding in hopes it wold help. Otherwise my guy would nurse forever!!!!! LOL
I just wondered if things would get all messed up and affect ovulation.

Oh OK lol. I wouldn't think it would if you've been Oing while nursing all this time. Have you been ttc at all or just starting?

No I have been TTC a while. Just stopped nursing is all.

I suspect that things will stay pretty much the same BUT I will say I had a LOOOTTT of EWCM starting very early when AF came back when my daughter was about 2.

Well you never think your lucky when you want to ttc and ppaf doesn't come till 21m. But yeah otherwise it is nice:)

oh I wasn't so lucky any of the other times, just this last one. :)
