Hi all. I'm going for 5th attempt this cycle and wondering if there is any type of girl friendly lube that can be used? I know most lubes are non sperm friendly and I was using a sperm friendly maybe baby lube when ttc ds2. I'm sure I've read about this a hundred times over the last 8 months but cant recall the answers. My last attempt was sooo forced and actually uncomfortable so I'm hoping to make things easier *wink* so to speak for our next scheduled one attempt lol. It's likely to be very early morning (1am ish by setting alarm) or between 5-7am if allowable by our two ds's as I'm trying this cycle to dtd on actual o day. TIA :)

I think you've been trying for so long you don't want anything that's going to cut odds of conception any more. Atomic told me to use just a little bit of preseed if needed :). Good luck honey! Hope this is your month xx

Thanks covered! Would any sperm friendly lube be ok as I'm not sure I've seen preseed in our local chemist? Definately seen the maybe baby type still available

I'm sure that would be fine. Just as much as you need though :). Don't go sticking a whole applicator up or anything lol

I probably agree that you don't want to cut odds of conception, however if you are interested sylk is a girl friendly lube. Pre seed is for boys but maybe if u just use a little it will help?

No worries, I have seen it in quite a few chemists here in Aus, Pretty sure chemist warehouse has it if that helps :)

I'm pretty sure Preseed is boy friendly. Sylk is more commonly used for girls. I bought mine from Amazon. x

I got sylk from chemist warehouse. Apparently it is also available in coles and woolworths.

I think we all know by now that preseed is a boy friendly lube. It was created NOT to kill sperm. It's not perfect though. It's not even as good as EWCM. Sperm need something to swim in. If there is no EWCM and you add Sylk I think you might as well just take a BCP. All the girl friendly lubes KILL sperm! I think it's a step in the wrong direction to add a lube which is not sperm friendly at this point when you are already having trouble getting pregnant with one attempt - effectively lowering your odds of conception.
So what if you don't get pregnant in the next month or two. Then what? You are getting to the point where you are going to have to add attempts and loosen diet. All these things sway BLUE to some extent. I don't think I'd tell someone in their first month TTC to use preseed over Sylk but you are not there anymore. And I'm not suggesting you use it like the blue swayers do. Like I said that's what atomic told me to do a few months ago. She said preseed is probably neutral in small amounts. I'm sure she will have an opinion too but she's been really busy lately and not getting through the posts as fast as she used to.
I just want you to get pregnant without having to drop everything because if you don't get pregnant then you can't get your girl xx

Small amount of Preseed or any sperm-safe lubricant is ok when TTC a girl if you need some.

Ditto what Covered said. I wouldn't start off doing it but after a while and esp. when you're dry, ya gotta do what ya gotta do or the BD is terrible! A little bit of sperm-safe, conception friendly lube has been ok for us and has not seemed to affect sway results negatively.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm hoping not to need it but will get some sperm friendly stuff for just in case :)

Atomic I'm thinking I'll definately use a small amount of sperm safe lube as I'm beginning to think my body just doesn't have enough of the 'natural' stuff to help it along. But if I do this I'm thinking of doing our attempt the night of solid smiley rather than the morning after to aim for a day b4 o attempt again. I know timing is irrelevant but when you start introducing lube I also know I'm lowering my odds somewhat for pink and I was wondering if shifting to day b4 o instead of day of o will give my body more time to decide which sperm to go with lol. Hope this doesn't sound nuts and please let me know if you think it really wont matter regardless.
