Ok first of all Im sooooo very disappointed I can't even say!
Im doing this since April and wanted to try this cycle and of course Im sick.
It's like I just know this will happen! I was thinking hope I don't get sick when it's time and bummm of course Im!:hair:
Anyway not a biggie a little sore throat and headache feels like a cold. DD4 is sick too.
All day mostly I feel good only feel sick on the morning. But I don't know if it will get worse or not....
So if I try I get a girl no chance for a boy? Anyone got a boy when sick with a cold?
WTH should I do now? Im so tired of diet and sups and spending money ect.
I was sick On Sunday and ok yesterday and sick again today .I don't get this.
Help me!

Hi flava, there was another thread like this a week or so ago, some girls did have boys whilst having a cold. I think the general consensus was as long as your illness is not draining your body of nutrients, such as a vomiting bug, I doesn't matter. I hope that helps, I'm sure some boy mums will reassure you that they got pregnant whilst sick, gl!!

Hi swish thanks. The thing is Im scared that I will have another girl like this...I wold like to know if any girl mom( or boy-girl mom) got a boy being sick with a cold. I think if a boy mom got pregnant with a boy while sick is different because she only have boys ykwim?
Oh Im so sad...and I have to tell DH we can't ttc he will be angry.

Flava I am SO ready for you to get your attempt on but I have to say ... as much work as you have put in, I'm pretty sure that IF you got pg this month and IF it was a girl, you'd forever kick yourself for not waiting. (((HUGS))) I agree that it probably isn't going to sway since you are still taking in the right foods, etc, but if you're having any doubts I think you should wait and go for it on a month when you feel strong and ready and good about your attempt.

begonia_ I think the same ! For sure Im will go crazy if it's a girl and I will think because I was sick! But does it matter if Im not sick anymore when we have to dtd ??
Im so sad Im crying here ...
And who says Im not going to be sick next month? It's back to school and back to the freaking germs !
Ok I just hate this.

{hugs} flava. You're on cd2 so do you have a couple of weeks before you O? Perhaps this will pass quickly with all those healthy supplements you're taking!

Flava~ I have same thoughts as Z. If you're healthy the week leading up to O, and it's the beginning of germ season, I would go for it. It's better than crashing and burning on the diet, or putiing it off for potentially a few more months. Just my 2 cents. Hugs to you, Hun. xoxo

Thanks ladies.
Yeah Im on CD2 so I was thinking if Im not sick already before we have to try and not sick on ttc days and O day then it would be all ok? Or just because Im sick on starting the cycle I can't try because it will sway girl the whole cycle?
I don't know...called DH and told him...he is not happy but he said we wait if we must.
Only there is no guarantee Im not going to be sick next cycle! And no way I can't wait for months because I will only try till Febr. plus I don't think the diet and sups works if Im on it to long.

Flava I do agree with DM and Z ... if you're only CD 2 and you kick this cold in the next week, I'd still go for it as long as you've kept up with your "boy diet" while sick. I had a 24 hour bug 5 days before I got pg, had a fever and sore throat, but ate fine and it was gone quickly so I didn't worry about it. If I had been unable to eat I probably wouldn't have gone through with it.

See how you feel these next few days before you make the call! Are you still able to eat well right now?

Yes I eat just fine and drink a lot. I don't have a fever actually my temp is pretty low. I don't have mucus no runny nose no coughing or anything like that. At least not now...I just feel sick have a little sore throat my eyes hurts and want to go sleep.
Well see I think if Im fine after AF we will try if Im sick then we just have to wait till next month.
I called DH and told him. We are not happy but what can I do? We just wait until next time then.

Flava since you're eating well, low temp ... no other real symptoms ... I'd chalk this up to more of a seasonal allergy or light cold than really being "sick" and I would say go for it if you do feel better after AF; I think with all the months of diet, etc ... you are a boy making MACHINE!!!!

lol begonia I wish I will be a boy making machine! DH also said maybe it's allergy...I have no clue. Just hope it will go away very fast!

I think everyone is right. If you are sick during AF, I don't think it is a big deal, I think you just shouldn't be sick when you TTC. I hope you have a swift recovery and can TTC this cycle!

I'm of two minds on this, because I do agree with begonia and if (God forbid) you did TTC and get an opposite I worry that it would haunt you. But at the same time, I really DO think that if you're only on CD 2, by the time O day rolls around you should be back in the clear.

My other concern is if your DH catches it, if there is fever involved, it could lower his count somewhat.

You are so right that there is no guarantee later on that you won't be sick then, either. So my gut instinct would be to go ahead and TTC this cycle with the thoughts that this may be your best chance (because at least you know you're prob. not going to be sick right on O.) I would drink plenty of liquids and take Rob/Muc. even if it makes you very snotty! o.O

Plus, keep in mind that we don't have hard evidence on this, just our own observations to go off of and those could be totally wrong.

Im on CD5 and almost nothing today.Only my right eye feel like it puffed up in the corner and I have to rub it. uhhh . I had the same thing 2-3 times this summer. Everyone says it's allergie . I don't know...Im scared now...
DH is not sick at all. And he said to try but I want to wait for next month. I guess I just scared to ttc in all. Maybe if I don't try I come up with some excuse for next month too. I would wait but October will be already 6 months on dieat and sups so Im also scared after that it wont work because it will be to long on it.
Anyway why sick sways pink? because no1 said that yet! I remember back on IG they said it's because being sick lowers pH. But that's it?? Well we don't really believe in pH here right?
Ohhhh we may try and don't get a bfp anyway so have to go in Oct. too.

Yeah, you're prob. right about that.

My thinking on illness swaying pink has been that being sick might send a message to your body that times aren't very good and a girl would have a better shot at survival...but I have nothing to back that up!!!

Thanks!
Im eating the same and taking the sups and drinks so i hope it's all ok and my body don't think times are not good! I did not feel weak or so I just had that symptoms , my head and throat but it's all gone now only my eye feel funny.
anyway thanks all for help!

I'm glad you're feeling better! I have this weird thing where whenever I laugh really hard or cry, my tear duct gets infected. It happens all the time. So I KNOW that even if you do have an eye infection, it can't sway much if at all because I practically always have one and I still have the 4 boys!!!!

Flava

wow Im sorry about that! Must be so uncomfortable! I don't think I have eye infection because you can see nothing on my eye it's just feel so big on one corner but it's not . It also could be just from all the rubbing.
I also feel better when Im inside. hmmm

WHen my oldest was a baby, she had a clogged tear duct. I had to massage it all the time. Have you tried massaging it?

Yes, when it happens I have to do the hot compress/massage thing if I want it to go away, but it happens SO much that I hardly ever bother any more.

Mine is an injury from a surgery I had when I was a teenager - scar tissue.

That does sound totally like an allergy. Have you ever tried the allergy eye drops??? They are antihistamines but are limited just to your eye and won't dry you up or sway pink.
