And the worst part is... She has a boy!!

I know junie. Some women are literally clueless what they are talking about. My both boys are totally different personalities. My older one was always a quite type and little one is all over the place and a bit louder.
But my niece is louder than both my boys and is super active and my sister goes crazy with her most of the times. So sex doesn't matter how kids behave

Junie- Ugh, some people just don't get it! It really irks me when people make negative comments about boys when they have one or more themselves! I can understand people being clueless when all they have are girls, but people that make negative comments about boys when they have them too break my heart! I feel sorry for her boy if that is how she feels.

Huge congrats again! I'm just smitten over our third boy and could very easily be done! He is such a dream baby [emoji4]! DH and I were talking today that our family feels much more complete and we couldn't be happier! I told him that I'll keep the door open should he change his mind, but he has until April to let me know for sure.

Ugg Junie- at least your not one of those moms. I see plenty of girls that irk the heck out of me and make me very thankful for my boys lol. I am sad here in America so many boys are cut and circumsized which is sadly legal here. It makes me wish many of them were having girls:(
We had a good thanksgiving just me and the fam. I did not go out in the black Friday madness but spent today organizing my play/ sunroom. Feeling good besides being stuffed:)

Congrats to you boyboygirl and babypink on your baby boys! I think you're right in that the hardest part may be when they're head over heels for a new girl and it's not mama! How lucky they are to be so loved though! [emoji170] Also, any suggestions on nice diaper bags I'm all ears! I love the lily-jade line...may need to save up for that!

Congrats True on your little girl!! I know a family (actually, several!) with three girls and they are one of my favorite families! Their dad is this big, macho guy but he's done the dad's dance with each of his girls every year on the dance team as they went through high school. His youngest is a senior now so he's really good! [emoji6] you've got a lucky little girl and a beautiful family[emoji177][emoji166]

Atsaukina I hope you're feeling better or have someone to talk to about your feelings. I can't imagine how tough that must be. I hope you've had a brighter day today. [emoji173]️

Lily Jade is my favorite too. I've never really spent much money on a diaper bag because they didn't interest me. I'd usually use a regular purse too. With my second we found out we needed a bigger bag but I used a cheap one I picked up because it was on sale. Now that I've seen the lily jade ones I'm like "where have you been all my life??!!" I love it! I can see me using their bags (since they're leather) well past the toddler years. I'm thinking carry-alls for vacations, lugging sports bottles and sneakers to sports games, weekend bag, etc. I realized all my bags are leather, no wonder I fell in love with a leather diaper bag. It's so my style. Sorry for the rant! I'm just too excited about it lol

I'm in such a weird place emotionally - even though ultrasound said boy (at 19 weeks) I'm still holding on to the tiniest hope there was a mistake :(.. I have a 3D appt on the 13th of dec so at least I'll see for myself then. I always wanted 3 kids so I'm not thinking I want to keep trying for a girl... And a big part of me is perfectly happy having a 3rd boy. But I just always thought one of my kids would be a girl! And it's strange bc this is the first time I only had one girl name I loved and not any boy names. Sorry for the blabbering but as you all know it's not so easy to just a talk about these things out loud. And even though I have with my hubby, I don't want to keep harping on it bc I do and will love this little boy with my whole heart just as the other two (if it is indeed a boy haha). I know of one case personally that was told boy and it turned out to be a girl so I guess that's why I keep holding onto some hope. But even that hope makes me feel guilty!

I know someone that that happened to as well. It's made me a little skeptical of ultrasounds as well. But that's just one person out of hundreds that I know got accurate results. I'm not holding my breath. It would be fun though, huh? I also know several families that have 3 or 4 of a kind. I'm thinking I'm joining them soon. Sometimes I forget I'm pregnant (crazy I know) and think I'd love to have 2 boys and a girl, then realize Oh wait! There's already a boy baking in there. It's so weird. I think it's because, like you, I always imagined one out of the three HAD to be a girl.

Speaking of, how many of us have 3 or 4 of a kind? Maybe this is something I can see in the signature but it doesn't show up on my mobile. It seems like many of us are having the same gender as our precious kids.

I agree, there seem to be a lot of sway opposites in this due date group. I currently have 3 boys and 1 girl, this baby will make it 4 boys. I will be swaying again in 2017 but that really will be my last chance (she says again lol I was supposed to stop at 3 lol)

Babypinkno3- I agree the lilly jade bags are beautiful! I'm going to try and find a new leather bag I like for Christmas or my birthday (in Jan) and I'll be looking at both traditional bags/purses and diaper bags.

I'm also having my third boy! I had a miscarriage in Jan of last year, after already having been on the diet 5 months, then went back on diet/exercise but ended up in hospital with ear infection! (crazy right!) and had to be given very strong doses of cortisone which my doctor later told me definitely prevented me from getting pregnant for months. Anyway after having been on the diet for over a year and doing just one attempt I was really over it and had three attempts in the fertile period with this baby- so my sway was quite weak but I was always fine with having another boy :)

I love the idea of four boys two girls mandyp85, good luck next year!

I m having my scan in two weeks. I hope i get a good nub shot. I m getting anxious as well. Everyone in my family is preg and is waiting for me to find out sex of my baby. They already have both so not a prob for them. I get a bit stressed out sometimes with so many questions about babys sex.
I hope its my baby girl

Just reminding everyone if you have found out what you are having can you please put the information into the spreadsheet. It's really easy - only takes about 5 mins as it's just multi choice. Just follow the link in the add your sway section :). Don't think it works in tapatalk so use safari if on your phone xx

Where is the add your sway thing you are talking about? I just found out yesterday that we are having our first baby girl in April!! Still feels surreal to even be typing that. We have two boys who are absolute dreams, and we would have been happy either way. I did sway girl for about six months (that felt like two years!).

Hoping you hear boy Kizzie!

Question for you ladies: I used to get white, creamy CM pretty regularly (I know that's normal in pregnancy). Lately though it's been watery, and seems like a lot of it! Not like it is so much is soaks my pants or runs down my legs, but enough to cover the crotch in my underwear. Is this normal for it to be watery? I'm afraid it could be amniotic fluid or something leaking, but it doesn't have a smell and isn't like all day, just occasional gushes, once or twice a day.

I have a really weird pregnancy symptom that after the 1st 4 months the hair on my legs/underarms doesn't grow. It grows like crazy for the 1st 4 months then nothing. It makes life easier though when the belly gets big.

Also at nearly 28 weeks I still have no heartburn. Which is very strange for me. On the last two I was going through bottles of antacids each week. I am sure it will hit very soon though

Junie, I honestly found going from 0-1 the absolute hardest, after that all babies have seemed to just fit in, I am a little nervous about my next baby tho as my youngest ds is still so dependant on me, which of course I knew he would be when I conceived but he is not as chilled out as he was then lol I'm sure it'll be fun and difficult in equal measures but they are not little for long so I'm very sure we will cope just fine and I'm sure you will too hun :-)

^^agree completely! Going from 0-1 was SO hard! DS1 didn't sleep well until 2.5yrs old (he still needs less sleep than a normal person [emoji23]!) and needed to be engaged with someone. As a boy, he's great and easy but man he was a hard baby!!

My DS2 is so independent like me, but he too was a mama's boy. I was worried about how he would be with DS3, but I prepared him early while I was pregnant. I nurse in the couch where he can come and sit and snuggle with me if he chooses, and I make one on one time for him during DS3's morning nap. This has helped tremendously! Both of my boys love and adore DS3!

So far, it's been pretty easy. We will see once he comes into his personality and interacts with the boys more.

Congratulations on your baby boy Daisy. I thought I was done after my 3rd but here I am expecting number 5, who I also said would be my last and now I don't think he will be. I guess I'm saying never say never. I found ruling out having any more kids made it so much harder but accepting that actually I can have another helped me find peace with having another boy. Even though I very well may not have anymore kids keeping the having more kids option open has helped no end. Hope that all makes sense, it sounds a little bit gibberish when I read it back lol. I had a sweep with my last baby, he was born the next day. It started my pains off which then died down over night and to get them going again I just did lots of housework. And no - vacation from Dec. 23-Jan. 3 so we're back on the 4th. At least my anatomy scan is Jan 5th and will give me something to look forward to that last week!

I want to do everything to avoid being induced with pitocin! That's thier other plan.... What else did everybody do to kick start labor? I think I tried almost everything last time, but maybe I missed something......

Ash- with my DS1 I had my membranes swept when I was a week past my due date. I started to develop low amniotic fluid, and they wouldn't let me go beyond 10 days post due date. I had them swept at 9:00am, and after a day of walking, I went into labor at 9:00pm! He was born 6 hours later! I was also 3cm and 50% dilated when I had then swept.

FX and GL to you!!!

I had a sweep on my 1st at 39 and 1/2 weeks. We were trying to get her moving before Christmas. It did nothing just made me very crampy that day. I went into labour 3 days later the night of my due date ( I had reflexology done that day - it may have helped to get things going too)

Why do docs say they are vbac friendly and then push to induce which raises chances of c-sec??Makes no sense agggg!!! Sweeping membranes only works if you are about to go in labor anyways like you are dilated ect. I had mine done at 41 weeks and went into labor that night. I ws at a 2. 19 hours later when I went into hossy after contrx. Every 5 min. That whole time( 1st baby) I was a 3 lol. Doc cannot make you do anything. Just ignore him and when you get past due date you can discuss sweeping as an option if your body is ready and you are gbs -

Ash-Why would he want babe born at 37 weeks? Many babies lungs aren't even mature then. Even the ACOG recommends 39 weeks now. Unless it is emergency babe does best growing until its ready to come.
37 weeks and he'd be stripping you every week. Ewww. Thankfully midwives don't even do vaginal checks unless u request them. One lady could be 4 cm. For weeks while another could be 1cm. One day and in labor next second. Checking tells you nothing just introduces bacteria into you.

Ash- I think it is a good idea to tell your Dr. to wait until weeks 39 or 40. I've heard it is much more likely to be successful the closer you are to due date. :)

XXforhubby
December 21st, 2015, 09:14 AM
My doc only sweeps membranes when you get past your due date and you are dilated and effaced some. He says it won't do anything unless something is already started.

^^agree with Junie and Atsaukina!

Well he doesn't want to do any inducing or c-section till 39 weeks so I'm not sure why he would do the sweep at 37 weeks either... Really doesn't make much sense... I'm actually in the process of looking at a different practice to see if they are more vbac friendly.... I talked to him about wanting to do natural instead of any pitocin & stuff & he did say that he'd let me go to 41 weeks if I really want too... He's just nervous about baby getting big & uterine rupture but I'm sure that's a little chance since I've been doing so much reserch... I'm going to tell him no on the sweep for 37 weeks!! Thanks ladies!

Is that why you had csec for other children because of size? Most women can birth the size of their baby but their are a small few who need assistance even after birthing in correct positions and being in a comfortable place. My friend just had an 11# at home and all my boys were 10+ at home and fast pushing phases. My 4th child actually came w/O any pushing at all from me. Thought the 5th would be like that but no luck lol.

Ahhhh...anyone have any good things for a cold (most importantly a stuffy nose??). I've been drinking so much fluid, getting as much rest as I can, Vicks, steamy shower, breathe right strips, saline nose spray, ect. And NOTHING is working. Just so much snot and stuffiness. [emoji30]

At my wits end last night I did one small spray in each nostril of nasonex. That was like heaven on earth and I was finally able to sleep!! But, I don't want to rely on it and only use it at night before bed. I'm just miserable and with Christmas now it makes it even worse. [emoji17]

Ash- uggg yeah its difficult when you have to know your rights as they seem to go out the window when women are prego. A due date is just an estimate so I don't know why ob's trying to box you in it. Hope you find a good one. I am very fortunate to live in an area w lots of great midwives(home birth) to choose from. Hope everyone is having a great Christmas and that sickness goes away soon. Hello! I actually went to 2 different places for a 3D scan - the first time I couldn't see the boy parts and even though I was pretty sure it was correct I just had to see for myself lol. I don't have one, but I should lol! I have a few friends who swear by it. I also have a fear of doing it but everyone claims its painless and easy. I just haven't ever been desperate enough to buy and try one. But when your miserable in pregnancy it may just be the courage one needs to try I also have lots of success with using a few drops eucalyptus EO in coconut oil and then rubbed on my chest or feet. Also cut up onion near bed, sounds weird and it smells gross but if you can bear the smell it's produced good results for me.

Lol I'm in the same boat where it completely creeps me out, but man, feeling this crappy can't be half as bad as using a damn netti pot. My step-MIL gave me some EO to put in my feet (theives maybe?) and a mix of others. I think it worked a bit!

Question ladies - I feel like my uterus has been contracting off and on lately. It's not really painful, but uncomfortable? I always think it might be baby moving (maybe it is?) and then I feel my uterus and it's rock hard! Almost like after sex and having O. I'm 19+2, is this contractions? Normal? I have my anatomy scan next Tuesday (although still staying team green [emoji6]) so I will ask next week but wanted to check with you ladies.

Totally normal! It's called Braxton Hicks contractions. They are harmless but can be uncomfortable/painful. It happens as your uterus grows to prepare it and baby for delivery! Don't be surprised if they increase or get stronger the closer you get to your due date!

If you don't like a Netti pot (I hate them!) you can try the Neil Med Sinus Rinse kit. It is a squeeze bottle that you put distilled water that has been warmed and one of their premixed packets (it's an isotonic solution when mixed). You control how much pressure is exerted and the water goes up and over your septum and out the opposite nostril. It cleans the sinuses well and more thoroughly than a Netti pot. Any grocery store or Pharmacy carries them. It is over the counter. I always rinse my sinuses with it when I feel a cold coming on. I haven't gotten sick yet and there have been 4 NASTY colds that went around my house!!

When is your next scan? I need to know what you are having [emoji38]! I'm so happy for you [emoji4]!!

Thanks on both accounts XX! I got nervous thinking that Braxton Hicks could lead to preterm labor (it just seems so early!). Glad to know my uterus is expanding - at 20 weeks I basically still have no bump - maybe it will just pop soon! [emoji4]

I may need to get the sinus rinse kit! DH now has my cold and you ladies know how it goes when they're sick. Nevermind the fact that he could take all sorts of medicine to feel better and get through the day. But I think this sounds great - I will have to keep up with this simply because it may be a LONG winter if it's already starting!!

Next scan is Jan 5th! It's the "big" one so I've been thinking about how I'm going to get a sneak peek? I'd like to think when she's just moving the wand around we'll see SOMETHING!

Taytum I'm not the the best to give out advice as I'm on number four and my motto now is less is more. With my first and second I had everything practically. My faves that i have is my carriers (wrap and a ssc), my Medela freestyle pump, the radian rxt, love the honest mama diapers (cloth diaper laundry is too much for me to handle with three kids but I love sbish, goodmama and grovia) and EMAB baby wash. On my cell and being lazy with typing out so lmk if you need the abbreviations fully spelled. I could give you a huge what I think you need list if you really are interested but those things are my top favs that my pregnant brain can think of right now

I wont b any help either as i didnt buy much with my first and second as i was given some hand downs wid ds1. I wasnt sure what to buy as well so i bought what ever was necessary.
With ds2 i bought car seat bouncer and essential clothing.
But with this pregnancy times are different. So it is becoming overwhelming for me too. I seem like a first time mom snd dont know what yo buy n what not to buy. I already bought some nb clothes and two nice diaper bags.
Searching for nice deals on cribs snd strollers. If any of u ladies find any let me know.

We've so far just bought our crib and dresser (both from Target) and the rest we'll wait on. We did go and try out some strollers and such and found ones we liked, but will be waiting for the shower!

Also, what's the difference between just a car seat and a travel system (car seat, stroller, base combo?). Do we need both or just a good travel system and can use that car seat in our vehicles?

Shopping is soo fun as there is soo much cute baby stuff:). I had all hand me down boy stuff w my dd. I don't do cribs so don't need one of those. All we have is the girlee outfits in the picture lol.
Carseats- travel systems usually are small and only go to 20lbs. Great if you will be taking carseat out to click into stroller. Carseats should never go on top of shopping carts like you see some people do. It says right on the cart not to. A great infant seat will stay rearfacing till about 35 lbs so that is what I look for. The old recommendation of turning forward facing at one and 20lbs is long gone.
My needs are a simple bouncing chair for babe and a moby wrap/ssc when they are bigger.if you are having a baby shower that is fabulous. Haven't had one since my 2nd child. So fun to have family and friends celebrate you. Congrats.

I'm an end of March DD - 12 weeks to go. This pregnancy has gone in a whirlwind. For the first 16 weeks I think I turned off emotionally due to the bleeding, I truly thought we weren't going to have this baby, it was only after I started feeling movements that I suddenly bonded.
I think this adds to the acceptance even more of our little opposite :HH:

Bee- You still have a chance! Do you think it would be easier if you knew for sure? I found a lot of peace after I 100% knew what we were having. I was slowly able to let go of any of the ideas I had had about having a girl and instead fill my mind up with how many wonderful things could happen having another boy. I have lots of new fantasies which involve trips with adults sons, and loving relationships with future daughter in laws, and the like.

AFM- I'm due April 7th. My first came at 41+1 and my 2nd came at 39+5 (but I took castor oil tablets the night before to try and help things along). My 1st has his birthday end of March so I definitely want to make it to April and would love a natural due date baby. Baby is once again on the large side (first was 10) so I think both my Dr./midwife/ and I wouldn't really be comfortable with going too far over the due date. I know what stroller and car seat I want but will be purchasing them in Feb. Totally feel like time is starting to go too fast!

Atsaukina1
January 8th, 2016, 10:44 AM
My first two came 41 weeks. My 3rd 40+5,4th 38+6, and 5 39 and was already 10.5 lbs. I don't worry about size with all my boys coming easily over 10 but if I had a long or difficult pushing stage I would Def worry.
Feeling very weak every morning can't stand for long. I ate yogurt and granola, then I had cottage cheese and pineapple thinking the protein, sugar carb combo would help but it never does. Takes me half a day to be able to do stuff around the house. I have never had gd and have blood sugar tested and this happens every time. Just wish I could feel better as I have so much to do.

Natural inductions? I ride out my prwgos as long as possible lol. Eggplant parmesan mmmm. I would never do castor oil. Stimulating nipples lol. Oh the crazy things women do when trying to go into labor. I know babe will come when it wants so I leave it alone:)

Regarding your other post I love my snap and go which is very light and car seat goes right in! Have used it for 4 kids now. My Medela pump -have always gone back to work at 6 weeks post partum and I spend a lot of time in my car for work and I buy the travel/car charger for it.

I take a small rolling suitcase but overpack as I don't use half the stuff! Pack panties you don't care that you will dispose of -as it might get bloodied even with a large maxi pad. Warm pajamas and shirts that will make it easy to breast feed!

Good luck!

Many midwives actually give you a little castor oil cocktail here as the first step for induction but normally not until you're over. All the other stuff like walking, jumping down steps, sex, massage, spicy food, etc have never helped me but they don't seem to hurt either! :D

In my bag (I use a carry-on size trolley) I bring. PJs/loungewear that are cute which I can also nurse in, lots of big cotton underwear which can be ruined, my kindle, cell phone charger, a going home outfit for the baby (we forgot this last time LOL), washcloth, towel, face soap, bodywash, hair brush, hair accessories, lotion, make-up, head phones, slippers, and a robe.

^^^ agree!! I also bring a few diapers and wipes. One time I ran out and the nurses were all dealing with an emergency and couldn't bring me more in time. It was a crazy mess!

I also bring a few different sizes of jeans (I'm a jeans girl!), because you won't know what size you'll be after you deliver.

I bring nipple butter (Earth Mama Angel Baby Nipple Butter) to apply after each feeding.

I also bring a few packaged snacks or fruit in case you get the munchies overnight or it takes FOREVER to get to your room post delivery. It took 4 hours for me to get to my room with DS2!

after water broke 24 + hours. After reading side effects I chose not to take it and wouldn't. Who want to have diareah and cramps in labor? Not to mention the extra risk of mecomium. I just see so many people suggest it, it boggles my mind. Babe will come when it's ready and when people try these inductions and they work babe was already otw:

Honestly I had a great experience with castor oil and would use it again BUT I would never encourage someone to use it without first discussing it with their midwife.

Also the meconium probably has more to do with the babies being overdue and nothing to do with castor oil as no good studies have been done where they could show what really caused it. And if you were still having stomach issues during labor then your dosage was incorrect and too much. It's supposed to jump start labor not make you miserable for the whole thing.

If you can wait forever for the baby to come that is awesome but many women have deadlines set by their doctors and for me it is a very easy decision between a hospital induction and trying castor oil. But again everyone should just talk to their DR's/midwives and do whatever they feel comfortable with. Hopefully none of us need an induction!

Do any of you know if it's possible to have an induction with a home birth? It will likely be in Germany. Unless my house is not done...

Bc of my back I probably will need to be induced early...if I ever get pregnant again. But I really want a home birth. I hate hospitals.

Hi Maiden!!! Midwives are a bit skittish here when it comes to home birth I've found. If you found a good one I imagine it could be possible but finding a midwife willing to do a home birth can be hard depending on where you live. If you start looking early enough it could work though.

I'm an hour South of Cologne. I'd be fine with a midwife, also okay with paying for an OB if that's needed/possible. I'm on the Kasse but pay for most things Privat. If my house is not done I will rent a place or stay in a hotel suite, I am NOT giving birth in this decrepit hovel! So I could move to anywhere...if I'm due in Winter I might just go to the South of France. If the new house is done I'd like to give birth there/here.

Thanks Junie! I will start asking around now. How are you feeling? Will you go for a 4th one day?

I get it at my local health food store where I live. You can go to their website and order it there or from Amazon. It's the best! I've used it now with three kids and won't use anything else. I'm allergic to lanolin so that's not an option for me. It's great on chapped lips, cuts, burns, and scrapes too!

Xx- cream sounds great. I had horrible cracked nips w first for 1st few weeks of nursing and just expressed milk on them and air dry. Haven't needed anything for the others as they are nursing champs from the start.
Homebirths induction- can't picture a homebirth midwife doing an induction as they carry extra risks and need more monitoring. In the US depending on what state, like mine, they can't even write rx so they def. Couldn't but every country/ state is different. Also if you have back problems and you might need/want pain medication they can't give that either but again maybe they can in Germany. Something to discuss.

Can wait forever lol. Reminds me of my midwives saying " no one has ever been pregnant forever" lol
While I would never stay w a provider that gave me a deadline I understand some women feel pressured or have other non medical reasons to induce.

Fortunately I can get pain meds no problem and they are ones that can be used for birth. My closest friend here is a nurse and can set up my IV, or inject anything as needed. I could probably get the induction meds myself in another country but I'd rather have an experienced midwife/ob help out. Surely if paid enough someone would be willing? I'm only 20 min from a major hospital and if I stay in a hotel I can be 5 min from one.

Just popping in to share. I'm in Canada and so is my SIL but she's in a different province. She wanted a home birth but also wanted to get induced because she was 41 plus weeks. She had a midwife and what they did was took her to the hospital, gave her the induction cocktail, mostly herbs I think? And the brought her back home. She tried for a home birth but it didn't work out. She did however get a home birth finally for her third she just gave birth to in December. So yay!

Just wanted to share her induction story.

Mommy, thank you, great idea!

Ash, my mother went into labour while filming a commercial prenatal exercise video, it turned into a home water birth video! She have birth just a bit over an hour after contractions started, in our wood burning hot tub! 10lb baby boy, I was 7 so remember it all quite well. She loved it (I was a hospital birth, she was in labour for over 48 hours, forceps delivery & episiotomy against her wishes).

I have done two water births as well. Think this one will be on land as this house is soo cold even with heat on. My 4 th child, 1st water birth, tricked me into thinking the water helped w pain lol. He came w absolutely zero pushing from me, didn't feel ring of fire, anything. Was only in the water for one ctrx. As I felt I needed to push and got in and then he was born. Next guy got in the water maybe 30 min. Before pushing( I like to walk and be standing mostly) and man that water didn't help one bit lol. And then there is the fun climbing out part w babe and placebta/ umbillical cord all attached bwahaha.

Sure he will never have the Father Daughter dances, but he loves rough housing with our boys and is looking forward to helping them become great men.

Hi ladies. I have been AWOL for a while with some personal issues, totally unrelated to the pregnancy which is going great. I am over 35 weeks now and only 28 days before we meet our little girl. Who is currently hanging out in breach but I am convinced she is still spinning around a lot (judging by where the kicks are) and just happens to be breach at my appointments.

Bee you sound exactly like how i feel too. The GD hits randomly but im looking forward to meeting this little man very much and he also is our last baby. High tech would mean overseas for us which is certainly not possible and i read through inter country adoption even more complicated.

I never thought i wouldn't have a daughter. Its abit distressing whei focus on that thought so i try and back off and just look around at what i have. I don't really talk to anyone about what im feeling but dh feels pretty lousy that he couldn't give me a daughter so part of me is trying to remain strong for him too.

XXforhubby, did I miss a post where you decided to not go for #4? What made you change your mind?

I've keep going back and forth with trying for a 4th, but now hubby is set on it. Regardless if it's another boy or a girl, he wants a 4th in order to avoid having a middle child or one that is always left out. I agree, but I think I need to see how having 3 feels. I get GD too sometimes, but I'm starting to realize that it's mostly caused by other people's comments. I don't see anything wrong with three of a kind, but everyone assumes we are disappointed. Sure I'd love a girl, but man, three boys is pretty awesome. I feel lucky that they get to have two same-sex siblings. Sometimes it makes me wish for a 4 boy. But really, I'm gonna be selfish and hope for a girl so I can buy pink stuff lol. At least I now know that if the 4th is a boy I'll still be happy about it.

Long story short, my DH is leaning towards being done. I'm planning on doing a stealth sway just in case and see what happens. I'm pretty good at convincing DH [emoji4]. I'm ok with our three boys, but I don't want to wake up 5 years from now regretting not trying one more time. My sway will have to be über undercover, but I know my DH's heart longs for a girl. He's just trying to convince himself he's done. He said he doesn't want to get his hopes up one more time [emoji20]. So that's where I'm at. I'm also keeping in mind I may not get pregnant since I'll be nursing a young baby still.

I often think of the "5 years from now" scenario. I'm hoping swaying and odds will be in favor of having a girl, but I'm also preparing myself to hear boy. I know way too many people with 4 of a kind, so I'm thinking it's not as uncommon as they seem. But still, I'd never stop wondering "what if" if I didn't try. I hope nursing helps your sway, I'll be right there with you. :)

That is tough Atsaukina. My brother and I are about 5 years apart and we were close growing up, but once I hit teens we fell apart. But, that could have been because we were opposites too. I work with a lot of teenage girls who have young siblings and they actually do take on a maternal instinct and love their little sisters. I hope you're situation is the same!

Atsaukina my two oldest any youngest sister are 23/22 years apart. My oldest nephew is only 3 years younger then my youngest sister. And my older sisters did take on a more maternal roll with my lil sis up until her mid-teens but now that has developed into a more typical sister relationship. I think families with big age gaps will have that kind of changing relationship. I am sure they will be fine and bond in a unique way that suits them.

One week to go for my c-section. If she stays in that long. Head is well engaged for the past few days. I keep expecting to find the mucus plug with all the pressure she is putting on

All the best Pearl327.. I'm excited for all you ladies due in March. I'm having loads more bh contractions. especially when I walk. Find it really uncomfortable and keep wondering if I might go into early labour. Had to go to maternity triage ward to be checked and of course once I laid down the contractions stopped. I only have them when walking and standing. Anyone ever experienced this??? 6 to 7 more weeks to go for me.

Congratulations tiff so pleased for you, enjoy your little girl. Xxx

Hope everyone else is feeling well? Cant believe how quickly everybodys due date is coming around.

I am due in 2 days and I'm looking forward to meeting our little man, still feels very strange to think that we will have a new baby in the house very soon, I think thats because I never expected to have 5 kids lol. If baby does not come before Friday I am booked in to have a membrane sweep which got my last baby moving so I fully expect to have had him by the end of the week, scary :-/

Kizzie- are you staying hydrated well? Make sure to drink lots and of course listen to your body if it says you need a rest get those legs up and relax.
Mandy- exciting. I keep tripping we will have a #6 in this house and a girl at that.

Yes I bet its a lovely, strange feeling after having 4 boys in a row to know you are having a girl, I'm hoping to be where you are next year. A 2nd girl to finish off the family.

OK ladies so my little man arrived today, right on time, came entirely of his own accord :-) he weighs 6lb 14oz and is called Harvey James, I did not agree with my husband on this name but thats what he is telling everyone he is called so I guess thats that lol. He is my smallest baby yet but was born back to back, as was my dd, so that made labour more painful than normal lol. Hope all you ladies are well. Good luck to you all on your upcoming arrivals :-)
