Hi ladies,

I'm a long time reader but first time poster. Just looking for some advice. We have 2 amazing boys & decided to try once more for a little girl. I was following the LE diet (loosely) - no breakfast, only lunch & dinner, coffee & alcohol often, couch potato etc for about 12+ weeks. I was taking folic acid, vitex, saw palmetto, cranberry for about 8 weeks. We had been trying for about 3-4 months with no luck as my cycles were all over the place since having the Merina taken out in March. I was temping & using ovulation tests to pinpoint ovulation as well but that varied from day 11 to day 19 to nothing at all. No real EWCM either except for the last month before we got our BFP [emoji4].

The month (& we had decided to not try anymore) we fell pregnant, we BD on CD9, I got a solid smiley face on the OPK on CD11, only had EWCM on CD12 & had a BFP on 12DPO (very faint). FF puts me ovulating on CD11 but I'm not sure about that either (when does one actually ovulate once you get a positive?). I also had a triphasic chart for the first time ever. I'm nearly 7 weeks so have a long way to go before finding out plus hubby is saying we should keep this one a surprise. I guess I'm looking for some advice/guidance on my chances for a girl... Thanks [emoji18].

Sounds like you did a lot leading up to the attempt! Sounds like you have a good chance to me! Congrats!

I don't guess at people's chances. I feel like it serves no purpose other than to create false hope or false despair. You always have a chance at a girl and you did a lot to sway. I'll send you a ton of pink dust. :)

You do generally O about 1 1/2 to 2 days after your positive OPK so Oing on CD 11 is def. possible. The month I conceived my daugher I also ovulated early (confirmed by ultrasound) and also had EWCM even after O. :agree: Good luck!
