Hi all . I'm a girl swayer but wanted to share this with you all. DH was trying to find a good lube for our girl sway and we couldn't find certain one's and he ended up calling and talking to a rep from astroglide about the ph of their lubes. They didn't know we were swaying, just that we are TTC. Anyway, they have a new lube called "TTC" that I wanted to share with you all. It would be a "boy friendly" one that Im assuming is similar to other boy friendly lubes and you might want to see what atomic thinks of it but if you call them they will send you a sample . Just thought I'd share! 27941

Question- and I may already know the answer- started boy diet - 2w later I got a yeast infection -ugh:( still doing boy diet but adding more diary as onviously my body reacted very poorly to cutting back so much (I've never had one before ever) my iud comes out wed but I've been trying to track o signs via cm,cp, opks, just started bbt again and I have an ovacue fertility monitor (amazing!!) I plan to test cm ph around o time this next month just as a tracking month before we actively start ttc:) lets say I test my ph around o time and it's above 7.5 is it necessary or beneficial in anyway to STILL use preseed with baking soda or is that used only if my ph needs a boost at attempt time? I don't have any problems with cm, dh and I did use preseed when ttc our first (every little bit helps was my thought) so we don't have an issue using it- but want to make the best choice for blue sway- I'm guessing if it's lower than 8 use it- if it's natually higher than 8 don't worry about it?

We don't cut out dairy for TTC a boy on our diet anyway so if you really don't want to give that up, I would just switch to full fat instead. I can assure you I got 4 boys with tons of dairy so we aren't buying into that one any more (skim should be avoidded, go with full fat.)
If you have EWCM that has pH in the 7's you do not need Preseed. Do not worry if your pH is in the 7's. No one needs pH in the 8's http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/11684-ph-pickle.html
I no longer recommend baking soda for anyone based on research indicating that high pH actually kills sperm. If you need something, I recommend sticking with just Preseed, even if you got a girl with it before. It never comes down to just one thing.

Wow! Your article is so interesting! So glad to know about NOT doing the baking soda in the preseed- I was actually dreading it as I didn't want another Yi!!!
Can I ask then - what do you think is most vital in a boy sway- timing (2-4d after o and then after pos opk?), supplements (fish oil, epo?) for dh (zinc, fish oil?) diet at all?

Diet for 6 weeks or longer http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-to-conceive-a-boy/16806-high-everything-diet-nutshell-version.html including a prenatal vitamin and extra Vit. D. The other boy supps I don't think are as critical as a good prenatal or multi plus extra Vit. D
Weight training for you
For DH, avoiding bad stuff like smoking, jogging/biking, hot baths or saunas, wearing tight underwear
DH take a good men's multivitamin (the men's over 50 ones are often very good, even for younger men)
3 attempts at or around positive OPK OR 5 attempts in fertile window O-3 thru O Day and if you can let go of timing, having regular unprotected sex every 2-4 days really does seem to help as well.
Things like Preseed and Robi/Muci may help as may female orgasm. :)
The anti-timing essay is here if you hadn't seen it. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/7691-trouble-timing.html

Thanks so much for your reply - I've been doing so much reading on my own and finding conflicting thoughts- I've read many of your articles on here and you obviously know your stuff!!:) just want to make sure I'm doing what I can for the blue sway but also don't what to do unnecessary things such as the baking soda for example- ugh please no more Yi! HE sounds great! how much vit d?

There are conflicting ideas but it's because we simply do not know. We base our ideas on the newest scientific research while "the other guys" all stick to the same old, same old stuff that most of us on here got 2,3,4 or more failed sways using. :) Just always ASK about something that seems confusing or contradictory because I always have an explanation why I suggest things that may be different.
1000 IU total including that in your prenatal or multi on the Vit. D. You can fudge this a little like if you end up with 1200 or so, that's ok. I jsut don't want people to take much more than that unles they have a deficiency and it's prescribed by a doctor.

Thank you so much for your help so far! I appreciate how quick you are to respond- your research is great! :) Can I ask- what does the vit D do for a boy sway? or is just for overall health ttc?

On paper the theory is because Vit. D is useful in the process where your body turns fats into cholesterols and then in turn testosterone and estrogen. In reality, we don't know with any level of certainty, but we have studies that show Vit D intake = more boys and many of us got boys taking it.

I've gotten three boys while taking vitamin d in different concentrations.

Yes it's just a ballpark number, around about 1000 and you're right at this time of year it's better to be over than under.
Some guys take the "over 50" thing too personally LOL. Just tell him it's easier than taking several different pills. It's because they have more ingredients in that one, that's all. :)
